What about a video explaining the uses and pros and cons for the 3 different antennas? And the one icon that looks like a cell phone tower, and the one with 3 lines above the icon. I think it's called beacon.
Subsite Electronics . Thank you. Touch on all 3 antennas and the symbol that looks like a cell tower , and the one that has 3 lines above it. Maybe beacon mode. Touch on all of the above.
Hello Randall, thank you for reaching out! Radio mode can be added to any Subsite UtiliGuard 2 or UtiliGuard utility locator. The process to add this mode will depend on the Subsite model that you currently have. The best way to help you out with this question would be to give our product support group a call at 1.800.846.2713 option 1. You can also email us at productsupport-ok@subsite.com with the serial number of your equipment and we could answer your question over email. What does it mean when the transmitter shows a picture of itself emitting what looks like a wifi symbol instead of showing the leads? And how would I change it back to MA instead of % or v?
Indicates transmitter does not have the leads or clamp plugged in and therefore operating in "Broadcast" mode. Sending signal directly out of transmitter. When using transmitter in this mode, place transmitter over intended target utility with arrows on top of transmitter lined up with utility. Signal will couple to utility making it locatable. Signal may also couple any other utility in the right of way. Can only use frequencies above 8kHz when broadcasting the signal. The meter reading will automatically change back to mA when direct connect leads or induction clamp is plugged into transmitter.
Do you have a video or resource that explains what the difference is between the frequencies and why you would use one over the other?

Great suggestions Cory! We will add those to the video production list.

Is there a way to add radio mode to a subsite machine?
