Now that half lengths are becoming more normal I kind of want to see something like a half-length jolt. Just, challenging them to make the absolute smallest, most compact single-shot blaster they possibly can.

It's unfortunate that the new magazine splinters the userbase, but I really think the Nightingale's new angled mag is a boon for independent designers. It's slimmer in both breadth and width, so upcoming pistol blasters can have less chonky grips, if they're designed to have in-grip magazines.
The other will be considered obsolete shortly I'll bet. It does suck a bit for peeps that invested in it admittedly
The zinc does the same. It's spring powered but it is sooo comfortable to hold
It seems that you could add a small adapter or shim to use these new smaller mags in the angled talon Maxwell's. Much like the Nexus or Aeon adapters
its called a mag in handle system
High-power version is really spicy for HvZ as a primary, or superstock wars as a sidearm.
The low-power one is usable *enough* for stock wars where people use Rival, Ultra or non-Pro Dart Zone blasters.
Edit: time for a fun fact! If you happen to have a ZWQ S200 Fire Rat, the Nightingale mags are compatible!
That low power one seems great for use with the good toys (Spectrum/Villainator/Tomahawk/Rival Springers) Coop mentions that its accuracy is a bit lacking, but I wonder how it compares to the other blasters in that class. Is it less accurate than the Spectrum or the Dart Zone Blitzfire BF-2? The BF-2 is amazingly accurate for a $7 no-barrel springer that can be made half-dart compatible with a piece of tape. It shoots ~80 fps and I find it more accurate than any other toy class blaster at 25 ft.
Low power one seems good for ppl like me who don’t rlly play “pro” games. I just plunk around with friends, family, or just have fun shooting at blankets. Lol

@@michaellee4276 He's comparing to superstock springers, like the Nexus Pro, Talon Claw or Worker Swift. Springers with compression barrels will always be more accurate than flywheelers.
The accuracy is good enough and certainly better than stock blasters, but it's nothing exceptional like a springer.
if youre using this against people using rival blasters, you already lost.
In my experience, this blaster is VERY accurate with worker darts. For some reason adventure force pros aren't as consistent. It's also more accurate if you let it rev but that's obvious.
This gun also jams if you don't fully pull the trigger and fully let it reset so that's mostly a user error thing. I had it chew a couple of dart heads before I got used to it.
Just as I wanted a review on this small thing, coop gives it. Amazing.

Initially I'm concerned about the loud revving sound but having the AEG Challenge mk3 pro max as the primary, I feel having force feedback and audible firing sound makes the whole gameplay more satisfying and immersive than silent springers.

Same here, I was thinking of taking the normal nerf drum mag, and reverse engineering it so we have basically the same parts but smaller (they could be made from a 3d printer) and figure out how to get it to feed.

Bought one of these as soon as it came out, it is a sweet little thing. What a fun blaster.
Very cool. I like the concept of these angled mags more. They have a purpose.
Regarding Worker's grip designs, I feel like most of them are designed with glove-wearers in mind.
It seems to me that nerfing is asia is culturally closer to airsoft and playing on a dedicated field with dedicated gears dominates the more "casual" way of nerfing in public spaces, college and parks. Hence, the grips are designed with a different dominant way of handling them.
The worker purple gen3 darts give low to mid 130s av.
Also worker has a full metal upgrade, pic rail and a few other things for about 50 or 60 $

tbh i have extremely good accuracy with worker darts in this blaster, almost like i have a string scar on the end of the barrel, the barrel does have rifled grooves but not sure if its cosmetic or not
I'm too much of a full-length Elite-size dart Nerfer for these to end up in my loadouts.
But they look like they'd be fun to use in a Resident Evil style HvZ game, where the Humans are only allowed a limited arsenal.

It would be nice if there was a switch to keep it at half speed and when you slightly pull the trigger it goes to full speed. Would save a little time revving up when you pull the trigger.

How do you know which one's the high-powered from the other one cuz I have the orange one it seems a flywheel spin up really fast but I guess the only way to show and on a Chrono test

Agreed, but since mostly hardcore nerfers are going to be the ones buying this so it probably doesn't hurt them to buy a few extra mags
The nightingale mags seem to be replacing the less common angled talons

Wonder if anyone could make a Apex Legends Alternator blaster with short darts. Not necessarily with two barrels but with the cool bullpup magazine placement. I wonder if that's even possible because you need a rod behind the magazine
You can get a spring RE-45 that shots 85 fps at biu blaster
alternator wouldnt be possible, you cant get anything behind the dart to shove it into the chamber

A proper holster and slightly shorter magazine would make this a perfect sidearm. I know that would sacrifice capacity but I think the end of the magazine would bump into stuff. The last thing you want when you're trying to be stealthy is your gear and weapons making noise. Other than those two things I think it's awesome.
Came here to say the same thing. The 10-round angled Talon fits flush into the Phoenix 1.0, would be neat if they had a 10ish-round angled mini Talon to fit flush into the Nightingale.
Frank, what do you recommend? Nightingale Pro or Phoenix 2.0?
I would suggest opening that orange one and checking that the flywheels are level. Worker has released some of the Nightingales with the flywheels uneven, and your orange ones performance seems off, like the flywheels maybe uneven. Luke from out of darts did a video where he mentioned this.

If i were to use a battery that has a lower voltage than recommended on high power one, would it work like low power *without* wearing out the motor quicker?
Does this blaster have different capacity mags?
I like the idea of a 6 shot mag that does NOT stick out of the blaster at all making it easy to pull from a small compact place or holster, firing off those rounds to save your life, then slappin a larger mag in it if your reduced to using a sidearm.
Out Of Dart might make them.
@@sed6 unfortunately they only make the 15 and 18 round mags for this, hopefully they will have more options down the line. It's a wonder no one has effectively reverse engineered the 18, 25, 35 and 50 round Nerf Drums.
In other words, the hobby finally is getting close to the monsters that you created years ago.
It's possible that you're meant to use the lanyard and the holster together
