Because of the Crow-Tit comment I found this on the internet:
"Even though the word crow tit has a fixed meaning, its usage, particularly within Korean culture, has changed and evolved over time. Originally, crow tit referred to a small, puffy bird; however, after being used in a Korean proverb, the term crow tit came to refer to someone who is trying too hard to fit in by becoming something they aren’t. Using this latter meaning, the Korean band BTS released a song where they called themselves baepsae, which is the Korean name for a crow tit. The song delves into some of South Korea’s social issues and explores how different generations view each other."

Also, reacting to your first reactions to the songs you mentioned, and comparing them to how the songs hit you now, would be very interesting.🤔 And give you a glimpse into your own journey - you live inside it, so watching from an outside perspective may feel very different; possibly even uncomfortable. Hey baepsae’s, all hands up
Translated as “crow-tit”on their MV, meaning essentially “Hey underdogs, all hands up”
the "crow-tits" being the generation from which BTS members come, whereas the "storks" are the generation prior. The stork generation is comprised of parents, teachers, employees- people the younger generation is meant to be able to look up to and to learn from.
BTS proofs that there's no need bunch of graphics to make the MV look good. Good location, cheografic, good cameraman that knows his job 😉 👍
Crowtits are part of a family of small birds (includes chickadees). In Korean it is Baepsae. (Check out BTS' Bapsae/Silver Spoon). Baepsae is an underdog. Korean saying: “If a crow-tit tries to follow a stork, it’ll split its legs.” It cannot keep up. Baepsae is also a reference to the younger generation.

Not today is such a great song and the mv is so beautiful and you can see the story they are telling thru it.
The message is basically to never give up no matter how hard something is and to never let your dreams die as if you work hard you will do it, also i love Jimins cotton candy pink hair in this mv aswell as his high note.
Also im every video Jimins style is amazing and he always looks kool in what ever he wears, Jimin is my fashion icon and inspiration
Crew - first in, last out. Between this (cold), Save Me (cold AND drizzly) and On: Kinetic Manifesto ( hot and sunny with no shade) their crews go through a lot to get us this kind of video. Honestly, it says a lot to me about the guys that some of the crew has been around from the beginning, or at least early days. Heck, their usual DP was the astronaut in the spacesuit for Jin’s video because he wanted to.

The live performance that you watched started with the boys sitting on chairs that were on a "table". That's the way Dionysus ends. I don't think you've done that song yet. The choreo is insane for that song, too. They went from one hype, high-energy choreo to another.

You saw Dionysus at one of the awards shows. You were super impressed with all the movable pieces used for dancing, jumping, chairs. Do you remember RM stands up from the back and holds out a staff . I'll have to check with show MMA or MAMA. I think one of them was actually held this week. As for rewatching videos Blood, Sweat and Tears is always great. I can't remember if you caught on right away or said Boy Was I Way Off. The younger members were just coming into their adulthood but had no problem showing us the temptations of sex. It's amazing that all seven of them turned out so well at everything!

Shoutout to the production crew and to Mike's man bun! Not Today is an all-around, inspiring banger.
The dance practice for this really shows the intricacies, also they use Crow Tits in a lot of songs especially Baepsae (Crowtits in Korean) which has a DKDKtv explination that really gets into the word/phrase meaning. Basically the underdogs. I never understand how they start a 2.5 hour live show with a song like this to warm up.
One of my all-time favorites! This was one of my first times hearing and watching BTS... took me for a loop, so awesome. Every day after I would "say Not Today" when ugly siblings harassed me. The dancing on the marble at what I think is a quarry is awesome.

Michael, “crow tits” is a Korean term For someone who works really hard for success as they have very limited money or resources compared to a trust fund baby or “stork”, I would advise you to react to Baepsae as they refer to this in the lyrics for this song plus the dance & beat are a banger, it’s one of my personal favourites

THIS is my BTS anthem man! This is one of the songs that first caught my ear. I started listening to BTS as background music at work but had no idea who they were or even what they looked like. This was just one of the songs that made me stop what I was doing and turn it up a bit lol. And the choreo...if I'd been watching on video tape it would be worn out!

Crow tits are a type of bird, small and very cute. It's used in a couple of BTS songs to symbolize the powerlessness of younger generations.

I've seen people recommending Baepsae in the comments. it's another great one, but it's one of the few songs where I prefer the studio version (the dance practice in this case) over the live. I hope you'll check it out.

Fun fact the intro opening was inspired by one of the speeches in lord of the rings when Man goes off to fight one of the epic battles. How many of them may die or lose, but that day is not today. Parts of the video are also inspired by LOTR but I’m not 100%

With rocky mountain sides and vast barren fields, even BTS members pointed out that it seemed and felt like New Zealand. This “nature”, however, is actually at a quarry - or an open-pit stone mining site - in the county of Danyang, north Chungcheong provice.
Just had to pause to comment: at 7:53 you pausing on Tae's face mid jump or whatever? How does he STILL look so good ?! If you paused on me dancing I'd look insane he looks flawless even with his hair standing straight out 😂 ok back to the show! This is a great song I play it when I feel vulnerable or insecure and it makes me feel like I could do anything 💜 eta I think the stage is supposed to look like ice. I think you're referring to intrusive thoughts. I have them all the damn time 😬 crow tit is a small bird, but here it means a try hard, the underdog kinda. There's a saying in Korean (not a direct quote, idr it exactly) the gist is "a crow tit trying to chase a stork will tear it's legs" it's a generational thing too, storks are boomers, crow tits are the younger generations. You should check out their song baepsae (means crow tit in hangul) no mv but the dance practice is funny. Then watch baepsae explained by a Korean by dkdktv. Once you pointed it out I could see the blocks on the stage, so I think you were right about how it was made. It has to be intentional, it looks just like a frozen platform
Not sure if you'll see this, but (a) love this song and video, so thanks for your reaction :); and (b) there is a video of a BTS performance where the stage starts to fall apart and staff stands underneath to hold it up so that the guys don't fall and I would love to get your thoughts on what went wrong. I did see that. I don’t remember at this point when I saw it, it may have been in a video or possibly during one of my Media Monday streams. I thought it was horrifyingly irresponsible. That show should have been stopped immediately. The safety of the performers as well as the workers who rushed under the stage to help hold it together were put in grave danger. That could have been a catastrophe, but they got really lucky. I don’t care who is performing or how important it is. If the stage is falling apart everyone needs to be evacuated even the other idols sitting in the bleachers on stage

1. Watch 2017 BTS LIVE TRILOGY EPISODE III THE WINGS TOUR TRAILER (it’s 1:53 video). It’s one of their best cinematography.
2. Watch Blood Sweat @ Tears Japanese MV because it’s very different in style. You’ll need to blur the video or not show it and just tell us your reaction to it. Japanese MV are heavily copyrighted
3. Watch a live stage performance of it like MAMA 2016. They have an amazing set for the MNET performance of that song.
Having. Seen this live I would agree the camerawork made you miss the choreo as a whole. But still. The6 opened the show with Dionysus and followed with this. Both intense heavy choreo hype songs and They just kill it💜💜

I know crow-tits sounds strange, but it's a legit name of a bird specie, and in this context, crow-tits itself means a small, average person - not in size, but in many aspects, like money, ability, power... in other words, somebody who has nothing extraordinary about him/herself (Underdogs). (It's from a Korean proverb "If a crow-tit walks like a stork, it will break its leg")
Not all crow-tits would try to be storks (extraordinary people who have it all), but often, those 'not-so-extraordinary' underdogs try hard to keep up with the extraordinary group of people.
Here, BTS is shouting out to those small crow-tits (average people) by telling them to put their hands up.

The crow-tit thing, as others have said, is essentially a Korean reference to zillennials. Crow-tit (baepsae) = millennials/genZ, stork = boomers. I mention the word "baepsae" specifically because BTS has a song _called_ that (I think people usually translate the English name into "Silver Spoon," still a cultural reference to privilege divide). It doesn't have an MV, but watching it along with an explained video would still probably be a fun time. But tl;dr when they say, "Hey, crow-tits, hands up! Hey, friends, hands up!" it's just a call to the young people and underdogs of the world to join with them.

Thank God more eloquent people explained crow-tit to you. Did you notice the live translated it as underdog? But my real question is do you laugh at titmouse? Tufted titmouse? I'll wait. Okay, this bit doesn't work because how could you have made the connection without knowing crow-tit was a bird. But maybe you do laugh at titmouse. And that's okay.
You could have been seeing frost. It looks like it's snowing through parts of the video, day and night, but I don't know if that was real or not real. Looked real. There were patches of snow all around the place. Cool explanation about the dust falling. It made for a great transition. Also I'll never watch the start again without isolating the left and right sound in my ears.

Interesting fact:
This song kind of sent Jin-biased fans into a bit of a rage. He has no lines and is only seen solo for 2 seconds in the mv. They even ran an ad campaign in front of Big Hit about it. To my understanding it's one of the reasons why they are more careful today to give everyone the spotlight they all deserve. (I'm not talking about line distribution!)

The scientific name of the baepsae is sinosuthora webbiana, I'm sorry but I can't found actual English name.
It's probably not a mistranslation, there are a class of birds called tits, in England there's the coal tit, the blue tit, etc. They're pretty small and also common.
