Beyond the ethical concerns (as if that's not enough) The Joseph Poore University of Oxford Study, an incredibly robust meta analysis exploring the associated environmental costs with 'food' production covering 38,700 'farms' and 1,600 'processors' says '...impacts of the lowest-impact animal products typically exceed those of vegetable substitutes...' So yes, to address the climate emergency we must stop breeding, using, and killing our fellow animals.
No!!! Don't give in McDonalds!! I would sooner fight a war than give up meat, and if you think about it, animal husbandry actually helps foster global biodiversity on a far greater scale than traditional agriculture for the production of crops such as wheat. With animal husbandry, the ground does not have to be a monoculture of crops which are inhospitable to insect life, but instead it can be a diverse set of grass flora which would provide an ecological niche to other forms of wildlife. The nutrients from animal droppings would also help keep the soil healthy in the long term. This argument was made by Steve Irwin as a rebuttal to the cries of vegetarians, and I think that he was right. Shame on those protesters, holding a meat depot hostage. All they are doing is making the big mac more expensive to satisfy their own sense of righteousness, pushing for something which almost no one wants, which would incidentally likely lead to a critical blow to insect biodiversity. And without insects, much of our food supply would collapse in the absence of pollinators. I am not saying that there is anything wrong with vegetarianism, but please stop literally forcing it down the throats of others. Humans love meat for a reason.
@@julianshepherd2038 If you disagree with me, please share your argument. I love a good debate, and I would encourage anyone to share an alternative viewpoint. My view is that animal husbandry, while somewhat malign, is still less ecologically damaging than a world where all arable land is taken up by a monoculture of crops which possess very little genetic diversity, as I think that this destroys what few ecological niches are left by which most of the worlds biodiversity survives, especially insect life. In this way I would argue that meat eating would encourage the continued existence of much of these niches on farmland and ranches. Also, many parts of the world simply lack the soil or water supply necessary to support industrial farming, but are able to support animal husbandry on said land. For these reasons, I think that giving up meat on a societal scale would be silly, especially since it is so delicious and nutrient dense (all the amino acids you need to survive are in one delicious package).
@@julianshepherd2038 Also, I don't know why you would think I am a dangerous extremist. I do not think my views are very extreme, considering the fact that literally 95 percent of United States citizens, where I am from, are passionate meat lovers like I am. I also do not think you have any reason to think I am unusually dangerous. I mean if someone came to their home and forbid them from partaking in something they genuinely love, i.e. meat, while forcing through a policy which might hurt the planet, I think that most people wouldn't take that lying down and would work to protect their freedoms and the planet. Anyway, I digress. I wish you the best. Take care.
Soon some new legislation's will require activists to have identity information along with photo ID which can be clearly seen at all times. Any persons found in the range of 500 meters around the perimeter of a company's property and does not have there id on show or rejects to give their identity can be arrested under the new domestic terrorism law which comes with some serious fines and other prosecutions. Some new changes to the human rights act will also have an affect on those who try to stop persons from entering their place of work in a safe and comfortable manner. The department of Work and Pensions will be carrying out survey/checks on any reported instances by companies or other and will include survey/checks on some known locations that seem to have or deal with more frequent rallies/activity. It is starting to look like Animal Activists are soon going to come up against one of the fastest growing movements in the UK which is based on the individuals right to eat meat but still includes individuals right not to eat meat. When asked why we haven't seen or heard about this movement the simple reply was "if your not in the know" . Seems we will have a very interesting decade ahead and lets hope it is a peaceful one at least.
I have tried a lot of these "plant based" foods and they are just absolutely awful. Lacking taste and texture. Make it taste better, and cheap, then they might have more support.
Hopefully McDonald's will come out with something called the
Activist burger.
Ingredients: activist meat, circus animals, some filler and MSG
The amount of ignorance, short-sightedness and complete incapability of these people is astonishing
I’ve got some sheep that would smoke them in an IQ test
Good on them!
