Honestly, I've always thought that Team Magma should get their own theme and that this fits Team Aqua better. Maybe just because I've never played Ruby or Omega Ruby. Also, Team Magma has really cute outfits and I want my own.

Honestly emerald was still better and incorporated both evil teams into the main story, that alone makes emerald better, but if you want to go a step further, the battle frontier was major addition. Ruby and sapphire was pretty mid while emerald is still considered by most to be the best way to experience hoenn while Oras is merely an alternative decent and unique way to experience hoenn but definitely way better then experiencing the original ruby and sapphire. DP were trash, platinum was top tier. Bdsp is trash aswell and some could even argue it’s worse then the original DP for how easier the remake is compared to the original.

However, I much prefer Team Magma's logic and leader. If I had to pick a team to join, it'd most likely be Magma. If I had to pick an ally team, it'd be Magma. If I had to pick between Ruby and Sapphire, however, I'd go with Sapphire since there's a difference between allying/joining them and playing against them in a game.
