  • Oil filters in some of these side-by-sides are really tough to get your hands on! I couldn't budge mine and damaged it with a regular oil filter wrench. UTVs like Massimo, Bennche, Hisun, Coleman, Tractor Supply brand or Yamaha Rhino Clone UTVs have the same setup and using an oil filter wrench like the one listed below could really save you!

Next time get the K&N oil filter, it has an external nut so you can use a socket wrench to remove the filter.

Great video ! I have 3 filter wrenches and none were able to off the filter of my Hisun 500 UTV. The old 1940's trusted flat head screw drive did the trick.

Hey thanks Mauricio! Much appreciated! Yep that flat head will take care of it haha.

Hey, first I just wanted to tell you that I appreciated your video. After I got my Hisun 500 and took a look at where the filter was I've been dreading the chore of trying to change that filter without some kind of filter wrench that will work. Just ordered the tool you recommended for my Hisun 500 spring oil change and am confident it's what I've been looking for after watching your video. Will try to update this comment after I get the job done. Thanks again, Man!

Hey Tim, thanks so much for your kind words and for checking out my channel! Your Hisun should be pretty similar to my Massimo. Best of luck with the oil change👍🏻

@@mountainbuck I finally got around to getting the oil changed on my Hisun 500 UTV, unfortunately the tool did not work on my unit. The jaws are too thick to fit under the oil filter. Oh well, it was worth a shot.

We need more UTV videos on explaining & showing in detail how to do things. I own the 2020 Massimo 400EFI or called Bennche 400s Cowboy. Nice job & great video.

How much oil did you add? The hisun 500 utv manual says it calls for 1.9 litres

The manual for my Massimo Alligator 500 says: Oil quantity: Without oil filter cartridge replacement 2.01 qt (1.9L) - With oil filter cartridge replacement: 2.22 qt (2.1L). Hope this helps and thanks for watching 👍🏻

Yeah man. They put these filters on way to tight. Way way to tight. Thankfully I own 9 different filter wrenches🤣. My smallest and oldest did the trick. Also had to use my Milwaukee 1/2 inch impact to loosen the drain plug. The must have the hulk doing assembly.

If you put a little oil around the oil filter o ring when you install the new filter it will come off a lot easier.Nice to have a father in law that will help in time of need. Also nice to see you adding more tools to your mountain buck arsenal.Looking forward to the next one.
