  • In this video I build one of the 2 36 volt 60 amp hour batteries for my Electric Enduro conversion. I am connecting 5 packs of 7.4v 60ah batteries from BatteryHookUp.com. These packs are backup power for medical equipment and only used when the power goes out in a medical center (almost never). I add an extra layer of nickel strips for higher current draw and connect the packs together with 10 gauge wire. I add small wires for the balancing leads and put them back in the rubber casing they came in. I then heat shrink the pack and solder the connectors that fit my balancer. BatteryHookUp's inventory changes regularly so these exact cells might not be available, but this process works for a lot of the packs they sell. I paid $38 each, so a little over $400 for the 10 packs with shipping. I have been using the 26ah battery for over 6 months in my enduro back and forth to work, still going strong, so I hope for go results with this one as well.
