Pink print is her best album. Queen also was a good album. I grew up loving the early Nicki like the Roman side and hyper pop, but the older I get and the more her albums come the more I respect her later work over her early work.
Here's the thing. I think nicki is getting a little tired and THAT IS OKAY. she has a family, a young son to raise. She may be thinking of retiring soon and that is valid. that makes sense. i think we need to stop expecting people to be like beyonce. hear me out. most of our faves from back in the day who has been performing for decades are over 40 and they have slowed down and enjoyed their achievements and that makes sense. but beyonce still puts out albums yearly and then goes on a world wide tour for each album. not everyone can do that. and that's okay. i love nicki minaj so much. but not everyone can do what beyonce has done. beonce has set a standard that no one else is touching. so I need people an some nicki fans to stop demanding so much from her. she has paid her dues. let her do whatever she wants. shes a legend now. legends rest. but not beyonce because beyonce is insane lol
Nicki lacks the creativity and hunger to be different, wacky, unpredictable, and groundbreaking that she used to have. I want roman to come back but I don’t want her to drag the rap beefs she has with Megan, doja, latto, cardi, ice, and ext… I want her to talk about injustices in the world right now. If Kendrick can do it so can she.
you know what i noticed... in her interview when she was talking about the " high hells on my tippes" line she basically said she would remeber how she used to do it, and i can see she used to cringe about talking her past way of doing her raps and creativity but thats the nicki we loved her campiness her over exaggerating raps it made her standout harddddd
i also wish that Nicki expanded on the pinkprint story with tracks that were meant to be on the album. but apart of me believes that maybe it was made just so long ago that the files with the old music are just not able to be accessed. the songs she put out were songs she said she made almost 10 years ago and a few years after. like arctic tundra was first leaked in 2018 or something. it does seem like she is in her comfort zone and i really wish she would do something drastic to give us something new and challenge herself. i hate to say it but this us giving current drake era music where like drake Nicki has sooo much music and she can write so well that any song is easy to write to. but if you stay to long in that easy soace you end up making souless albums. like people now want drake to stop putting more albums out cause its gone flat and redundant. i dont want Nicki to fall in that trap. The first pink Friday and her pink print was her magus opus. Secondly, she is about to reach the end of her career and is trying to make all the extra money she can before she drops her final album. Her recent album had no push from her record label and had no music video and that’s why it lacked the so called fire and drive you speak of. This was the first time in history she didn’t push an album and saved the money for her tour background set up and that’s part of the reason this tour made her the most money. She seems to be gathering her coins to exit the industry and not putting money into the industry for music videos and promotions.

One of the reasons I feel this way is because in the beginning (PF and PF Roman Reloaded), she was trying to cater to too many markets (rap, pop, r&b, dance, etc). Sonically, those albums are all over the place. The Pinkprint is her best because it's balanced and has substance. Pink Friday 2 sounds like a collection of lackluster songs with little to no cohesion, put together for an album. Those albums you named are not classic or anything close to being a masterpiece. If anything, it's classic to the barbs but not critics or the general public. And her saving money on tour has nothing to do with recording lackluster music. 💯

What I said was she was stretching herself thin, trying to cover so many genres in an attempt to reach the masses. If it was str8 up trash, I wouldn't buy any of it.
