Vacant House Fire 1/23/2011 Detroit, MI

At approximately 1:30AM, Detroit Fire Department was called to the scene of a two story vacant dwelling fire at Whitewood street and Moore Place. First engine reported that the building was fully involved, and the chief had companies take up a defensive posture. The fire was allowed to burn itself out while firefighters concentrated their efforts on the vacant house next door.

Always does. heh. Guess they really have adopted the "let it burn if you can" defensive strategy in Detroit. Can't say I blame them.
