@@Me1odyan u can press w whenever u want during the q channeling so If I feel like I dont jist spam w+q I hold Q then before I want to let it go I press w and let go of q thus empowering it before letting it go. Or if u ask what empower means basicallt w makes q deal more dmg

Trash sound design compared to old skins
Love the concept that they made the bow an actual living thing, instead of just like a colorful bow like other skinlines
I don't hate it but I still would've preferred something that gave Varus a new dimension to his design or lore, like Spirit Blossom. The only thing that I really liked was the nod to Val and Kai in the laugh.
Varus W passive has 3 different colors, which represent Valmar, Kai and Varus respectively (imo)

I would be very cool if when he eliminated an enemy that has all the marks, the latter would explode with the theme's colors. It also needs more power on some vfx, but otherwise it's fine.

This is not what I expected for a Varus legendary, and ngl my expectations were blown out of the water. This skin goes super hard!
They should give it more effects, there are things that simply look like an epic skin

I seen some comments about penta animation. Guys penta animation are for penta champ (samira, kata, master yi, diana, pyke etc ) not a fcking varus with 0 resets and 0 AOE
Yeah but Master yi gets way more pentas than Varus and also didn't get a penta animation, maybe riot will only do these to ultimate/gacha skins
3/4 of his abilities are AoE

so good but i wish they gave him a unique idle stance, it makes the skin look very similar to base. he also doesnt have an idle-in anim, it's very snappy. but the skin is so good

I cant lie what they do with the bow is cool as hell. but besides that this skin doesnt have much that measures up to other legendary quality skins like empyrean pyke
I mean the fact that it gives varus unique walking animations and makes him overall look much smoother is good enough for most varus mains, I'd reckon

The color scheme on this specific Empyrean skin is actually clean and doesn't look mushy, well done.

In 10 years you mean? Current Varus is good enough, compared to other champs that NEED an ASU. (Teemo, Lux, Zilean, ChoCho, Malphite, Amumu, Ashe...)

@@Toxin-56 Varus is just as bad as Nocturne in terms of old model and animations since they're both ancient champs and he surely DESERVED this Legendary (not to mention that Nocturne already has a Legendary skin).

I'm just baffled by the other person's statement that "Champion with an old model shouldn't have a legendary skin" since the whole point of legendary skins is to brush up their model and give them animations, also wasn't aware Nocturne already had a legendary
aside from the chromas looking super similar to one another, the skin looks great, sounds even better

They stopped doing it like 5 legendaries ago bc they believe it's reserved for gacha skins now

As a varus main this is disappointing compared to all the high end 1820 skins we've received. Yea W-Q animation is dope and the sounds are kinda cool but that's it. For the most part I wouldn't be able to tell this from a 1350 varus skin. League never fails to disappoint.

This, I'm a support main but I love Varus and yesterday I was already iffy about this skin being 1820... now it's confirmed, he doesn't have anything that justifies this price point... like a bunch of 1350 skins have better homeguards than this, the only good thing is this WQ :/
Idk, the new rig animations look like enough for me, it ain't the best legendary sure but at least he doesn't have the same animations as base like other ones
I mean I think the animations are pretty easy to differentiate from his base animations
@69hahafunny I don't want to settle for less. Varus deserves a good 1820 skin just like the rest of the previous Champs have been getting.
Finally another skin Varus deserves! Varus is my favourite champ and for example High Noon series is so freaking good but when it comes to High Noon Varus.. it's one of his worst skins in my opinion. This one looks really nice. Glad they put love in it. Finaly. My favourite so far is propably Cosmic Hunter Varus. Project skins are also very good. But Varus is one of the poorest in my opinion. Maybe I like this champ so much that I expect more. But it could have been done way better I think.
From the trailer i thought his Recall animation theree it was Elise omg
This skin would be a lot cooler if the bow was a different color scheme and structure from the whole outfit so it doesn't get muddied. His other skins do it quiet well, Empyrean just has this issue apparent in most skins. A different outfit would really help his bow stand stronger. Shame since the bows looks fucking AWESOME but is held back by the skins uniformed look.

I didnt know varus needed a legendary skin so bad till this came out, so many champs could use more love like this instead of another lux or akali legendary...

good but missing something
there's a lack of a WOW factor. Even his W-Q animation, as great as it is, isn't quite enough. His model is lacking in vibe/drip, and the Ult just looks like a chroma swap.
It's the unfortunate problem with Empyrean skins, they all look identical and have almost no sense of uniqueness.

Personally what i want with legendary is for them to not be dropped into an existing skinline but have their own unique design. legendary just feel like any skin these days. it doesn't feel special anymore. so even if it looks good i still want something more unique to varus and no skin like it. specially for a champ who had no legendary in 10 years.

another chance to give varus a cool skin with Q enhance giving him 4 arms cause you know....Kai and his love being fused with him, BUT sadly they missed the mark again
So they just want to show the whole enemy team that your WQ is charging? It’s a very pretty skin but it’s telegraphing your moves to the enemy team in your game, 3 games after, and the games tomorrow

As a Varus otp its a robbery. Very dissappointing legendary skin for Varus. W-e animation is nice but all complete skin is more lore 1350rp skin.
this skin looks good but playing the champ with this skin will be nightmare, same goes for many other legendary skins with custom aa animations, it just doesnt feel right

I mean, it looks great, but in comparison with pyke, there's a lot missing. Pyke have a pentakill animation, two forms, his model its more immersive, I was expecting a second form for varus (since there's 3 people in 1 body)
It doesn't look like a legendary at all, just an epic skin with legendary interactions and emotes. In his character design, he looks the same as the other Empyrean skins. Kayle's design looks more legendary than his.
