The baddest ZJ First generation Ever built .. The fastest SUV in 1998 .. The biggest engine ever put in a ZJ 5.9 360 .. all the leather and bells and whistles 13,000 + created .. Only like 3500 Stone white. I have a stock white one too - complete. Took 2 yrs to find original missing parts. You are creating the animal it was supposed to be. HellYeah!
i’m still trying to find a driver door card. i’ll probably never buy the missing rear seats as it’s off road only, but damn. I need that door card! been looking for a year already so i feel your pain a bit lol
I’ve found that after time cutting directly on the fender line will cause dimpled fenders. Little trick is to cut 1/4 under the fender line to prevent dimples from happening.
Good video, nice to see someone using a grinder with a cut off wheel as its cleaner. Love that you have a face shield on, but please wear gloves, I have had stitches and know several who alot have had plenty of stitches lol, and I am a welder who uses them every day.
I have a Stone White 5.9 ZJ like yours but the previous owner removed the tow hooks. I could use those. I've been following your mods and am considering some of them for mine. Keep the videos coming!👍
How much of a lift do you have? I have a 94 just got a 4 inch suspension lift curious of how much trimming ima have to do to get my set of Venom 35s to fit
What is the plan for the cladding on the quarter panels? Do you plan on taking all the cladding off? I have a white 9er and I Am trying to figure out if that is my plan is to remove the all the cladding or not. When I got mine it had been cut like yours just to rear of the front tire. I Hate that look and I am just trying to figure out what I Am going to do to it. I have the Affordable Off Road front bumper with the stinger bar and I Must say that the 9ers look pretty mean with those on just like goliaths
How are those louvers attached to the hood? I got a 5.9 set for my 5.2 and have the drip trays on atm. Trying to figure out the easiest way to use them without the trays.
If you want them functional, you need to cut holes for the vents, drill for the mounting bolts/studs and trim or remove the hood liner. Just be aware that without the trays, rain, snow, ice, etc. will drip through onto stuff you would prefer to keep dry. I suggest fabricating your own trays to divert the water and stuff to the front of the hood like the originals or a drain tube. I'm going to replace my factory trays with taller offset ones with drains to make them more effective...after my shoulder heals from joint replacement surgery.
@@stevenmitchell6347 I have them installed (functionally) like the factory did on the 5.9. I was more curious on ideas of how to fasten them to the hood without the drip trays since they pinch the louver against the hood. The fasteners look more like sheet metal screws than they do bolts so I couldn’t think of anything off the top of my head on how to attach them without the trays. I’m not too concerned about moisture getting in. I live in the desert in SoCal so I would just put the drip trays back on seasonally.

That wiggle at 9:03 lol. zj approves new bumper.
I have a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee but I have to say I’ve always been a fan of this body style. I’d definitely like to pick one up soon.

Looking great. You're definitely giving me some ideas for my 99 WJ.
💯 all zj’s need to be trimmed in the front where the bumper slides through. That bumper looks pretty nice though

I was wondering if you had a video of your rock sliders. I really like them and wood love to put them on my jeep.
Hop you cut the bumper to match the fenders .but the ZJ is looking good. Another great video.
Is it possible to mount a flat tail base plate with a bumper like this? Leaving for a bumper that will still work with flat towing
I would be interested in those recovery tow hooks
That was awesome 👌 what happened to the hooks? I can buy them

How do the IRO Trail Tamer shocks ride?
