HOW I RESTORED MY PATENT LEATHER CHANEL HANDBAG | Repairing and Cleaning a Designer Handbag

Hi Loves! I'm sharing the process of restoring and cleaning my patent leather Chanel bag. The methods I used are for a bag that is really damaged and not recommended for regular maintenance and cleaning of a good condition patent leather bag. Generally you should use more gentle products for regular cleaning and maintenance.

When I tried removing a sticky film feel from patent boots using water & soap, it did not help and left some blotchy water stains behind. Glad to find this video.
I can't even sell the boots because of the sticky gooey film. I will never buy fancy patent leather again, which requires too much time & cost to care for.

Hi I used petroleum jelly on mine did a fantastic job. I tried every method and nothing worked. Then I tried the petroleum jelly and it looks brand new again.

It’s true that can be a great conditioner for patent when applied carefully. However, it won’t revive a bag when you get a film to the leather. I tried this on a pink bag and it didn’t remove the film on it 🤷🏼‍♀️

@@MorganBrittButler aww that stinks. I Know I tried every method from windex to wood polish. Even car leather wipes. Did nothing. Then I tried this made it look Shiney again and kinda of hide some of the scratches. I would go to a purse professional but alot of them tell me there is nothing they can do for patent leather.

brilliant! I've got this like 15 year old red patent DB that I refuse to part with because it's always my marry poppies bag too! lol seriously. & appreciate the point made regarding not meant for our higher end or daily detailing, but only more so for the few classic pieces which like fine art are our own personal narrative collections worth collecting & maintaining forever.
