I stitch the same way as you....and I am just as organized with my floss as you are....I don't park my threads and I mark off where I'm at and only work one page at a time....... I thought I was breaking the rules of cross stitch, but glad to see I am on the right track! Thanks for sharing....I love your vids!
I always like to see how others work on full coverage. We work similar except I grid, can't count to save my life so this helps me a lot and I use the pin stitch a lot now. I also bought the attachment for the Lowery stand except I have to sew an extra piece on the top of my piece to reach the top area to stitch, so still using my hoop. tks for an informative video !
I love to watch you, Gerald! I rarely comment but just wanted to take the time to say thank you for taking the time to film! You are much appreciated 😊
Thank you for showing your large coverage process! I am stitching a couple of HAED designs and my set up is similar except I do not use Good Reader. I highlight my completed stitches the old fashion way, on paper with a highlighter. I think I will take a look at Good Reader. I am in the process of changing the way I stitch from parking threads to a cross country stitch. My concern with cross country stitching is that sometimes I lose my way! Stitching a smaller portion of a page makes a lot more sense. Also I am looking forward to your demonstration of the Lowery stand accessory because I have one too and I have difficulty with that. This was a perfect video for me! Thanks for sharing!
This was very informative. My eyes and my hands won't let me do this sort of thing and, to be honest, my patience levels, but I enjoyed learning more of the terminology. The design is fascinating and your organisation top-notch. Thanks.
Thanks! That was helpful. I just bought two HAED patterns during their recent sale, but I haven't kitted them up yet. I'll keep your technique in mind.
I'm happy to see more men getting into this. My Mother-in-law has 6 sons. All diagnosed with bi-polar. She taught them all to do cross stitching for therapy. Thank you for a great video. Where do you get your large patterns, may I ask.
Thank you for the idea of organizing thread inside a bobbin organizer container. I have always used little plastic sandwich bags. I like your idea way better, and I'm going to switch to that.
Thank you for the video. I have been a little intimidated with parking and I don't like the mess. I just need to get started! Thank you again! I will try cross country.
Thank you for sharing your method! I'm going to try stitching this way on my my Burlesque Zombie Portrait because I just get so overwhelmed with how to stitch her. I think going one section at a time and doing cross country in that area will help.
I LOOOOOOOOOOVE this piece! It is gorgeous, and you're doing a fabulous job. And I love that you have the same "back" philosophy that I do -- who cares! It's going to look great! I can't wait to see it all finished. - T
Hey Gerald! Watched for the first time this morning before work. I just purchased my first 28 count fabric and debating on what I want to stitch on it, or whether to stitch 1 over 1 or 2 over 2. I have always stitched on 14 count aida. Please tell me which method you are using on your Henry? Thank you so much for the video, you are very inspiring. FYI I bobbin my floss the same way. Glad to see that i am not alone!!!
@@gingergerald Thank you so much for answering my question! Wow I am impressed. Your video's are so informative. I appreciate the time you take to make them to share what you are stitching. Keep them coming, great job by the way. And thank you again for taking the time to respond. Happy stitching!!!!
I was wondering about your frame and where you got it-I really like to get one for myself thanks I love your work, I have never done parking never knew anything about it but I see a lot of people doing this. I guess you could say i do cross country stitching. But I'm a perfectionist and my back has to look as good as my front. Thanks keep up the great job.
what is the thing called that's holding your fabric? i have a stand like that but I can't seem to keep it tight so im looking for something else to use for stitching my big HAED
Hi Gerald, I really enjoyed your video on this. I looked this pattern up and it says it's 16 W X 19 H inches on 25ct but you did it on 28 ct. Could you please tell me how much bigger the finished piece will be on a larger count fabric?
Hi! Jw what fabric did you choose on the HAED site for your cross stitch? I see they sell for the size I'm doing either easy count fabric or Aida. First time ordering so thanks for any help! Love your channel! And I am doing a mini design in 18 count if that helps.
Hi Gerald, I have a bugging question, sorry... but the chart that ABC design therapy site has a 14 ct AIDA and I want to follow how you have done it ie 28 ct on Laguna 1 over 1 stitch so, do you redesign the stitches to suit the 28 ct fabric? Thank you
Bit late here but it is known as haed ( heaven and earth designs) they produce patterns sorted by artist. They are generally really big e.g my current piece is 305 by 325 stitches and is classified as a mini. heavenandearthdesigns.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=160&zenid=7fa42e5f84927383a9f11b2c4b5a2da1
Hi. Thank you for this helpful video. I noticed on your bobbins you have a picture of the color or a symbol not sure which. How do you get those labeled?
I know you make the x's the same way with one cross always on top but do you make them the same way? Do you always start with the top left corner or the bottom left corner? I have noticed that it appears differently if you vary it.
I am not rigid about how I start and finish each leg. It all depends on how I approach each stitch. On the grand scheme of a large full coverage piece I do not see a difference in how the x’s are stitched
I also kit my thread like you do. I'm wondering though about Good Reader. Are you able to "save" the pattern with the highlight? I'm just wondering if at any time the highlight gets erased by accident OR if you accidently highlight something wrong can you erase it? Just wondering since I would love to use this but I'm clumsy sometimes with my marking of the patterns and I can see myself getting lost. Thanks for all of the videos. I love watching them.
my girl is watching this as i type on pc , you my friend do EXACTALY as she do BUT she do it free hand with the exeption of other things , she works by block by block , and heaven and earth shes very impressed by you but says a lot of thread wasted
Great tips. Definitely learned some things here. Thanks. Beautiful piece you’ve been working on.
I highlight after I stitch, too. It causes less confusion. Your piece is looking so good.
You just made me feel better about how far i carry my threads on my own full coverage pieces.
Thank you for sharing your techniques! This totally makes sense. Thanks again! 🌈

So helpful! I'm fairly new to full coverage stitching and I am always looking for ways to make it easier to keep on track and organized.
I always like to see how others work on full coverage. We work similar except I grid, can't count to save my life so this helps me a lot and I use the pin stitch a lot now. That HAED you are working on is incredible!!! You definitely have a great talent for full coverage pieces! Love your videos!

Thank you! I really appreciate your positive comment!

That is a very clear explanation. Thank you for showing. Have a nice stitching time

Fantastic.....Also I work cross-stitching and embroidery .... I find it so relaxing and then a lot of satisfaction .. Good job !!
Thank you for the video. I have been a little intimidated with parking and I don't like the mess. I just need to get started! Thank you again! I will try cross country.
Thank you for sharing your process! Found it very helpful. Was wondering if you stitched 1 over 1 on the 28 count. Trying to figure fabric on a haed.
Thanks for the full coverage tips. I am more motivated to start the small full coverage piece I have.
Love your project .I learned so much about organization. Good video!

Thank you for the video. Very informative. Wondering what is the parking and cross stitching entail. Recommendations and /or suggestions ?
Honestly I am horrible at parking. Check out blitstitch. I know he did a tutorial on how he does his.
I am just learning this was really helpful!
I really like how you stitch your HAED without parking. Most vids on HAED suggest parking. I like not wasting gloss too
Beautiful work. You must have very good eyesight! You don't even grid your canvas, wow. Did not know about Good Reader, will check it out. Thank you.
That looks amazing
Thanks for sharing! This was very helpful.
I am glad it helps! Let me know if you have any further questions!
Wonderful job¡¡¡ Congratulations¡¡

Loved the video.
That's incredible work. How do you get your back that great. How do you tie your floss

Hi Gerald, I really enjoyed your video on this. I looked this pattern up and it says it's 16 W X 19 H inches on 25ct but you did it on 28 ct. Could you please tell me how much bigger the finished piece will be on a larger count fabric?
It will actually be smaller because I am stitching more stitches per inch. Instead of 16x19 the stitched size will be 15x18. So not much different.
Thank you for the speedy reply!! I couldn't remember if it would be smaller or larger.
Can you show how you start a full coverage without a grid so I can see that? I'm making a project for my mom and am curious if I'm different lol
Really cool. How big is that and long does it take you to finish a project that size?
Hi! Jw what fabric did you choose on the HAED site for your cross stitch? I see they sell for the size I'm doing either easy count fabric or Aida. First time ordering so thanks for any help! Love your channel! And I am doing a mini design in 18 count if that helps.
I did not order fabric from the HAED website. I am stitching my HAED on 28 count white Lugana
We're did you purchase your floss bobbins and container?

What is the company which manufacture your frame? Thank you.
Can you please tell me what kind of frame you are using. ?
Hallo Gerald, thank you verry mutch for this great video 👍. Can you please tell me what is a HEAD?

What's the maximum you will carry a thread? I'm self taught, but for some reason get anxious carrying too far.
This was really helpful! Thank you!
You are welcome! Have you started stitching yet?
Hi. Thank you for this helpful video. I noticed on your bobbins you have a picture of the color or a symbol not sure which. How do you get those labeled?
The only thing I have on the bobbins are the DMC number stickers you can buy at any box store or on amazon.
How do you start and finish your threads
Hello I be starting King Henry in Jan 2022 is there any tips u can give me please...
I know you make the x's the same way with one cross always on top but do you make them the same way? Do you always start with the top left corner or the bottom left corner? I have noticed that it appears differently if you vary it.

Lol. I thought I was the only ons who numberd the floss that way. Almost everyone does it the other way around
Great video Gerald! Love watching yours. Question...I notice that you do a page at a time ...Do you have a problem with page lines showing? TIA
I have not had any issues with page lines so far.
all the best !!!!
When stitching hands do you do over 1 on 25 Ct or do you go to a higher Ct even if it calls for 25ct?
I stitch on 28 count Lugana
Thanks again.....🤠
I just see it is a video from a while a go. Did you finish it?
What kind of frame is that?
Thanks
I trim my symbol pages down and put them all on 1 page
OMG... this is a brilliant idea. I never thought of that. Thanks so much!
Do you ever graph your fabric?
No I don’t, i am too lazy and impatient to grid the fabric
Hi, could you please tell me what the frames name your working on. Look very interesting. Thanks
The www.omanik.com doesn't work
I also kit my thread like you do. I'm wondering though about Good Reader. Are you able to "save" the pattern with the highlight? I cross stitch the same way

8:53 I think your pattern is pregnant (at least the highlighted part).
