Plus you don't know his living situation, not to mention we are still in a pandemic, he might have several kids or a parent who's ill and needs to take care of. He should keep his job, his life matters to him the most before others, that's not selfish that's just common sense.

Apparently they ate the shrimp by the conveyor belt, tossed the tails, and proceeded to floss because let's not forget he found dental floss in there too. But black stuff cooked into the squares, all in the same bag of cereals, this was a jackpot

Like what?! If I was the consumer and found that, I’d cooperate and send them the sample and would’ve kept one for myself ( just in case). The goal here is to help stop the sale of more contaminated boxes, and launch a full investigation into it. It could’ve been tampered on purpose or accidentally at the factory. They could’ve narrowed it down to a person, a step in the process, etc. But no, he never wanted to cooperate since the beginning.
Food tapering and contamination are highly dangerous and should be taken seriously, unlike this as*hole.

Exactly. If it was food tampering by an employee, they definitely need to get to the bottom of it. Tracking down the lot number and finding out when and where it was produced. Either they'll reprimand the workers responsible or have them undergo another food safety training course. Or if it was accidental, they need to do a massive recall on any other cereals produced on that same belt.
General Mills produces more than breakfast cereals, they also own Totinos, Progresso and Hamburger Helper, so while cross contamination in the same facility may be possible, each production line should be in different parts of the factory (Not sure how General Mills is set up). My main guess is still human error. Either someone tried to eat while on the clock and accidentally knocked over his leftover shrimp tails into the cereal batch or someone kept their shrimp tails in their coat pockets during their lunchbreak (instead of throwing them away in the trash)and it ended up on the work floor, eventually making its way into the product.

I think the issue he had was more so that they publicly discredited him and tried to play it down when it was clearly shrimp tails. I’m guessing he didn’t trust them to do a thorough and honest testing if he did send it in. They might instead destroy evidence and release a statement saying it wasn’t shrimp. Then he’d be left with no proof. I personally am glad he decided to get it tested on his own and hopefully he sues.

@@Jadeinan actually, even in this video they mention how he said he sent it for testing but the institution that supposedly was to do it never got in contact with him or anything... So he's extremely unreliable and rude. The customer service isn't responsible for the shrimp (if it was even truly in the cereal) and they gave a reason that's possible since they can't do much anyway without examining the sample.

Don't yall have it written on the Package? Like "Can contain traces of..."? We have that here. It's usually written when different things are being processed in the same factory and something like this could happen.
I don't see what was so weird about General Mills reaction to this. The had a theory on what it was, but wanted to investigate more, they needed the box to help with the investigation, guy refuses to give them the box, and then the investigation can't go any further. It's not General Mills fault the guy didn't want to cooperate.

The guy should’ve just complied so that a proper investigation could be held to ensure that something like this does not happen. Someone could have intentionally tampered with the items, was it not in America that cyanide was put into Advil or something that lead to stricter standards. Before even seeing the product in person The Cinnamon Toast Crunch people told him it was in NO way shrimp tails and was just sugar. That would have made me mad too, but he started being weird when he didn’t just bring it to his local police station or give at least some of the pieces to CTC. He probably did nothing because he's afraid they will pay for some test that exposes him as the bullshitter that he is. Like, I'm pretty sure if this actually happened to any reasonable person, they would want to see the situation through and prevent it from happening to anyone else. CTC even told him to take it to the police, does he think they are conspiring with the police? 😂 I mean, if you did nothing wrong and you legitimately found this in your cereal, just let them test it. Keep a piece for yourself if you really want to do independent tests. But at least do SOMETHING about it besides running your mouth online
When I was 6 years old. We had just gone grocery shopping and bought cereal. I opened the box and the cereal was full of maggots. My father didn't take it back to the store. Instead he just threw it away. Since then I have never eaten that cereal ever again.
I'm not saying that this didn't or couldn't have happened but considering that maggots feed on dead flesh seems kind of odd they'd end up there.

I’d believe someone found a finger in their cereal before believing someone found the discarded tail of a cooked shrimp in their box.
I definitely think he just grabbed some shrimp tails from his dinner and covered them in cinnamon sugar. Shrimp wouldn’t be processed in the same factory as cereal, another General Mills cereal would be way more likely/believable.

That guy is so rude. He doesn't understand how serious his allegations are, and how difficult he is making the situation. What's wrong with him giving them a 3 hour window for collection? He acted like it was ludicrous. He also acted like bringing it to a police station to investigate product tampering, which is a serious crime, was insane. Just makes him look like he faked the whole thing. It's like he doesn't want to know how it got in there, because he already knows.
With the tape on the package though, I can imagine a mouse got into the bag, and brought other bits and bobs into it. Surely they could test the tape, and find out if it was taped at Cosco, or the factory. But of course, he is being rude and unhelpful.
What I want to know is y he bothered to open the taped bag to begin with. If a food product shows signs of having been opened before, then u already know that something’s wrong with it and should just thrown the bag out.

I have had a loaf of bread with a mouse baked into. I was half way through the loaf and I noticed the dark spot and pulled the bread out the bag. It was curled up at the bottom end and had even been sliced. I just freaked out and threw it away. poor mouse.
