Suga's parents were against him rapping. There is an amazing video of them coming to a concert and him kneeling in front of them. Also RM is known as the God of destruction and the fact that the door didn't open and he didn't break it is hysterical. I never get tired of this song. There's a second MV to this, the Japanese version and it also has behind the scenes. Looking forward to your breakdown.
As for the people in hoodies, it doesn't represent them rebelling from authorities. Rather it's a representation of their haters. "They" appear in multiple MVs (Fire, Not Today). But as the lyrics says, Jimin tells the haters to follow him with their signs up instead. I take this as a literal meaning. In the early years there were a lot of people hating on them, who later became fans holding BTS signs.
For those who remained BTS haters- this is the final goodbye as Jin sings at the end. They're no longer gonna be addressed by them. Apart from songs mentioned above, the rap line also has 4 cypher addressed to the haters.

You must have never watched any of the very earliest songs if this is the hardest you’ve ever seen them go lol it’s a great song and the music video transitions are insane with the amount of back and forth between the different scenes for a lot of dance moves needing to properly sync up … a testament to how clean that they are as dancers and super consistent. Baby BTS debuted as a hip hop idol group which I’m pretty sure you know… but maybe you should go backwards and start way back to the very beginning songs and music videos… it would be pretty cool for you to see where they started… and what they’re like now all around. Baby bts is known for being hard and powerful… the dance moves are strong, fast and energetic… the swag is definitely the vibe. You just have to go into it with an open mind. The songs themselves I love and the choreo for the earlier ones is really cool to see as well. Anyway I’ll name their first few songs … you should def check them out. Just keep in mind theyre young… and the company had no money at all… so that kinda shows around them…. But the songs and dances are SO good… just remember the clothes and hair styling is cringy lol to me it is… but they worked with what they had and went with what they knew about hip hop vibes at the time. Mic drop shows how they can still fire off with that hip hop vibe but doing it in such a BTS way is what stands out… this feels genuine and clever but classy swag. Also one that’s not the earlier ones but the music video has always been a classic bc of the music video and kinda going to battle anthem vibe of song and choreo to it but the music video is pretty unique in a lot of ways and people always say it looks like a movie lol and that I’ll leave below to. The music videos and dance practices for all of these are really interesting and the choreo is always really really good so the last one to watch is

This song was inspired by Obama’s Mic Drop and RM wanting to tell haters they are just above them all. They’ve won over 400 awards so far it’s ridiculous. BTS loves bandannas especially Suga and Teahyung (V). They really go all out doing this live it’s crazy.

Btw, there's a korean original version of this song, since this is a remix, that has more of a grungier and less comercial sound to it, and IN MY OPINION is a little bit better 🤭 People tend to like more the remix though, but you should check it out, maybe not on video since it doesn't have an official one, only live performance

Look up “HYBE trophy room”. The vast, vast majority of the trophies in there were won by BTS. Them bags are HELLA thick.

This is the song that made me ARMY. :) That's EXACTLY was this song is. The rapper from the video that called them girls for wearing make-up and being idols, YEARS later tried to apologize and said they can actually rap. This song was there EFF OFF - we don't need or want your apology or validation. The original version is also worth checking out! Especially the long version with two dance breaks.

yeah, this is one of my favourite songs for sure! DNA was the first song I saw on a US show & I enjoyed it but it wasn't until I saw Fake Love performed at the 2018 AMAs (but I saw the vid on YT in 2019) that I was hooked. Still upset that it took me so long!! anyway, it's great to see you enjoy and have fun- MicDrop is a really hype song. It was updated slightly from the original, adding more English for Aoki's remix. JK loved being on the wires flying, He's such an adrenaline junkie. You'll see later on when you get to the Bon Voyages, Summer/Winter packages, or Run BTS (the variety show, not to be confused with their new song from the latest album Proof). Jungkook is always the one, hanging on bungeeropes, with a big smile on his face, even backwards or upside down. He is fearless when it comes to stunts. ( Unlike J-Hope, who is scared of about everything, but such a brave person for still always trying).

Mic Drop was the second BTS song I ever heard after Kinetic Manifesto, and my God I was so impressed lol. No matter what kind of music you like, there is at least ONE BTS song for you. They encompass so many genres. The rap line's solo stuff will really blow you away I think, I know you've already watched a couple, but there's SOOO freaking many lol.

A line I LOVE that I never hear anyone really mention is, "Baby watch your mouth. It comes back around. Once upon a time, we learned how to fly." Which to me, is referencing back to the Wings theme and the support from ARMY that they've said multiple times has given them the wings to fly. So to me, it is saying, once upon a time of hate, they learned how to soar despite it. Especially because the next reference he uses to fly is traditional, talking about how they only get sleep in the air because they're always flying somewhere. And it just gives me such chills! Also! Also think of Permission to Dance which also basically says that even if they fall, they know they'll land just fine.

what's more funny during the ambulance scene of RM in "the making" is he usually breaks things in the set but this time, he was unable to open the door despite his destructive strength because he was afraid to damage it.
Mic Drop is epic BTS, aimed at everyone who doubted them and put them down, which happened often - and the scene with Joon, where he gets stuck in the ambulance - it’s iconic for Army, we joke about our “God of Destruction” a LOT, and he actually didn’t destroy the door this time!!! I think his hair might have been permed here, if not, it was just curled or crimped - I also think it looks great. Jungkook and Jimin on the wires looks like fun, it’s a pity it’s such a tiny part of the video as it’s a cool effect…

I couldn't tell ya hahaha, but I feel like a pretty low number! I will say I had it happen over and over again with this horrible door rig I had to make for a short film. I would get it in place, test it over and over, worked every time. they call Action, the thing jams up and the door won't open... an actual nightmare of a shoot.

Mic Drop is an amazing song and the Remix with Steve Aoki is top knot. I love the earlier grittier BTS songs, they have such a raw feeling to them.
