Thanks for letting me collab with you Dude! Your channel & fans are the best. This is such a fascinating topic and there are even more than we included in this list.
As a cartoonist, the Three Caballeros have always been the pinnacle of character design for me. Color, shape, dynamics, personality all working together. I love the ride at the Mexico pavilion, but I had no idea about the repurposed animatronics or their history. So glad that something of the Mickey Mouse Review is still alive. Thanks so much to both of you guys! Excellent.
My Dad wanted to take me to Disney World but sadly he passed away in 1994 two months before my fifth birthday. I never had the chance to go because I can't afford it (same thing for all other major amusement parks such as Universal Studios) the closest I will ever get is watching these ride throughs on You Tube.
I think one of my favorite reused animatronics is one of the original Figment animatronics being put in one of the Collector’s boxes in the new Guardians of the Galaxy ride, even if he is hard to spot and no longer moves. The original Journey Into Imagination may be gone, but it’s nice to know one of the Figments from that ride is still in the parks.

I rode Monsters Inc. a couple weeks ago and it suddenly hit me while I was there that one of the CDA officers was the old Drew Carrey animatronic. That ride feels so different now
I'm SURE you're right about The Redhead being a mix of the two Great Movie Ride animatronics - the Wicked Witch was so impressive but has pretty distinctive movements. Plus the Redhead is even holding her bottle just like the Witch clasped her broom! It'd be crazy for them to have let the Wicked Witch go to waste and NOT be recycled. It does beg the question though - what's the Disneyland Redhead going to be like? There aren't any other spare A-100 female animatronics hanging around, are there?
I agree that the witch was probably recycled, but it is possible it could have been sold for profit to a collector or (I doubt) went to TCM for their collection.
I have a feeling you're right with the Red Head theory. It is something I had been thinking had happened too. Due to how quick the refurb was and how drastically different she is compared to Disneyland Paris' makes me believe she's recycled. It will be interesting to see what they do with Disneyland.

Um...It’s actually the song Yankee Doodle. It’s one of those classic American folk songs that little kids hear all the time. That’s what the Barney theme is based off of. And yeah I used to watch Barney when I was little. 😆
One time when me and my family were in the Mexico pavilion at Disney world, and we heard some kid say: “ let’s go see the three habaneros!” Me and my family were laughing so hard once we walked away and now it’s become an inside joke in our house. 😆
I loved watching the Tres Caballeros segment of Saludos Amigos as a kid. Seeing the trio in a ride is something I thought they deserved, but I didn’t know they had already been in a ride.
My favorite recycled Animatronics are the Goose Droids and the Rexs at Star Tours. I really love Star Tours and I miss Rex. He was always one of my favorite Disney Parks characters. Some people have figment, some people have the Red Head, I had Rex. He was still getting used to his programming.

Disney said that the official story is that Rex got fired from Star Tours because of the whole death star debacle, and so now he's working as a DJ in the cantina
In my head I know that the animatronics in Monsters Inc were stripped of their celebrity facade and redone, but also they’re so stiff and solid statue looking I am just CONVINCED Tim Allen and Drew Carey are in there somewhere.
You might be spot on with the new Redhead being the Witch's animatronic. The timing is really good and they wouldn't let the Witch go to waste, especially when they wanted to update an entire scene with a new eye-catching animatronic.
My personal favorite is in alien encounter now known as stiches great escape. The time keeper from ailien encounter was re dressed and went from being vioced by robin williams to having a robotic voice. But the creacher that he teleports is still the same the sequencing is still the same. All they really did was change the sounds. Too bad they couldn't keep robins voice.
funnyvids13579 Same! Was starting to worry with how long it had been since I was last notified of a TPM vids video. Been years sadly since I got to visit Disney but his enthusiasm and charisma is infectious and feel some of that Disney magic watching these videos.
I think they used an existing face mold/model but used a new animatronic. Someone at Disney is probably laughing that they didn’t think about using the witch.
that's a good theory about the redhead... i was wondering what they would to with the witch since she was the first a100 animatronic ever made and it would be a waste to never use her again.
You guys wouldn’t believe me on this one but you should. So I have been having a Disney world annual pass for the longest time now. Whenever we had the electric light parade someone is randomly picked to turn the parks lights back on(since they would turn them off so the guests could see the floats). Me, my mom, and my dad wanted to see the very last parade that they where having so we went to magic kingdom. We sat outside of this “forever Christmas” store in a sleigh similar to Santa’s. Then these two cast members wearing a cap and some “mechanic outfits approach my family with a small, grey light switch attached to something like a battery on its back. They told me that they would tell me when to turn the lights off and back on. When the parade was over and after I turned on the lights they gave me a little certificate. And it was really cool moment that I had at Disney I pretty much ended the parade.(if you didn’t know I live in Florida so I go almost all the time)
That reminds me of a time my sister and I got to help open Animal Kingdom! We were standing in front of the crowd of people, and some staff members came and took us into a room where they gave us little vests, hats, and maracas. We were supposed to dance and shake the maracas, but we, being like 5 and 7, were too terrified of all of the people to do much of anything. X'D We got little certificates of those, too, in the end.
Great collaboration for an excellent, interesting video! I agree with your theory about the red head, you have great evidence for her to be partly Jane and the Wicked Witch. And with those droids I will definitely look for the webbed feet!
I was thinking, while watching this video, that those Animatronics looked awfully good for ones almost 50 years old. Albeit, I've heard this claim elsewhere, too, that they were from MM Revue.
8:52 so THATS why I had the strangest feeling of something being off when I went on that ride. Just seeing and hearing about it reminded me of the odd feeling I got when I revisited that ride a few years ago. At the time, I couldn’t quite place what it was. Man, my memory just loves to latch onto the most useless pieces of information.
There are a TON of hidden jems in the queue at star tours, like the old animatronics from the old show before they referbed it, they can be hard to see and when i was on it it took me a second time for me to actually spot them but they are there
I've talked with some cast members at Hollywood studio about the Great Movie Ride, and all of them had agreed that since the ride closing, nothing within the great movie rides building has been touched/demolished/removed one bit, not even the vehicles have been removed, much less the animatronics. So I have many doubts about the wiked witch animatronic being used within Pirates. But good deductions none the less!
Unite Productions Completely false. The ride was gutted within weeks. There were photos of props being removed. A new ride is opening in the space next year.
I thought that wasn't true. I will go investigate but I think I remember hearing there were rumors of someone being decapitated that were fake. I'll post again after looking.
Okay found that answer. A staff member greeting guests to the the show was moving on the stage during it and got crushed to death between two walls. She apparently stepped too close to the stationary part of the stage when the show started and "became caught between a rotating wall and a stationary one." I don't see anything about a decapitation, though I guess it didn't go into too much detail on the state of the crushed body. It's still very sad though of course
When they changed from CoP to AS, they also changed the direction of the building’s spin. CMs would sometimes lean into the gap to say something to their counterparts before the gap closed. This poor young woman was doing just that when she was caught and crushed (NOT decapitated) between the walls. Guests would ask CMs about it until the attraction closed. Also, the intro/end Sam the Eagle was recycled from a certain creepy creep who just returned to his old haunting grounds at Disneyland.
CheezeeHobo this is a videos showing animatronics go from one attraction to being recycled into another, the yeti is just a static prop, and isn't a part of the main attraction
I feel like they did reuse the red head. But if they didn’t they must have touched up some of the parts on the animatronic and reprogram the movement. I still think they reused it. Very good topic keep up the work
I went to Hollywood Studios the other day and chatted with an employee who used to work at the great movie ride for 3 years, and he confirmed that Red and Jane use the same mask! He also told me that most of the actors and their families were given their respective animatronics.
Actually, the wicked witch from the great movie ride was not recycled into the red head but they did use the wicked witches programming for the storm trooper for the new ride in Walt Disney world.
That goose was really cute, but, it was turned into an evil droid named Irene. She originated from the real-life analog horror tape, eclipse. Just like Irene the Fork.
I don’t understand why the heck you’d ever get rid of The Country Bear Jamboree in Disneyland, it’s my favorite attraction in Disney World. At least we still have the original show! And I think Japan has a Country Bear Jamboree show too.
I agree. While I like Disneyland's Pooh ride, it belongs over in Toon Town or Fantasyland. (I never liked the placement of Splash Mountain either, such a cartoony thing in Frontierland and so close to Haunted Mansion.)
Great video guys, so cool to see you two collab! Man, I still wish they didn't change the Red-Head animatronic. Like seriously, they're PIRATES, not your run-of-the-mill men. Of course they're gonna do devious and immoral things!
Fact: Once there was a woman (idk her name) who was on the America sing I think she was a hostess and she was 18YO and she got crushed by the rotating walls
On the Winnie the Pooh ride : my sister was obsessed with Winnie the Pooh so we went on the ride (keep in mind she was 4 when this happened) she cried because Winnie the Pooh was spinning. Her explanation is that she didn’t want him to get hurt.
I dont know what it is, but lately ive been obsessed with animatronics, especially the star wars ones at Disney (probably because I LOVE Star Wars). But hearing the history of all of these animatronics is so cool! Im really impressed with the technology and how it works.
Static Misery me too! I’ve really been getting into the Circus Playhouse band, and I even found some original blueprints for Chuck E. Cheese animatronics
I thought I heard that the C-3P0 and R-2 D-2 in star tours at Disneyland were the original props from the movies. Would those be considered recycled? I guess they weren’t at first ‘animatronics’ but I think they should be an honorable mention.
This Collab Is one of the collabs i wanted to see like a dream but i final came true U guys did awesome with this collab and i hope you guys do more in the furture keep bein awesome :)

I feel like they did reuse the red head. But if they didn’t they must have touched up some of the parts on the animatronic and reprogram the movement. I still think they reused it. Very good topic keep up the work
Disneydan sounds like my old vice principal
maybe he is
Heh.
Back to class Cece.
Disney Dan
Oh no.. my vice principal is back XD RUNNNNNN...YOU’LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE!!
He is.
OMG I'm going to Disneyland this Tuesday and I'm so excited
I went to disneyland paris last summer
DEAR GOD IT WAS GREAT
These videos are amazing! Thank you so much for sharing them!
I went to Hollywood Studios the other day and chatted with an employee who used to work at the great movie ride for 3 years, and he confirmed that Red and Jane use the same mask! He also told me that most of the actors and their families were given their respective animatronics.
Wow this video was like the best video you have ever made! ❤❤
It’s so great that you got DisneyDan for this video
Yeah, I am a real get. haha
Reduce
Reuse
Recycle
Redo
😁
hope mail 4R
Actually, the wicked witch from the great movie ride was not recycled into the red head but they did use the wicked witches programming for the storm trooper for the new ride in Walt Disney world.
Really? awesome!!!
I didn’t know the Snow White ride shut down. I loved that ride
another cool reused animatronic i see is that the jungle cruise spiders in the the temple used to be in the haunted mansion
This is a new one, never heard that!
I personally think the redhead thing is just a coincedence
Steven Maiorana. Yes she kina not look the same
3:04 is my favorite one
o
I have been on star tours like a million times and never noticed that the droids in the queue had duck feet!
thanks for letting me copy with you dude your channel and this such a fantastic topic and he’s in and they’re more than we included in this list
The Heffalumps and woozal scene is just a acid trip.
Yeah, I couldn’t sleep for a week because of it.
Wow cool video and great explanation great video and UA-camr.

BLACK BUTLER
That goose was really cute, but, it was turned into an evil droid named Irene. She originated from the real-life analog horror tape, eclipse. Just like Irene the Fork.
This summer I went to Disney land and I had already gone to Disney world so now I actually know what u are talking about!!
Loved this video! ❤️❤️❤️
Hey Its Lexi me too💖
Im felling under the weather right now but your videos are making me feel better already!
Fact: Once there was a woman (idk her name) who was on the America sing I think she was a hostess and she was 18YO and she got crushed by the rotating walls
My favorite is The Three Caballeros
10:06 I can hear the music they used for the Ed, Edd, n Eddy game, Cul-de-sac Smash.
Those Disney animatronics creeped me out and I know in the animal kingdom bug's Life theater talk flick and the roach were actually the animatronics
He does not do honorable mentions
“Even the hooves of the mighty buffalo-“
