Uhuru you are beating on a dead horse. BBI was never a priority for Kenyans. It was a priority for You and raila only and wanted to shove down kenyans throats. The idea of bringing BBI in the middle of a pandemic, instead of spending resources on Covid, People felt your priorities were wrong and you were just interested in succession poltics as opposed to the well being of Kenyans in the midde of a health crisis.
There were good things proposed in BBI, Infact 70% of BBi was good, but once you touched on introducing political posts, new constituencies, and changing the constitution then you lost the narrative and ruto was able to pick on this and run away with it like a poltician under siege would do. Ruto played his cards right and you played into him.
What you should have done immediately after the hand shake which majority of the people were for including many Mps opposing you today, you should have focused on things that touch on Kenyans that could master passing legislatively through parliament. Issues on corruption on how to seal all corruption loopholes, requiring back ground checks and audits on all aspiring candidates even before they run for office and civil servants to declare their wealth "Life style audits" and made public.
Laws that will ensure that no president while in office will increase their wealth by one shilling, their aides and family also. Creating a ward fund that touches on people where they live as opposed funds being corrupted at the county HQ, Sealing corruption loopholes and waste in govt and those benefits trickle down to the people of Kenya by offering free secondary education and free school meal programs. And so many other proposal that require legislation. These would have been seen as you looking out for the people of Kenya and would have had 100% support. ruto would have been hard pressed to oppose you and then after they pass you could have
