The OEM low beam headlight for 2016 Honda Pilot EX is so bad that i could not even notice it was on during the night. And it really do not match with the LED driving light. However, i could not find any replacement video online, thus i decide to make one myself to help you guys who might need this. It took me around 15 min to finish the work.

Are they still working 5 years later?
Well done and better than the commercial video. Really helped with the low beam replacement on my 2014 Pilot. Thanks!!
Thank you for your help
Man I can’t believe something so expensive last this short time
user32186 if it is broken, dealer should replace for free, warranty should cover it. Just go and check it out.
Thanks for BLINDING us all!!
Thsnk u ! U explained very easy
you have a different trim maybe on your 2016. I have a wiring harness directly above the passenger side light. Bracket holding harness is WELDED to body. I had to bend bracket arm just to get access. Brutally difficult.
Thanks!
Hey what are the little plastic things call that retain the screws for the air intake? and where can i get those, thanks
Do you mean the little black thing? I believe it's called fastener. Please see attached item for reference.

Thankx alot
Mine is the small too. I'm glad I found this vdo. I will be changing mine too. Idk why they made it like that. Is ugly and yes it doesn't match the other light.
I guess they want to save every penny they could.
I have the same exact LEDS both high and low and the low beams are so weak. The stock halogen bulbs were way better at lighting up the road. I need my high beams to even see good. I knew I should of bought HIDS.
Buy better quality
Can you help me to find out where is the bulb for the decoration l shape lights I had it on but know is off
sorry, i am not really understanding your question. could you please rephrase it?
How did you get your daytime running lights to flash that pattern? Thanks.
How much of a difference does it make when driving at night? I know the regular halogens on the Pilot except for the elite model sucks. Does this light cause any glare to other people in the road?
I will say there is huge difference, at least for me. now i have replaced the high beam as well. they work perfect together. I do think there is any glare for other side, since i could see the cut off, which is lower than the front car's trunk.
Yong Liang thanks so much. Looking to replace my aunts bulbs cause it's really bad so thanks for the reply.
Hey Yong, I have the same Honda Pilot as you, I'm interested in doing this. Did you have any problems with the lights over time? Like did they go out or overheat or anything?
Yes. I think the quality of low beam light i used initially was not good enough. One of them was died two months later. However, the pair i am currently using is good. They have been running well for few months.
Can you share with us the brand of the better bulbs?
Initially, i thought the higher price the better price. Apparently, it is not the case. what i can say, the one i am using now it still OK at this moment (been 5 months) , however, i am not sure when it will fail again. So, use at your own risk. here is the link. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075R9SQ5T
@@yongliang3397 how much more light is visible on the road? Is it a big difference, can you see it much brighter and clearer?
@@myetoob23 i would say it is a big improvment, maybe 30% plus (my personal feeling), especially in terms of color. But the led light did not last long time. So quality does matter.
Left low beam light area is so so so tight I could not install H11 LED bulb though i was able to remove the existing bulb. In the process I cracked the LED light cover glass. I don't even know where it went. Not starting well. This can't be that hard
You are absolutely correct. It took me some time to put it on as well. However, i was lucky that nothing really bad happen to me.
I finally did it and changed all 4 bulbs at the same time. Thanks to your video. One thing that would be of help to others is that make sure to align the slots properly between the bulbs and the housings. Some slots on the bulbs are bigger / smaller than the other. Make sure right slots are aligned between the slots on the light housing matches. Honda made the electrical connection wires very SHORT and made it difficult to snap the wires together. I feel I aged from this job. My LED bulbs also did not fit perfectly .... Many knock-out these days just do not have the right fit dimensionally. Well, it was a hard work, but would do it again.
I have question please help me.
Does all 2017 honda pilot have the led trim because I purchase mine a year ago and I see all the honda pilots and I don't see one with out that led lights. I'm here thinking that it's the dealer that did me dirty.
The exterior is sleeker in appearance compared to its boxier predecessor. Added to the exterior are optional LED headlamps with automatic high-low beam switching, LED daytime running lights (DRLs), and LED brake tail lights and the new Elite model. New features also include heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic roof to Elite models only. Alloy wheels became standard. --- From Wikipedia
Thank you for answering my question.
If you don’t have that led trim I think you have a base model.
Thank you for your video Mr. Liang. I just ordered LASFIT LS LED Head light bulbs for low beam (H11) for my 2017 Honda Pilot Touring AWD, from Amazon. I'm planning to install them as soon as I get it. Little worried about removing the air intake cover. LASFIT bulbs also come with LED driver ballast, so I'll aslo need to find the spot to tie them. Has anybody done this?
Thank you. Very helpful video.
Do you know what size bulb are the fog lights? And whats a good LED or HID for fog lights?
Hi, S S, thanks for your comment. According to the info from www.modifiedlife.com/2016-honda-pilot-automotive-light-bulb-sizes/ I believe the fog light bulb size is H8, which is usually interchangeable with H11/H9. I did take a look at the fog light. However, it is not as easy to access as the low/High beam. I will try to do it and share my video in near future.
H8 for the fog lights and h11for the low beam headlights. LEDs are better or from personal experience. I also have a pilot if u need help how to change the fog lights message me
thanks so much for offering the help, bro. I will if ever i need any help.
I was able to replace my fog lights with H8 led. Just remove the 3 screws along from the inner fender, and another hex screw underneath, from there you can move the plastic enough to fit your hand. Took me 15min each to replace.
ermeds12 it would of been way easier if you just took out the plastic part where the turn signals are. They pop right off and from there you can just stick your hand in and pop out the fog lights and put new ones in. No need for screw drivers or anything. The black things pop off with your fingers
Hey man have u ever replace shifter light bulb before
sorry, i did not get the chance to do it yet.
Yong Liang thanks anyway
Problem is the light output isn't that great. The lowbeams use a projector housing, and you should use HID's for that reason. The high beams use a reflector housing and LED's would be better in the high beam housing.
They are not bright at all, only in the high beam reflector housing. So disappointed.
「ビデオのキャラクターそれは素晴らしいです、私はそれがとても好きです$$」、
Hey Yong I have a 2017 pilot my pilot didn't come with the led lights that you have on the side. Can I get it or do I have to purchase the hole head lights.
I think the LED driving light is default on all trim. maybe it is moved lower above the fog light?
Did you go with 6000k or 8000k?
6k
The led light above the low and high beam light
that is the day running light. As far as i Know, it is the led light. You can not replace the LED strip/bulb alone. Once it is broken, you have to replace the whole light housing, which will cost you a lot for sure. Please check with dealer for further confirmation.
please show beam pattern against wall
Its probably the same because its the same projector
Go with Hikari..
Just note that most, if not all, of the after market LED bulbs will most likely fail inspection. You will need to put your OEM bulb back in prior to inspecting the car. Also while they look cool they most likely will not project the same amount of light as your halogen. The head assembly just was not made for LED lights.
it will pass inspection lol , just this guy doesn’t know that LEDs work better with reflector housings. he has a projector and HIDs work best
@@Solorah well it depends I guess on state and who is actually doing their job. In pa it should fail if you alter the lighting from whatever is supposed ton be in there. I know I passed with my led license plate lights but they overlook that. Lights though if they are not DOT certified which most aren't will fail
But it doesn't light up anything on the road. Worst outcome of any vehicle I've owned
HEREEE HEREEEE AND HEREEEE AND HERE LOL HAHAHAHAHA
