Herchers Starblazer - Building up the waltzer

- Some footage of Herchers funfair building up the Star-blazer waltzer, previously owned by our friend and part of the Slothy Vlogs team Aaron O'Connor's family. Footage includes setting the ground and some of the Miami building up next to the waltzer, Fitting the trams, gangways and finishing at the Platforms for the day
big respect to the chaps. Id say that building up the waltzer, gallopers and dodgems are the hardest machines to get ready.....
Supercar dodgem is hard going Ive done a few in the past
Done this for 5 years in early 80's.
Platforms winched back then.
Everything else was by hand.
Girders and cars was a killer as they was in an artic trailer.
Getting trams out was a finger chopper as they was old wooden type with steel top located under the paybox.
Would i do it all again?

unfortunately it was only up to the platforms, however I am hoping to catch them build up this year in May when they visit, hopefully a full sizzler build up as well

Scotland very far north, probably the furthest northerly travelling waltzer in the UK
He worked at Muir of ord. When a worked with the Batman family from Glasgow then we went to st Andrew's. And just worked our way to Glasgow great days. Who's waltzer 👍

nah about 2 days to get everything up and running and that's with all rides and games. i traveled with funtastic for 12 years always hated set and up tear down but during the week we was open it was awesome seeing the people enjoying themselves makes it worth it each time
