I had to stop in the middle of this video to see if I could find a TINY HAED … like ornament size tiny (I mentioned on your IG last night that you’ve inspired me to go for it with trying a full coverage, lol) … and I found a beautiful Santa ornament … only 7x7 … BUT 100 colors! 🤯😬 That’s a lot of floss $$$ lol! Also, there’s still no pattern keeper app for iOS and I just don’ think GoodNotes will cut it for a HAED (any thoughts on that?). Love watching you guys, you’re precious 🥰
I'm hoping to film one over the weekend! Our tattoo tour will be in next weeks video (though admittedly they're mostly just fun little pieces, nothing too exciting haha), and for sure next time I kit up a pattern I'll film it!! 🥰
Hi from Florida! Love your stitching. I avoided any purchases this time in the HAED sale but I have succumbed many times in the past. I asked my British husband for a UK equivalent to the Super Bowl, and the closest he could find was the FA cup 25 years ago. Maybe the Champions League but even then it’s not the same. (I tried to push the World Cup as a comparison but he said no because the Super Bowl isn’t played on a global scale). Happy stitching! -Debbie
Hi! Thank you so much! It's our first HAED patterns, so we jumped at the sale! Wow, I wasn't alive for that FA Cup, so no wonder I don't think any of our sporting events compare to the Super Bowl! That's so interesting though, thank you for letting me know! Happy stitching and thank you for the comment!
Hi, from Brisbane, Australia. Hope you both feel better soon. We watched superbowl over here, half time show was amazing. Anyways keep your videos coming, love love love watching you 2, your both so down to earth, and i love seeing your stitching progress. Awesome work. Take care, see you in your next video. Xx
Hi!! Thank you, we're feeling a lot better now. We loved the half time show too :) Thank you so much for such a lovely comment! Take care and happy stitching 🥰 xx
I like that mini heroes and villains ... I wanted to start a heavens and earth design pattern but I don't want to do a very large one. Super bowl Sunday is like a holiday lol it's a really big thing here.
I think Heroes and Villains is an awesome piece, it reminds me a lot of Ry so I'm glad he's going to stitch it :) Why not have a look at the storykeep designs? They seem to be the smallest ones I could find, and they're still gorgeous! I really wish we had something like the Super Bowl over here, I guess we'll just have to visit America for the Super Bowl one year haha
I skipped the HAED sale this time. You can use the search to look for themes on HAED, like Cowboys, etc.. I was working so I didn't get to watch the game. I would love to see you go to the shop.
I was SO tempted to get a HAED pattern during the sale, but I already have so many patterns to stitch. The Superbowl really is a big thing here but I'm totally the exception - I catch up on the commercials & half time show the next day on youtube. :D
Ooh what HAED pattern were you thinking of? Honestly I probably shouldn't have bought any, but I have 0 self control when it comes to pretty patterns in the sale haha. I really didn't have much clue about what was happening in the actual Super Bowl game, but I thought the half time show was amazing!
Lol, you guys are so cute together! I myself got caught up in the sale, and am now on a no-buy (at least fpr HAEDS). As it is, I think I'm set for the next 20 yrs with all the wips and kits I've collected! I also love the geckorouge designs, and am saving up for a kit to start this summer. As for the superbowl, it's big, but it's more of a thing for when your team (teams are attached to certain cities & states) makes it to the finals. I didn't watch personally, but if you can, definitely UA-cam the half time and commercials. Those are a hoot and are typically there to interest non footballer fanatics lol. Oh! As for HAED search. You do kinda have to go through every artist and look. Typically they're cover image is something that they did that might interest you. After that, just checking the what's new tab works the best. And look up they're fb page, that's where they make announcements when they have a sale
Thank you!! Honestly I need to be on a no-buy, but it's just too tempting 😫 Which gecko rouge kit are you thinking of buying? I enjoyed the superbowl, but I really didn't know any kind of rules so was a bit lost haha. I'll have to look up their page, thank you for letting me know!
@@CrossStitchingSmiles your welcome! And I love a few of geckorouge, but in particular I've been drooling over Rose Guardian by Sheblackdragon. The greens and reds on and around the dragon are to die for!
Sorry you missed the final quarter of the Super Bowl it was an exciting ending! 🎊🎉 I live in LA so of course a Rams fane. LA is so happy to have a team again. Super Bowl is a really big deal look at all the celebrities that attend and love to preform for half time. Love watching you both it reminds me of me and my husband. I’m starting my first HAED on June 1st, valentine nook because I’m a heart freak ❤️♥️💕💙💗😍🥰👩❤️👨🧡🖤💜💚💛🤍💖❤️🔥💝 just picked every heart I could find.
Fingers crossed I can do some more learning this year, and next year when we watch the Super Bowl, I'll enjoy it even more ☺️ I've just looked at Valentine Nook - it's so cute!! I've not seen it before, but I love it!! Have a great time stitching it in June!🥰
I happen to just stumble on the HAED sale as well! I sat down one day and went through every single artist - it took a while but now I know who I like. I have like 75 in my favorites ha ha ha. I got mini Cletus by Richard Lorenz because of Michelle Bendy Stitchy, mini Ugly Birds by Ciro Marchetti, QS Twilight by James C. Christensen (I want all his stuff) because I want it for me and my hubby, and I got Walking Lessons by Jacek Yerka because it is RAD!(I want all of his stuff too!) I didn't get any but I also really like Jane Wooster Scott.
I didn't watch this superbowl. I'm from Kansas City, naturally making me a Chiefs fan (out local team) and the playoff loss to the Bengals was such a shocker i couldn't watch it. Our whole city is still in shock lol. I watched Ghostbusters instead lol I missed the hard sale by one day, not that I need another full coverage. I'll dig through the site and my favorites to my wishlist so when a sale comes around in ready to go! I can't wait to see how you figure in more time for the new ones! But you seem to be such a fast stitches how do you do it? Between knitting and video games i never seem to have enough time Tattoo tour!!! Also, hope you're feeling better
To be honest I'm starting to struggle to keep everything rotating evenly, but hopefully I work out a proper system soon. I think pattern keeper is part of the reason I can get more stitching done in less time, it makes it so easy! Admittedly though, I tend to cycle through hobbies, so sometimes I'll stitch for an hour and spend three knitting or drawing, but recently I've been really focussed on stitching, which means more progress haha. Definitely going to do a tattoo tour as part of the next video!! We're all feeling loads better now, thank you 🥰
@@CrossStitchingSmiles I totally get it about cycling through hobbies! I guess it also depends on the season too. Summer and winter I tend to get more crafty and video gaming in. During the spring and fall I'm out and about roller skating or on a trail pattern keeper definitely helps me out a lot! I don't think id be able to really do the big ones if I had to do it all on paper glad youre feeling better!
I preferred the tiger heads to win the Super Bowl. My team would be the Tennessee Titans. The Super Bowl is like the huge soccer matches the rest of the world watch. I love the pattern with the otter/badger!
Yes, please, we want to see the tats and your kitting up process. Incredible haul on HEAD patterns… it’s a good thing you’re both young 🥰😂🤗… for myself, I « screen » shop only as I don’t have the time required to complete HAEDs. I’m in my 70s, and as it is have 2 HAEDs in my WIPs and I’m optimistically thinking that if I live to 1OO I’ll get through my HAEDs, 150 should allow me to complete my 17 other WIPs and 16 kitted up (discounting all other projects that I’m liable to acquire) 😝 😅😂🤣 Yes, super bowl 🏈 is big even in Canada, my son watched it all, hubby and I watched the highlights, and I really enjoyed the half time show 🤩 🎤🎸🎼 As usual, this was a brilliant episode, looking forward to your stitching 🪡🧵progress, and Jess, my finger is poised to buy your patterns👉📲, way to go girl. Cheers to you both from Eastern 🍁 Canada 🇨🇦
We'll do a little tattoo tour in our next video :) Even though we're young I'm already panicking that I won't finish the patterns I have, but I can't seem to stop buying!! 😂 I'm hoping as we bought minis / story keeps, they won't take as long to finish. I'd love to know what HAED's you have! It sounds like you have quite the stash, but I have confidence you'll be able to finish them all! Wow I had no idea it was big in Canada too! We really enjoyed the half time show too, I will admit I had no idea on the rules of the actual game so I was very confused for most of it haha. Thank you so much! I've only practiced a little with pattern designs so far but I'm so eager to do more! As always, thank you for the comment - I LOVE reading them each week, it's always a delight to see your name pop up 🥰
Awww, thank you Jess and Ry. Actually, my first big full coverage was gifted for my birthday last year from my husband. It came as a kit, but once I opened it, I have a strong feeling that it’s a knock off, unbeknown to him, despite the costly investment that he put in. When I can, I’ll purchase the original pattern from HAED. It was purchased named the Library, but I misplaced my notes as to author… I’ll PM you when I find it. My 2nd HAED is Autumn Church Frame by Dominic Davison. I purchased Pattern from HAED, Lugana easy count grid, 25 count, white/grey. It requires 150 skeins of DMC, so I’m taking from stash, and balance bought a bunch at a time until May. It’s a Mother’s Day gift from my husband. The rest of my projects is a sprinkling of samplers spanning from Long Dog Samplers UK, Modern Folk Embroidery BE, Black Bird Design US, Historische Stickmuster DE. I’ve also several older WIPs smaller full coverage, etc….. lots of fun stitching 🥰 Thank you for your interest and enthusiasm in all you do.
I think if it's unknowingly a knock off, then it's no harm done, as long as you enjoy stitching and don't return there to shop. It's such a shame if it is a knock off, but what a lovely gesture from your husband! Just looked up Autumn Church Frame, I absolutely LOVE it! Such a calming piece! I'm doing the same with my patterns, I have one spare piece of fabric, which I'll use for a HAED pattern, and I'll just try and buy about 20 colours at a time to work on them, so that it's not a huge expense all at once. I've not heard of some of those designers, I'll have to look into them! 🥰
That's such a meaningful tattoo, how lovely! Not sure if you've seen it but I did do a tattoo tour video with my fiancé so you can see all of our tattoos there!
Your hedgehog tattoo is EPIC! We definitely need a tattoo tour ❤Superbowl Sunday is HUGE here...it's practically a national holiday. I love all of your projects! I've never done a HAED, but when I do I want to do A Place of Her Own. Have a great day you two.
