The view is based on one of my favourite locations in my trainspotting days, the viaduct leaving Leeds City Station heading east towards York. The viaduct doesn't run straight but wends its way through the cramped Victorian houses and workshops that were there when it was built. Due to the space limitations of my model every thing is more cramped and exaggerated than it was in real life but it is an attempt to create the the same impression, i,e, that of the trains making their way clear of the town. Regards, Richard
@@byfordmodelrailway786 I guessed the reason for it was something like that. The prototype arrangement probably several miles long. Unfortunately, compressing it to such an extent is never going to work. With one less pair of reverse curves, the effect might have worked reasonably well.
Wonderful video! Super realistic layout and fantastic locomotives. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Richard
Enjoyable video. Great sound track.
Thanks for that, I'm glad you enjoyed it, Richard
Duchess, noooooo!
That long view down the station throat has to be the worst main-line track alignment I have ever seen. Surely, whoever drew it was joking (or drunk).
