We were there (as part of associated classic British Cars display) and it was truly a magnificent and moving experience. The sound as the aircraft roared past was immense, as was recognising how important planes like this one were to the defence of Britain and the Allies. Absolutely my thanks and congratulations to everyone involved in this stunning effort. Well done.

Absolutely incredible! What an unbelievable project. Definitely on my list to check this one out in person after it gets over to the states. The Mosquito has always been my favorite airplane.

What a fantastic plane. Amazing job.
The Mosquito was the best light bomber during the war by a mile - it was virtually uncatchable it was so quick.
It was also incredibly versatile as a bomber, night fighter, recon, etc and was the scourge of the Nazis. It is reported that Goering was desperate for a similar German plane but they could not perfect the technology with timber (ironic!) to make it work effectively or safely:
"In 1940 I could at least fly as far as Glasgow in most of my aircraft, but not now! It makes me furious when I see the Mosquito. I turn green and yellow with envy. The British, who can afford aluminium better than we can, knock together a beautiful wooden aircraft that every piano factory over there is building, and they give it a speed which they have now increased yet again. What do you make of that? There is nothing the British do not have. They have the geniuses and we have the nincompoops. After the war is over I'm going to buy a British radio set - then at least I'll own something that has always worked."
    - Hermann Göring, 1943.
