This might be the next Gem and the Holograms kind of bad adaptation of a classic kid show.
Rely all the teachers are douches and why so many back flips like if she just ran for the pram like a normal person she wouldnt have to use her grappling hook this movie looks like a shiter version of spy kids.
Actually the movie was decent. The acting from shego and drakken was amazing. Ron,the teacher and the golf villian guy acting was good. Everyone else. Meh. But shego and drakken is the reason you should see this movie. You will be impressed.

Fortunate Anane facts and Sokka sucked in the live action last airbender movie. Both of these characters are comic relief tbh so if their jokes don’t land, the whole scene becomes awkward rather than funny

Kim possible is one of the best female characters of all time mostly because she taught a generation of kids that anything was possible as long as you were willing to take action I think this new movie really missed it and animated her way more than she ever was I felt that they ruined the character because it made her attention seeking and they put way more flips and tricks than necessary I mean I totally understand that they wanted to make this for a new generation but the writers could have put more thought and consideration to the fans that grew up with this ground breaking show

I feel that if it hadn't been a Kim Possible remake and simply a teen spy film, than it would have made for a decent, if cliche Disney channel movie. But the movie truely failed to meet any of my already high expectations and I honestly went in wanting to absolutely LOVE the movie and reminisce about the past. Growing up, Kim Possible along with Alex, Clover and Sam from Totally Spies were my role models. Female characters that showed me that I could be a multi-dimensional person; I could be "sporty" and badass one day or "girly" and badass another day, that I didn't have to fit into one box. But, sadly the movie failed to harness what made Kim Possible such an AMAZING character and T.V. show to watch.

Did anyone notice that the whole premise of the movie was so identical to that of the animated "So the Drama" movie? Drakken sends a robot to befriend Kim before they eventually turn on her. The only difference between the two is that Athena redeems herself, while Eric, the boyfriend, remains evil. Still, I liked Christy Carlson Romano's cameo, and Sean Giambrone as Ron!

They never had a friendship to begin with since Athena’s only interested in Kim was to take her down. Also they only hung out like 3-4 times and after they go on their first mission together they don’t talk to each other for the rest of the of the movie.

Kim Possible was my favourite childhood show, she was also my first role model. Sad to see this disappoint so much, also why did they recycle the story of So the Drama? In that one, Drakken exposes Kim's weakness to boys, here he exposes Kim's weakness to... memes?

Kim wasn't even like that in the original, she was humble and wanted to be treated like everyone else, she wasn't conceited and jealous. If the movie was going to be the exact opposite of the show, than why call it Kim Possible at all. It's not like new kids will know who she is, the show ended 12 years ago. Young adults that watched the show when they were kids (like me) aren't going to watch it because it is poorly made and is targeted at young kids. If they made a random movie about a teenage superhero, nobody would care If it was bad or not. But this is using the name of a very good and very popular show and making it completely different and terrible.
In my personal opinion (prefacing it with this before I get mauled by fetuses) it shouldn't have made it for kids because......what little ass kid is going to remember Kim Possible the way the older gen did? And have a nostalgia trip? Their nostalgia is still in the process, tf.
The adaptation could have benefitted from a timeless approach, maybe with an older Kimpossible, taking on a mature subject. Nothing like Deadpool where it goes so far out its rated M, but like "Teen Titans"; it could have added more dimension to the characters, instead of playing it safe and targeting that little kiddie demographic heavy. Ugh take out all the live streaming, memes and cringe, I don't know why movies date themselves like that.
I agree! Kim possible ended years ago and the people who watched it when it was airing is all grown up now. It would make sense to make a Kim possible movie for the people who actually watched the show growing up. But instead they geared it towards kids of today. And just included memes and Instagram to seem "relevant"
To answer the question the reason why they did it was cause most the kids that grew up to it are parents now and there kids are on the channels they used to be on. Realize there 9 year olds that are die hard Mighty Morphing Power Rangers fan. Those kids weren’t even though of when that show came out. It gives kids a way to know there parents and parents to connect more with there kids with stuff they use to grow up with. Transformers, Voltron(even tho the Netflix version is a good modern remake)..all the Disney live action movies like lion king and them. There all ways to get viewership via nostalgia feelings

I was so excited to hear about Disney making a Tomorrowland movie but I was super disappointed when it was a gritty and realistic instead of wacky and imaginative like Tomorrowland is at Disney World.

One of her main reasons why I really like Kim possible is because I saw every kind of person in the show. They were white people there are Asians, black people. I never felt like anyone was left out and it had a wicked plan line

somethings just work better in 2D. Kim Possible with its campiness, silliness, and over the top antics is definitely one of them. But they went with child actors who looked similar to the characters rather than the funny, over-the-top, voice actors who are experienced at being really expressive. A lot of the performances felt very flat especially when compared to the cartoon. I would have much rather watched a movie starring the voice actors as an adult Kim Possible crew. I mean Will Friedle is one of the few people on earth that can have a comedic freakout that's funny without being annoying

@@radsical1392 I agree, because older talent would probably be more able and proficient with the choreography needed for an action show. Though a lot of the blame also lies with the budget and stunt/fight choreographers making everything look slow and awkward, like some middle school beginners gymnastics showcase.

Seems like Netflix has a trend with that. Take beloved kids shows from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s, and produce subpar reboots that pale in comparison to the original, all while pushing pc and "woke" agendas. Makes me really worried for the live action Avatar The Last Airbender reboot they're planning.

1. Watched this with a 6 yr old, they loved it. When I saw the preview I knew it wasn’t for me and I’ll keep the 2000 Kim possible.

I like how neutral you were about this movie. There's been adults whining about how this movie wasn't made for them and etc (I also grew up watching this show but I'm not gonna complain because the cast worked hard to produce this film, can't take away that credit from them). I absolutely agree with you about making the story better because the cast does have *great potential* and idk how she managed all those cart wheels and rolls, I thought it was pretty cool nonetheless. If they made it similar to the original and really wrote the story well instead of making it like a joke, I'm sure it'll excel well as a series.

I don't have any nostalgia for Kim Possible, but I pretty much agree with everything here.
I coincidentally watched the original series a few weeks before they announced this movie. It's not the best series ever but it definitely is good, and definitely a product of its time.
My biggest problem is that this movie has Kim made out to be this like superhuman - a perfect teenage girl with insane abilities - but that's not really what she was in the series. Yeah, she had some pretty unrealistic abilities that can't really be explained away with "I'm a cheerleader," but they were at least somewhat realistic, and she only used them when necessary (not to pick up some frickin papers). She also made plenty of mistakes, and Ron was actually an important part of their team and ended up saving the day a lot even though he was basically just a normal teenage boy.
This movie feels like it's trying too hard to be a "superhero-slice of life" movie when it's unable to strike a decent balance between "superhuman" and "normal teenage girl."
Outside of Kim, Drakken, Shego, and Athena, the characters felt like filler, and they seemed to only exist for the purposes of "HeY rEmEmBeR tHeM?"
Over all, the Kim Possible movie has all the pieces of a fantastic (or at least good) reboot, but it just used them in a way that really didn't work.
As i read this the kim possible theme song was stuck in my head😂
