Change the Brush size in Photoshop CC 2020

Press ALT and at the same time RIGHT CLICK. Dragging Left or Right controls brush size and Dragging Up Down controls brush hardness (with the ALT key always pressed)

Doesn't work, by pressing alt+ctrl and dragging with left mouse button it just copies the layer.

Ctrl + Alt just make a copy of my current layer for me and drag the copy wherever I stop dragging.
From what I read in the comment, some users appears to have different default settings and if you get the same issue, the default key for what @Photo Feaver means might be a combination of Alt and the RIGHT mouse button and drag.

Just hold alt key. No need to press ctrl. I got other problem. I can't see red indicator of edge softness. All i can see is an empty circle. Any ideas?

So when i try to increase/decrease the brush, the brackets do not work. They were working before, but i think i must have pressed something, and they are no longer responding. I checked to see if the brackets worked themselves when i type and they do. So the keyboard is fine. i just think they are locked.

Thats what it says on adobe website. Maybe check you Photoshop shortcut Preferences because you might have re-signed the shortcut To something else.

The control and alt key works differently in Mac and Windows.

Make sure your caps lock key on your keyboard, is not on, sometimes that can remove the red overlay. Hope that helps

Using CC after years of using CS5. My brush and eraser tool has a round outline that I am used to be the actual brush or eraser stroke on the screen. Now the actual stroke is smaller than the outline and makes difficult for knowing where the edge of the stroke is at when touching up or erasing closely. How do I change that? Thanks..

I don’t think that is possible at the moment, but photo shop is always updating their tools. That might come in a future update
