I love how you did both dip dying a wall hanging and dying the cord itself it was exactly what I was looking for. I love the colours you chose too, your style is awesome!❤
Hello, you can also use steel wool only thing is you have to place a few pieces in a bucket with a about a gallon of vinager for a week then after about a week you have a brownish tone that you can use.
Hey, thanks for the tutorial :). I had a couple of questions... Do you need to do anything to make sure it doesn't stain the wall once dyed a d hung? Also, is it possible to use different amounts of dye to create a layered colour effect?
Is it possible to lighten a macrame wall hanging with bleach? Or will that make the cord disintegrate? I have a dark gray wall hanging I made but I would like to dip bleach it so it gets lighter from top to lightest at the bottom.
Before dyeing only the rope for project. What If I have to dye all that finished macrame project will there be problems near the knots? If it gets darker or lighter ? Pls help
If you are planning to dip dye the entire macrame piece instead of the ends which is what i did here, then yes, I would take the macrame off the dowel first and soak it in. If you are just dying a part of the macrame like I showed in the video then you just need to soak in the parts you want to dye. Hope that helps!

13:17 the black actually makes it look dark blue or almost purple ish why is that? It looks beautiful.
hi! have you made a natural dye video yet? super interested, thanks so much
Not yet! Will put that on my list of to-do's soon! I have a few colors I can definitely show!
Can I check, you just dye and let it dry? You don’t have you rinse it or wash it or anything afterwards?

Great video, been wanting to try this. Not so difficult...😊
You can do it!

This method can also be used to stain your wooden fence.

Are you dyeing an entire finished project? It may not dry out looking the same as the cord usually expands when it dries out
Do you need to presoak the entire wall hanging in hot water? Like should I take it off the dowel rod and soak it before starting the dye process?
