I like to imagine that this is an Alaskan outpost and we are there to monitor the wilderness. Supplies come in by boat in a harbor nearby. Of course, this a futuristic type of building with a substanable energy supply and waste management. I love this video, I can watch the rain for hours before I fall asleep. The radio chatter is surprisingly calming too.
If you ever come to Alaska just know that it's pretty beautiful wild life out there. Lots of trees or Christmas trees and big hill's as far the eye can see.

You’d love this game called fire watch. You play as a ranger checking for forest fires but in the forest you find some remnants and hints of some conspiracy going on and you spend the game trying to figure out what’s going on
The dimness, paired with this hypnotic sound, creates a space where my soul feels more open, almost stripped down to a raw honesty that demands real introspection. There’s something grounding in drawing the blinds, slipping on my headphones, and letting my mind drift through memories, both distant and vivid. It's surreal, confronting, and meaningful-a place that lets me look at myself with unfiltered truth. I feel at home here.
As a law enforcement officer I would love to work as a Forest Ranger. I am getting sick of people and their crap. I would take a night shift at a Ranger post any day.
You managed to escape the carnage of the city and travelled on foot for days to reach the secret secluded outpost. The building is secure, reinforced at all levels and stocked with provisions and weaponary. You settle down in a chair and fire up the monitors, checking for movement within the forest and listening to the emergency broadcasts playing on loop. The screens in front of you show no signs of life amongst the dense trees. Surely you're too far away from civilisation for the infected to find you here you think...For the first time in a week, you're able to relax, knowing you're safe
Note from the previous shift: The Outsiders can imitate human voices. If they see you they will try to trick you. If they hear your voice they can imitate you. Stay indoors. Don’t talk too loud and ignore any voices you might hear from outside. They are out there and they are watching you.
Note from the Second shift: I heard Ramone screaming from the trees to 'open the rear hatch'. I heeded the warning from the last shift and waited until I could clearly see him. He was in view for a few seconds before I saw what was chasing. The hatch's opening sequence did not finish before they impaled him and dragged his body away. As I stood outside, through the rain I could hear the continued cries of 'Ramone's' voice screaming 'open the rear hatch'. They could parrot voices but they had little idea of context!
Id take that job. Just alone, the out doors, a working outpost with running water food supply and total isolation WITH internet? Bring it on.. Hermit Mode activate!

Superbe, entre les ambiances nocturnes et pluvieuses de certains épisodes d'X-Files et celles d'une hypothétique mission scientifique en pleine forêt, loin de toute civilisation...
I’m just now beginning my foray into seasonal work with the Forest Service, and I’m really hoping to snag a position as a fire lookout next year. Unfortunately these lookout towers aren’t nearly as common as they used to be, and lookout jobs are much fewer as a result. But I’d like to have that experience of being surrounded by ambient wilderness, hearing the animals and sway of the wind at night, all of it.
Must be an amazing experience. Reminds me to maybe to an ambience in such a place, great vibe! Reminds me on an indie game I've once played: Firewatch. (highly recommended)
Excellent, part dark, part cozy outpost atmosphere... The only flaw I'd note is that the music is too loud, though the music is otherwise a perfect fit with the overall ambience. If the music had been just strong enough to complement, but not distract from or drown out, the rain and the radio chatter, then this video would have been near perfect...
Your two "Alone in an outpost " are absolute masterpieces, thanks.
