While calculating purchase consider via net payment method, we don't calculate debentures as debenture holders are not owners of the company but in problem #1, you've taken debentures as well while calculating purchase consideration

Doubt: Why bad debts written off (before being taken over by purchasing Co.) not subtracted from debtors in realisation a/c of vendeor co. though it is subtracted from debtors while calculating of purchase consideration.
