928 S2 and the original really stood out by design, no ugly big rear spoiler. Especially the beautiful rims on the original one are truly beautiful. For the interior you really need one from the S4 or later.
@@SportsandGT Sorry old chap, but you're wrong. I have owned 2 928s (1990 S4 & 1993 GTS) and 2 911s (1992 964 & 1996 993) and if you look back at the list prices back in the 1990s the 928s were considerably more expensive than the 911s. Cheers from a damp and rather miserable Otford, Kent, UK.
Yeah I can understand that. Most cars look better in their original styling. I’ve got an Esprit S3 which aside from a few tweaks is the same basic design as the S1.
@@SportsandGTfantastic car the Esprit S3! I got a Stevens Esprit Turbo SE. Not as pure as the S3 but the Porsche 964 of Lotus Esprit. Also lycky to own a 1979 manual 928. Did own a 89 GT but definetely like the early car more. Greetings from Sweden 🇸🇪
The 928 was the first Porsche I was aware of as a child and it’s the only one I’ve really fancied owning. But which one?

Yes the teledials are the wheels to have. I wonder if anyone has transplanted a later interior into a pre-facelift car?
Great Video ! .
Thank you
The 911 is the poormans 928
Haha - I’m sure many would be upset by that. But to be fair I’ve never hankered after a 911 but would love a 928.

Great video Stewart! love that beast at the end :)
Thanks. Yes, that was a great kick-down roar at the end.
I love the 928S bcs of its cute rear light design,
Yes the recessed lights and round rump of the earlier cars gave a great look.
Great video thanks, I’m biased but for me it’s the last of the S2’s which had a lot of the S4 upgrades but original body style.

The S from 1985 onwards, with the 4-speed automatic; or a S4 from 1988 onwards. When the GTS came out it was already a bit old.
Good choices.
928S4 5-speed!!!
