As Churchill used to say, “KBO”, brother! ❤
You need to do a comparison of the 2 types and show the light output side by side.
I'm going to need a link to all three watches, G bless
Good day to you sir . Have you got any opinion on Brandon Herrera running for Congress?
@@markhowards420 no king but Christ
The dude at Coleman who insisted on using the metal wire to attach that small pamphlet over a plastic tie is sitting somewhere right now with a huge smile on his face.
White Gas Lanterns reminds me of my late Dad and all our Hunts & Camping trips ❤
"Pure Jet Fuel... or Kerosene..." I'm 30 seconds in and I already know Wrangler isn't going to catch himself on fire. No PRO-HO would do such a thing. 😁
LOL, with three watches you ought to be on time!
Cody does have ice on his wrists… those are a whole glacier
Like a child at Christmas....
@Official_Wrangerstar Er, what did I win ?
cool
Cody.. I should gift you my OG Coleman green lantern from 1976. It should go to a proper home and not my garage. edit: need more watches lol
I have four I could send too
I’ll take one
I’d love to have one if your giving it away.
I have 150+ Coleman lanterns in my collection up here in Canada. I love the kerosene ones!
Me: "hey Cody, how many watches did you wear today?"
Cody: "Yes"
Me: What watch you going to wear today cody?
Cody: yes
$igma gorillionaire rule #69 wear three watches so you can keep track of your grind
Got to keep up with east coast time
Thank you for posting regular videos. I know youtube is pushing shorts and live sessions are a great deep dive for certain viewers, but this is my favorite format and is why I started watching the channel years ago. If I see a short I will watch it, but I can't commit the time to watch an entire live session. That said, I never miss a traditional video. Thanks from a grateful viewer.
I never watch shorts. Ever. I've unsubbed to many channels who stopped doing full length videos for shorts.
I also prefer this format
Agreed!
That left wrist is a little light. ProHo needs 4 timepieces at all times. Act accordingly.
The triple-watching is something to behold. Love your style Cody! Don't even sweat it.
I wonder if he still has one on his ankle.
@@willjohnsonjohnson yes, it matches the pocket watches he has in his pants!! LOL
Never trust one watch
Weirdo
This is how the U.S. forest service lights a coleman lantern in 3 time zones
Lol
Cody, as a retired US Navy F/A-18 fighter pilot and now a Captain for the world's largest airline I can tell you that lighting that Coleman lantern is more complicated than cranking an airplane. Nice job, and thumbs up my friend, from South Carolina.
Thank you for your service. God bless you and your family.
Well, horn's working, now checking the windshield wipers. 😆
just saw this video and made my decision on the new propane model..easier to refill and fire up 😁
This is the Wranglerstar I subscribe to years ago. Well done Cody.
I miss the old homestead videos of Cody cutting firewood, grubbing and cleaning up old forest.
Haha that watch trolling is awesome I always see comments on Cody wearing 2 watches today has 3
Cody, thank you for peacefully uniting, and helping so many young men. You, and your family are in my prayers.
If we ever see Cody in shorts we'll have an ankle-watches reveal 😂
Multiple time zones to keep awareness of global shenanigans. 👍
Anyone use regular unleaded gasoline in their Lantern? I have one of the dual fuels and only use gas in it.. but not sure the difference within the lantern
I do,
Yep all the time, much cheaper than white gas
1) Light the mantle Separately before you do the alcohol reservoir, the mantle finishes out better.
2) 6 hours on HIGH and 8.5 on LOW.
I have been retailing and repairing Coleman lanterns and stoves for decades.
In general, not a bad intro.
Also Svea and other basic, old school cook stoves.
Night Driver.
He did put massive words over the video to say he got the 2 numbers mixed up...
I have a similar Coleman lantern that runs on 1 Lb. propane cylinders that I used for the first time a few weeks ago during a power outage. I never knew how bright they were. Such a fascinating piece of old technology.
Many thanks from the Heartland.
On behalf of my children: ‘Why is that guy wearing THREE watches?’.
(I shrugged my shoulders and said ‘guy’s a crackhead sometimes 🤷♂️’).
I'm 51 years old and, I remember using a Coleman lantern, with my Dad and, Papaw, as early as I can remember. I still have my Papaws and, my Dads lanterns, my son and I use, while camping or hunting. My favorite lantern has to be at least 75 years old and, works perfectly. My Dads 85, and used it as a boy, with his Dad. I miss my Papaw but, love making memories with my kids, my son and daughter.
Thanks for your videos.
Everytime you light something it's like we're all there lighting it with you.
Minds will be blown with 3 watches on duty today....love the set up
The hiss of the Coleman lantern is an unmistakable sound . It brings back many memories from my youth . Sadly with advancements in battery and lighting technology, they have disappeared from most campsites and hunting trips
Kerosene has a much higher flash point, which makes it safer but we know what you meant. Sorry to be that guy. Thanks for the PROhO video, I like this style of video.
Alternatives for Isopropyl Alcohol would be Methylated Spirits or Bio-ethanol.
The Bio-ethanol is the better choice, because it burns cleaner.
6.5 on hi, 8 on low (burn times). You got them backwards at the end, great equipment Cody
I have this lantern and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I use this lantern every chance I get. You just have to be patient while the generator heats up or you'll blast liquid kerosene into the chamber and soot it up. Filling and lighting the alcohol is easy: just intentionally spill a little alcohol on the flame shield and dribble it to the fill hole. It's way easier to light with a match or lighter that way.
I shopped for three years for a new one of these and finally Amazon had them again. I also have a couple old 1920's Coleman gasoline lamps that are all lacquered up from decades since they were used. This fall I'll be cleaning them up and lighting my shop with gas this winter.
I've never seen that model. Very interesting.
Thanks!
I'm loving this series! It brings me back to the Wranglerstar of old. These videos give me the fizz!!!
Going through a hard time, being forced to take a three month unpaid leave from work. Actively looking for work in the meantime.
Wranglestar videos help keep me less stressed out. I'm gonna work hard so I can hopefully live a life like his one day. That's why my UA-cam channel says inspired by Wranglestar and has for years. I'm not only inspired from the content but the lifestyle. Take care Wranglestar.
Thank you. Hope things turn around for you soon.
@@wranglerstar Thank you!

@@miroslavmajer5155 Thank you sir, that means a lot! God bless you too.
Enjoyed by an Irish subscriber. I am amazed by the price of your Kerosene, here its about €1 a litre, $20 a gallon is crazy even by European standards. Your Coleman is an incarnation of the German Petromax, whose founder invented the "Incandescent Mantle".
You can run the old duel fuel lanterns on kerosene too. Just heat the atomizer before lighting. I use diesel fuel in mind in the summer and gasoline in the winter. Stay frosty sir.
Here in the US South Kerosene can be had for about $5 per gallon at rural fueling stations.
The watches are good fun and all but could you do a walkthrough of the cahinsaw box (all in 1)???
I had one of your videos open on a tab on my computer for a couple of days. I just went to watch it and it was gone. Do you upload all of your content on any other site?
I’m still using my Dad’s white gas Coleman from 1958. Never been rebuilt. Incidentally my gas and mantles are 9 years old and still work great.
The white gas Coleman lanterns can be converted to use kerosene.
How??
Well, if you consider replacing the Generator, the Fuel and Air Tube (also described as a complete rebuild) I guess.
@@dancoleman8467 there are writeups online and youtube videos detailing how to do it.
@@cnrienzomy coleman 200 only really needs a preheat cup to convert it. The air/fuel ratios arent perfect but its still almost the same brightness.
The level foolishness is baffling. Do not copy these actions…be smarter than that
Every time you say "Elk Hunting", my mouth waters. Best meat you'll ever eat!
Hey, where are all the snow plowing streams. Can’t find them,
I make it a rule to never trust a tall barefoot man with three watches, a bandana and a toupee.
The Ford bottle is from the 70's. The prefix of the part number is D3AZ, which means that, this type of gear oil was released in 1973.
Came here to say this. Can confirm!
I have a 1962 coleman 237 that runs off of kerosene!
I have a Seiko Tuna as well, but I must say,.. that Marathon watch is DOPE !!!
I belive White Gas has a pretty long shelf life as well. But I came here to say that Coleman will still service their stoves and lanterns if you send them in they will refurbish them. It's a great and rare service these days.
I get that old time Wranglerstar vibe in this one. I won't lie, I don't feel that way about all your work anymore. But this is the good stuff. This is where it's at. Just an opinion.
What a complicated piece of .........to add starting fuel and light. Tilley made a better lantern in the middle of last century. I got mine second hand 45 years ago, and its still running fine, and way easier to light. I even have the original lighting block and the lighting fuel jar you store them in. Try denatured alcohol for lighting, iso is annoying.
Denatured is much better than iso
A third watch. Haha. Sweet.
I was amazed when I opened the box of a kerosene 201-700 1978 lantern at an estate sale three weeks ago to discover it had never been fired up. Also got the never opened and fired up 425E499 1978 stove. WOW what a find.
What's more important for a Proho to have two alternators or tthree watches?
7:55 using that needle tipped bottle to try and fill the alcohol pre-heater cup may work before the mantle is burned but for every burn after, that mantle is just ash hanging there and one little accidental touch from that needle will DESTROY the mantle. Any hole in the mantle will produce a flaming hotspot inside the lantern and that will, in turn, cause the glass globe to fracture.
Flash point correction in the offing? 😂😂😂
Pyro-Ho
What happened to all his live streams? 😢
Google the channel name 😬 I presume that. Freakin stupid 🙄
Awsome video Cody
This is how the U.S. Fire Service ensures job safety... #highlyflammable #firebug
Cody get you a Birth Month and Year lantern. Enjoyed the Light Up.
Growing Up in Rural Brown County Ohio we had kerosene lamps every room of the house and candles everywhere. Every time there was a thunderstorm it was likely we were going to be without electricity. We also had a woodstove for auxiliary and backup heat. And there was a well with a hand-crank right in front of the house.
We always had a couple of these when camping. Thanks for the memories.
With proper care, Coleman lanterns can last almost for eternity. I have -and use- a 1950’s 237 with the nickel fount. “Sunshine Of The Night” indeed!!!
Bro! 237s are a beast! You can't beat them as a kerosene lantern. They'll put the new 639 (in the video) to shame!
@@joshuaharrington6094 especially with the Peerless mantles 😎
Good thing you got the asbestos hair piece on.
Overflowing with danger, charisma and masculinity - what more could anyone want from a youtube video! Keep up the great content bro, god bless!
I’d like to see a side by side nighttime comparison of the lanterns and the light they give off.
(GONE RIGHT)
i was distracted by the 3 watches the whole video hahahaha
I think this may be my next lantern!
I have a collection of antique kerosene lanterns (think Dietz and Feuerhand) so, even though it isn’t an antique, it may be a cool addition since they run on the same fuel. Thanks for the video!
I just found a Petromax 827 CP200 from 1937-1940 in our old family cabin. It has nice patina and is valued between $300-$450. 😮
$300-450 is a NEW price. Keep looking, that dang lantern is ALMOST priceless...
@@cnrienzo Ok, so maybe more. Anyways it's not up for sale. 👌🏻
@@TH-bj1pb cool
Another great video, Wranglerstar.
I love these things!!!! Awesome!
How can it burn longer on high than low.
Still loving this series. Just like the old days
I like your boxes, and the way you did it works well enough, but when you make your next one you should mortise the hinges in. Even if you don’t mortise them the hinge plates look better on the inside. It hides them and makes it more secure if your doing a locking box. No access to the screws from the outside. Just a thought.
3 watches? This guy is so weird
Oh no. I accidentally clicked a Wranglerstar video. Now Im gonna get spammed. Has he even seen a lantern before? I guess nothing changes.
What time is it??
Time to "fire up" the Coleman...
Very cool, a kerosene Coleman lantern.
Only ever used the white gas one.
Fyi, 3 is an odd number.
Just saying..it's...odd.
coleman has been making kerosene lanterns for 80 years.
One of my favorite lanterns! One stays on my desk all the time.
" My kerosene lantern..There you have it " Gentlemen ".
As girls walking by with 1500 lumens LED torches.
I love ALL Coleman lanterns!
What part of paranoia makes you wear 3 watches?
I’m sure it’s a good reason.
Why the three watches?
Don't be embarrassed over setting yourself on fire...I did it twice while working deep in the five-mile-long Hoosac Tunnel in western Massachusetts.
This man shouldn't be allowed to play with anything fire related. Sheer genius having an open flame right next to 2 cans labeled GAS!!! Coleman products aren't that rare , Cabelas and Bass Pro Shops both sell them. This would have had more affect it the demo table was in a shaded area and not in the mid day sun. One more thing and ill quit ribbin' ya. Whats with the 3 BIG BEN watches that youre wearing ?
Only real Prohos wear 3 watches. Love it. Keep it up sir! I'm dieing to know why? I'm a big watch guy myself.
The Mantles are actually coated with a powder, the initial firing burns the silk away and converts the pwder to a ceramic like structure. this structure when heated incandescences to produce more visable light.
Ive got a propane Coleman lantern, and now i want to build a storage box for that, maybe have the bottom store a spare 1# cylinder
I especially enjoy the trigger with the watches. Trolling at its finest. Anyone remember them USPS boxes?
They give of a great light, and heat, and smell. So, use where appropriate. You can't get away from that kerosene burning smell.
Attention to detail. Brilliant. Lamp is impressive.
God bless brother and your family. Amen.
My man, what is going on with your watch situation? One for local time, one for GMT/Zulu, and one for...? Proho home zone?
So, I first saw a red Coleman kero lantern in a pawn shop and didn’t buy it- years later I ordered one from a Coleman outlet it was cheaper than from HQ-
I bought it in 1995, and have never had to replace the mantle and I used it for more than 10 years of being a scout leader.
Kerosene models use a special mantle , it’s not as easy to find as the regular ones, which will work, but won’t last as long.
We always used those ones, and Hurricane lanterns in Scouts back in the 1980s. We lit the pressure lanterns with methylated spirits.
These older designs are so much better. I'm in the middle of waiting on parts for a 1967 502 stove. The modern battery and gas cylinder ones are just trash for longer term use.
"A man's got to know his limtations," Inspector Harry Callahan. Magnum Force.
Really should go find yourself a 1950s Coleman if you want to really do it right. I have a few I'll sell ya. I'll even go through it and clean it up for you.
Have been used the double mantle and the single mansell Coleman. That is the best on the market by far fantastic. 👍🇺🇲👍🇬🇧👏
Dang 3 watches. I know you do it to troll the haters but i might start wearing 2 watches lol. It kinda makes sence. Say one hand is full or you cant look at that watch, boom you have a second. Great video by the way Mr. Wranglerstar
