I live in Atlanta, and can believe how much fun I had there in Christmas time and summer time. Move here and get you a housssssss while it’s cheap. Get you a fixer upper and add to the community and you won’t miss Atlanta
Waiting for our hs sophomore to graduate, then looking to move down there from Ohio. Hoping that being a veteran and former police officer will help make it a little easier to find work.
Luke - Nice video. I was born in Macon and lived there until I moved to Atlanta at age 20. I was there about a week ago visiting my brother and nephew. I still love all the historical homes near downtown, and was very glad to see that the downtown area, especially around Cherry Street, is seeing an investment by young entrepreneurs. I think Macon and middle Georgia are decent for raising a family, but also probably a good place for retirees that would like a nice home with lots of trees, but don't need the types of "full service" retirement communities that are so popular in Florida. I occasionally ponder moving back to middle Georgia. Perhaps I will give you a call one day to see what's available.

@@LivingInMiddleGeorgia we are checking into a few rental properties and gave found one we are applying for. We have a one year contract working at a college there so we don’t know if we will be there long enough to purchase a home. But it’s wild because for under 2k (which is nothing in california) we can get 3 bedrooms that are amazing !
@@elerios9 isn’t it! I wouldn’t recommend buying unless you plan on staying a minimum of 2-3 years! Unless you buy this home and you plan on renting it out if you ever leave. Excited for you to join the area!
Coming form Calif...first know that Georgia is not California so don't expect to find the same culture or mindset. As you may know, ex- Californians have made a negative reputation in places they have relocated to because of their ultra liberal view points. As a result many states including Texas, Tennessee, idaho, and Georgia view transplants like some view illegal immigrants. Just don't come here complaining that it's not what you're used to back in California.

Mild winters but the humidity is worse than Florida because it’s inland and doesn’t receive an ocean breeze. You want to find out of Macons for you visit in August.
Hate is a powerful word. I really would not want to live in Atlanta. I left there 15 yrs ago because it is now like a blend of calif and east coast in the northern middle of Georgia.
I hate it too. Maconites are OBSESSED with the past. It's rare that I meet anybody who can have an intelligent conversation. This is an intellectual wasteland. Oh, and fuck the "dawgs" You people are boring and stunted.
I’ll probably be moving to Georgia in the next month or two relocating for a job in soperton and wanted your feedback on some rental housing or apartments or if you know someone who does that can help
