- Wow, If the term I'm not crying, you are really applies to this video, then folks it is 100% true. Both the visuals and live performance had me in the feels. I'm so shook and if I personally knew Selena, I would've went up on stage with her and gave her a huge hug! Kudos to her for being the bigger person here and persevering through this performance.

1. The song was made a year prior and it was supposed to be released earlier. There were 3 different dates for the songs release before the actual release date for the song, but Selena didn't feel ready at those times so she didn't release it.
2. Her AMA performance was her only performance for this song.
3. The voicemail in the beginning was actually a 5-minute voicemail she recorded alone but cut parts out. She says that voicemail is gone forever, but some have been able to get some more of that voicemail. If you search up "The Heart Wants What It Wants Extended Into" on UA-cam, you'll find videos of some of the voicemail cut from the music video.
4. Love Will Remember -> The Heart Wants What It Wants -> Lose You To Love Me is the holy trinity of that relationship's journey and her side of the story. There's actually a few references on Lose You To Love Me to those songs.

This was the first and only video my grandma had seen of Selena Gomez before she died; I was and still am a huge Taylor fan so we’ve seen literally almost all of her stuff, but when she saw Selena perform this live, she said “that girl sang from her heart.
