i could never imagine pulling multiple all nighters a week, going to class a few hours later, working straight after & having a youtube channel!! girl you are truly amazing and youre doing amazing if no one has ever said so
thank you so much for the kind words! it really means a lot 🥺🥺
architecture students are just use to it. watching the sun go down and then rising up, and we still sitting on the same chair working recklessly. but we do have a breaking point. once i constantly worked for 36 hours with 20 min breaks for meals and on the 2nd day i was about to faint and that was the time I had to take rest.
pov: you a high school graduate about to do architecture in uni
good luck!!
Same here

Studying architecture abroad is much more interesting than here in PH. I feel so stagnant, I want to be able to create big ideas into works, but the moment we try to do a seemingly different concept than what we're taught, profs are going mad.
i think it varies by professor! i know of some
who are very specific about what they like and restrict their students to only one style, but thankfully i've gotten professors who give me the creative freedom to explore and make what i want 😊
aww the vibes when you were working on the project late at night and people were playing the music and singing lol, seems like a nice little community
also, you are so strong for working hard and doing all the all-nighters! thank you for these vlogss :)
haha yeah it makes getting through the long nights a lot more bearable :))
I want to be an architect when i grow up so even if all nighters are required i will work hard!!!Fighting Jennyy
good luck!!
All those late nights and you still manage to do it all in jeans 😭. I’d be showing up in pjs ever single day 💀. Respect to you girl bc I’ve heard so much about Arch school being hard so just know you’re doing amazing!!! 🤍🤍
hahaha this made me laugh 🤣 thank you!
If you like these types of videos, I highly recommend Andrew Kim. He is also going to architecture uni and shows how his weeks go. Although it is a newer development and he only has five videos out they're really good 👍 and very similar
Bro I literally just finished watching his vids
He also goes Pratt I’m pretty sure
As a pratt alumni i love finding ppl vlogging their way through school. Brings back such amazing memories of sleepless nights (granted i wasnt part of the arch major but im sure we were all dying) Hope architecture isnt beating u up too much!! GOOD LUCKKK YOU GOT THISSSS
thank you so much for the encouragement! i'm glad my videos were able to bring back some memories for you 😊

you know college is hard when 1 hour of sleep is considered a "fat nap"
hahahaha 😂 sleeping is a luxury fr
would you recommend the architecture program to someone who loves painting/fine arts but wants to make a higher wage than fine arts usually has? i'm pretty weak in math so i don't know if i could do it but I just want a job i might enjoy that won't require a second job to support lol
architecture is way too much of a commitment if you just want a job with better pay 😭 you have to genuinely be interested in it or you won't last through the five years of all nighters, bad eating habits, and constant stress and criticism. it's always worth it to try it out, maybe by taking a summer class/program or a similar class in your current school if they offer one, but don't commit yourself if you're there just for the money because odds are that you'll drop out within your first year 😕
I'm so so happy I found this video. I'm in my 4th design class and this is my first semester being able to take it in person. I still do 99% of my work at home but I never got an actual studio experience like this one. Seeing you and all your classmates up for hours, sleeping a few minutes or a few hours then right back at it again...I'm happy to see that I'm not alone. This video gives me so much motivation. It's currently 3:36 am and this was just the motivation I needed. I'm at a point where all the sleepless nights have caught up with me since starting college and I feel like I can't go any longer. This video just...made me feel better.
this comment absolutely made my day! i'm so happy that this video was able to give you some sense of comfort and i hope you stay strong! architecture is definitely a difficult major but we're here because we love it and we want to change the world in our own little ways
Hey! I have a question, I’m in high school and I’ve always loved drawing , painting, art, buildings, houses, interior design, and being able to design anything. But is architecture mostly math and structure of buildings? Or does it include a lot of art too like being able to design whatever you want
yeah its everything you said
i'd say architecture is a mix of the two! the base of architecture is design and creativity, but you need a good understanding of math, physics, etc. to make your design realistically feasible
you're amazing! can't imagine all those hard all-nighters T^T but you made it seem like you're enjoying your life and what you're doing (which I think you actually do) ♡
thank you so much! it's definitely hard but i do enjoy what i'm doing so it makes it all worth it!
Sister can you made a video on these topic (for me)and also for other
1 best universities in world for architecture
2how to get into University (a basic knowledge like exam and process)
3 things to know before join architecture school
4 things you need for first week of college (stuff like project kit and etc)
And i also wanna ask in which university you study
After graduating high school, I'm planning on taking the course of architecture! I'm excited for all the stress that the school would give me, though entering college life means you could start your school life again. I'm excited to learn something new and meet new friends! :)
good luck! 🍀
During the first years I remember pulling all nighters it was stressful af, architecture can waste your mental health so be strong
thank you!
I’m in 10th grade and gonna major in architecture inshallah!!!
twins
good luck to you both!

Hii jenny! I hope you're doing good. If you don't mind me, I'm in high school and so lost rn. Wants to do architect as an international student. Don't have anyone to guide me, what to do or not. About move in and other things because you know it's not that easy for a international student and how to apply and if you also have to submit a portfolio or not and there aren't that much videos on you tube regarding all these things. I am so sorry I am blabbering now. To be honest at this point I feel like crying. I just wants to know how you applied, what are the other criteria, about schoolships, financial aid, tuition fees.
hi! thank you so much for reaching out! i know it must be super difficult venturing into this new part of your life and feeling like you don't know where to start. unfortunately, i'm not an international student so i'm not sure how much guidance i can offer you in those areas, but in my case, i had to submit a portfolio to almost all of the arch programs i applied to. i did this through the common app or squarespace (schools specify which they use and some have their own portals too). other criteria included a personal essay and other writing supplements that generally ask for reasons why you're interested in that school and what you hope to gain from their programs and resources. i applied for financial aid by filling out the fafsa and i was able to get scholarships through that as well. tuition fees will vary depending on the school, the program, and your financial situation. hope this helped a little and feel free to reach out to me on instagram if you have more questions or just want to talk! good luck! 🍀
Hi everyone. I'm also an architecture student in Türkiye. I just want to have a friend who is a architecture student. Cause I'm wondering how is architecture in other countries. And also improve my English with that. İf you want too write me your name and country. Moreover we can share our project and also we can tell each other. Not just project, our countries too. Im waiting for your answer 😊
the full lenght 30mins vlogs of a week or longer is soo soothing like one video and now i kinda feel like i know your day or like i am there w you irl its soo good. also the aesthetic and editing is really good. im a forever follower now lol
i'm glad you enjoyed! thanks for watching 💕
I just realized you and Andrew Kim are in the same uni
he was my ta first semester!
You r so good in time managing How do u do that? I’m amazed bring Archi student.😶😵😵😵 . Travelling, editing video, vlog, etc . Do u even get Time for 😴?
i don't really 😭 during first semester, i pulled 3 or 4 all-nighters a week, it was really bad 😭😭
I'm finishing my first year in college and trying to run a vlog at the same time(my other YT acc lol) and just found you're vlog and omg its such a breath of fresh air to see you're journey and the all nighters, and to hear about you're struggles with creativity sometimes, makes me feel a lot better knowing I'm not the only one. and you're classmates seem so fun and nice lol i would LOVE to have an open studio to work in like that. motivation for me to put my best foot forward and maybe apply(and hopefully be accepted) to a school like pratt when I'm done here! Lots of love and WE GOT THIS
this made my day 🥺🥺 thank you for the love and i wish u the best of luck in ur journey! ❤️🍀
Is architecture that time consuming, like are you able to do other hobbies like exercising, painting, etc.?
architecture is time consuming but it's not impossible if you have good time management and priorities. i am able to have a job, be in a dance club, and do youtube while doing architecture so you can do it if you really set your mind to it!
Your vidoe sound is low sometimes we hear a little thing .... keep up.
I hope you post more videos like this!!!♡ because I will try to get into architecture in my city this year, and your vlog gives me support to always try even though I feel I'm not very good at drawing \(^-^)/
thank you for your support! i'll def try to upload more arch vlogs in the near future 💕
PRATT GREAT SCHOOL!!! Myself gone to FIT Nice video!!
wow i am planning on taking architecture ahead and after this I'm so sure of it great vlog
you're definitely in for a ride! thanks for watching!

guys you have so luck

Where is the camera he is handsome😅
Currently watching this instead of studying for my finals lol But I feel your pain! I'm a 2nd year Architecture Student ta UofA and it is BRUTAL. All nighters are no joke but they are temporary! Wish you luck on your projects and finals!
thank you so much and i hope ur finals went well too!
so i took a career test in middle school, and it suggested architecture. howeverrrr… i still don’t know if it’s right for me. :’(( seeing this video made me feel better though!! i’m definitely considering it. i want to do something to challenge my creativity and keep me active in school, and hopefully, i could continue on my journey with it. :) i need to remind myself that i’m just a freshman in high school. i still have time. career paths are not easy for me :’)
freshman year of high school is way early to know what you want to do for the rest of your life! i didn't even start considering architecture until my junior year, so don't rush and take your time! i'm sure whatever decision you make will be the right one 😊
@@jennyyy816 awe thank you!! this means a lot :’) loved this vlog of yours btw!
Hi jenny! I am a student from the Philippines! and I am planning to study in your school since your videos inspire me, how much is the tuition in your school and can you do a school tour? much appreciated
average tuition is around $60k for a year but it changes depending on your scholarships, loans, and financial needs!
Im 12 and i wanna do architecture Lol i Just Started High School LOL
I wanna be an Architect bcuz of The Roblox Game Roville
Im in form 1 i leave school in form 5 4 YEARS LEFT TO GO💃
good luck! 💪🍀
@@jennyyy816 ^^ currently playing the same architect right now making my house
i cant wait to become an architecture but just a question if you are not good at drawing is that okay?
that's okay! drawing in architecture is more ab clarity and representation than traditional drawing is
I know how you feel lol eating shit and getting models done all the way until 5 am or to the next morning lmaoo
real 🥹
hi! what branch of arthitecture are you studying??
just architecture in general but i'll most likely branch off into interior design later on :)
What was the point of the first assignment in the video with all the lines? can somebody help?
it was an exploration of how i could use the language from my stereotomic form and translate that over onto a larger surface! that drawing acted as the starting point of creating a "ground" for my form
@@jennyyy816 Thank you for answering
on october 3rd he asked me what day it was. its october 3rd
Can you share the details about the college
I have a question were you bad at drawing in the first place but then when you learn to draw once you get into architecture school you improve.... (Sry bad english)
architecture school doesn't involve much drawing actually, at least not in the stereotypical fine arts sense. drawing in architecture is mostly ab sketching and representation, so you don't need to be good at traditional drawing to do well!
I wanna study architecture so bad
go for it!
im in 7th and i dream ti be an architect!
More power to you!
Great Work
thank you!
Reaalll what is sleeepp😭😭😭
FR i can fully function on a 10-minute nap now like what the heck 😭
The sound is so bad, i can`t hear anything from what you said. Can you please buy some microphone or at least talk louder? It`s so interesting to watch a daily life of an arch student and i totally appreciate all the effort you put into this video, but the sound is just the pain.
i'm in a shared space with a lot of other people around me who are trying to work so i can't talk super loudly, and i'm also just shy about vlogging in public in front of people who i'm not super comfortable with 😭 i do always try to add captions whenever it's extremely hard to hear but i'll take this into consideration for future videos. thank you for watching!
como quisiera regresar a primer año, ahorita no puedo con los exámenes de estructuras :(
it's hard but you'll get through it! good luck!
is there a lot of math involved when drawing or building models??
not a lot, i'd say the most math you have to do would be in terms of scaling and placing ramps if you have them
Hella draining
pov: you are my sibling
this is my first time i like it
More arki vlogs!!!
can you tell me that what is the best uni for study architecture
there's no definitive answer to this question! every school has pros and cons so it really depends on the person. just take your time to do the research into each program offered and make your own conclusions based on what you're looking for and what you think is best for you. good luck!
Hey, is it worth studying design and architecture
yes but only if you are truly passionate about it!
Which school u are studying at?
pratt institute!
hi sister! :) 😊😊😊
Hi jennyyyy, I hope that you are doing well. I kinda wanted to be a doctor but because I cant have a scientific bachelor and because I am good at drawing I want to be an architect.
And I wonder if I can be an architect with a literary bachelor ?
i'm not totally sure but i'm pretty sure being an architect requires at least a bachelor's degree in architecture?
@jennyyy816 Yes, I just did some research about that so thank uuuu
@@Biinta_mb you can do your masters in architecture. It will take three years.
@@taymahasan7932 thank u for the information 💗
