    Another fun fact, the early league pick order was determined by ELO, so if you were last pick, you were the lowest rated player on the team. This was a great unintentional feature.

    • @Max465
      @Max465 2 роки тому +167

      That sounds like a terrible feature. Not only does it punish someone for just not being as good, but then it also 9 times out of 10 puts your worst player on support. Might as well make a giant neon sign that tells the enemy team "Just target the support, they're the weakest link".
      Thank god they removed that.

      @@Max465 Yes, the worst player should definitely have priority and be expected to carry the game...
      You may not want to admit it, but the roles do not have equal agency over the game, and giving the players in approximate order of skill their best chance to carry the game was a good unintentional feature.If all of the other players on the team are better than you at their best role, why should you force them onto the role with the least ability to impact the game to accommodate you.
      Plus you could always request a swap, and while not guaranteed, people were often enough willing to try and accommodate. You got a fairly regular distribution of games and it was good that you didn't get to be so picky and actually learn the entire game instead of 1/5 of it.

    • @tatooine_dream
      @tatooine_dream 2 роки тому +3

      its true. i put something crazy like 70-80 hours into a week of the New World beta. And then i studied data, writeups, was compiling my own min - maxing guide etc.
      In the beginning I just wanted to play a new MMO, revisit some childhood vibes and I wanted to be one of the OG's this time, at the top of the apex.
      Well, after that experience, and even buying the game, I never played it. I never even played New World on launch.

      t's funny that this is the general consensus. The average player (silver-plat) is nowhere near optimized. Watch any vods of gameplay at these levels and you will realize what im talking about. Junglers are doing suboptimal clears which are now less punished by the scuttle changes. Laners have no idea how to manage waves and how or when to ward. Jungle pathing is not really tracked or thought about. Bot lanes still lose to lvl 2 rushes even after playing for 3-4+ seasons.

      @@tatooine_dream New world was super fun the first few weeks but maybe you also realized how bad the game was designed and that there wasnt really anything to be excited about when playing the alphas/beta. The competitiveness is partially what makes it fun but you are right, if you play the hell out of something you will get bored super quickly if you dont try to enjoy the process, take that with any MMO literally. However, I do think that the issues the game had is the fundamental reason as to why people didn't enjoy it.

    I've had several games where one player would get tilted because of one bad gank i did and they would just follow me around the jungle stealing my camps or telling the enemy in all chat where i was at all times. No ammount of reports or tickets you send to riot will get them banned and i truly dont understand why

    • @anthonyfaiell3263
      @anthonyfaiell3263 11 місяців тому

      Because that would require that a living person actually review the game. They can't be bothered to do that.
      .
      They have automated systems for banning, and those automated systems cannot track trolling mid game. They can only track keywords in text and compiled reports. So if you type "ni***r" or "ret**d" in your very first game upon starting your account, you will get immediately banned because automated system CAN pick it up. If you int and troll, automated system will only pick up who reports you. And a single report or group of reports cannot result in automated ban because of false positives.
      .
      So by nature, the automated system will be inefficient for cases like you mention. You just have to wait and hope enough people report them so that the automated system passes it's set limit of reports to auto ban.
      .
      Not saying human systems are perfect too. There will often be the "moderator syndrome" where that kind of power can go to peoples heads. Then tack on Riot probably wouldn't want to pay these folks too much, which could affect the amount of integrity they put into their work. My main point here is that automated systems are doomed to fail by nature, but they are the cheapest way to make it look like they actually give a shit and are doing something.

    I have been playing since season 2 and never intentionally left a game. This year around February I just couldn’t take it anymore. I ran into a troll who inted my game back to back and harass me in chat. I reported the player in game and submit a ticket. Nothing was done. I ran into that player again, I left the game and haven’t play the game since. Probably would play again, but playing Lost Ark atm is a lot less stressful. I didn’t sign up to play game to become stressed and deal with toxicity of ruining gameplay and competitive integrity. Too many people grief and leave games. Ranked game mode is suppose to be competitive, but it’s a complete shitshow. Guess I don’t have tolerance for that anymore after 10 years. Riot had many years to address and improve this issue, unfortunately they decide to let the game rot. The gentleman's agreement to never care on a serious level always exists, and it is a games quick play environment. To absolutely nobody's surprise, this also happens to be the biggest crapshoot of toxicity.
    It is entirely possibly for players to play as they did before, throwing caution to the wind and trying whatever thing sounds fun in the moment. The vast majority of these players just want to do so in the curated environments filled with players who DON'T want to do that. Why? Because the environments that share their interests in not caring tend to be lower quality.

      That is an entirely incorrect statement
      There's a difference, see, there's people (a lot like you I'm sure) that want to "try whatever thing sounds fun" but have no clue how their idea even works. Then there's people like me, that got flamed for Sion support, reported and actually got a punishment for doing so, despite having an above average winrate and 9 out of 10 games I was executing well. Wasn't until a korean player started doing it did I stop getting flames and reports for playing it. I tried a new thing, knew how it functioned and executed my idea.
      The problem is you get people that take Yuumi jungle because they want to try whatever sounds fun, but they have no idea how that works. They get executed to their first buff and start ganking lanes when they're level 2 and the rest of the game is averaging level 6. They couldn't even be bothered to open up a practice tool or custom game to practice the jungle route and people like you lump me in with them.
      I'm not asking for try hards, hell I don't even care if you're a bad player really. It's the effort, the playing, it's about whether or not I can consider you a teammate, or somebody selfishly entering my game to see if you can figure out in the span of a game if a champion/build is viable. At least _think_ about it before you queue up, it really ruins it for the people that actually know how to execute new ideas.

They get really eccentric and will decide that the game is over as soon as the smallest thing goes wrong because they expect their games to go as well as the cherry picked ones their favorite UA-camr put online to show how good he is.
      With the popularity of eSports and lol content creators most people play for those games where they destroy everyone and get multiple pentakills because that's all they see online. It's kinda like how incels have unrealistic expectations of women because of what they see in media. Lol players have unrealistic expectations of the game or the climbing experience so they are not ready to put the effort to win games. They want to win, they don't want to play the game. My reason to quit was that the game is rigged by the matchmaker. If you won too much, the MM would put you with horrible teammates vs great players, making damn sure you would lose and keep that 50/50 win rate. And when you lost too much, it'ld start balancing the game in your favor. Who wants to play a game where the result is decided in advance?

    • @SherrifOfNottingham
      @SherrifOfNottingham 2 роки тому

      The more you win it puts you in higher ranking games (where you are not skilled enough to compete) and what's worse is the system is doing that to a lot of players, so occasionally you get put against players that deserve their rank while getting teammates with inflated ranks like yours.
      The 50/50 winrate is a normal thing, the match maker will want to balance you at about 50/50 winrate if it's doing its job right. It's not a target, but a confirmation that the system is indeed working. Expecting to win more than half your games is a delusion where you believe you belong in a higher skill level than you are.
      Are games won and lost fairly? No, you've got 4 teammates and 5 opponents that are human, make mistakes and play inconsistently. You could lose a game because you're not good enough to overcome the shortcomings of your team, but you'll also be carried by one of the 9 other people in that match sometimes. The best thing to do is ignore the win/loss and focus on having fun at the game, I have 60% winrates with this mentality which is a pretty good winrate for any PvP game.

      The company is the one that puts so much emphasis on the competitive scene and playing to win. The entire game is designed around that. Losses feel god awful. Once you fall behind, you have nothing left to do but hope your opponents suddenly start playing like shit for no reason, which almost never happens. You are practically forced, by design, to try your damnedest every game to hopefully avoid that. That's where "telling you how to play the game" comes from.
      And another point, does it really make sense to blame everyone in this community of tens of millions individually? Does it not sound more reasonable that the company of a couple thousand that run the game have created circumstances that make people behave this way when it's this widespread?

    About autofills;
    It should be a toggle-able option, not a thing to have to deal with.
    Or even remove it, i think it can be replaced by a system where you select a list of role that you want to play.
    -If you want to mid only, you pick one role, mid. This will get you longer queue time, but you'll get mid
    -If you want to play mid but are fine with top or supp, you pick 3 roles, mid top sup
    - if you want to play supp or anything, select 2 roles, supp fill.

    I think if league judged your MMR (which should be directly tied to your rank) off of your individual performance (at least in solo queue), the game would be much less frustrating. It feels terrible playing great, getting ahead, close to perfect CSing, showing up for everything you need to show up to and then still losing because one of your other lanes just ran it down. If I had the highest gold, the most damage done in the game, the most kill participation, the most objectives, etc, why do I lose LP because of how some other person performed in my game (which I have absolutely no control over if I get paired with and how they perform). Solo queue is just poorly thought out and almost designed to be frustrating and limit individual agency which naturally leads to frustration.
    League obviously has the metrics to track this stuff after seeing the challenge system, it's just a matter of implementing it into the ranked system. It would feel less futile and frustrating when you get bad teammates too and I think people would try more. You can see people's morale go down and they just mentally check out when you get one of those "guaranteed to lose the game" lanes with your bot or something. Suddenly if your individual performance matters, people would try no matter the game state (which would also make more "unwinnable games" winnable, funny enough). Fix that and they fix league IMO.

As someone who really enjoys playing other lanes and applying mechanics to other contexts, I'm definitely biased. not knowing how to min/max a game is almost always the best period of the game. I can't think of any examples where this isn't the case.
    I think MTG card game was ruined by people willing to pay thousands of dollars to make their decks the strongest possible, when the best way to play the game is with limitations on a incomplete set of cards and figuring out creative ways to make the most of it. That also makes bad cards fun to use in interesting edge cases you will NEVER attempt without a limited card pool.
    Once I start to understand a game so well I can predict what im going to do minute to minute for like a whole hour or game session, thats the point where it often stops being fun. I don't really agree. I have trolls in my games, but most of the time (I'm a support main) I feel like the matchmaking system is testing my nerves. Too often, after 3 to 5 minutes, I have to manage the botlane on my own because the ADC sucks.
      And most of the time, people don't understand why I do this. Like, dude, haven't you seen our Tristana's last 3 deaths ? Haven't you seen that she never hit good timings ? Haven't you seen how she's just a useless gold vacuum who won't be relevant, even at 6 items ? I've won countless games by basically getting all the farm and exp solo bot, ending up outdamaging everyone in the team.
      But this isn't how people are supposed to play. I don't fucking know HOW there can be such level difference in a game, when I can practically solo win as a support while another teammate can't do shit even after I fed them any resource I could during 10 minutes. I'm in fucking gold, where the playerbase is the largest, and the matchmaking STILL can't find people who have the same level than me ?
      This is depressing, and I uninstalled the game because I couldn't stand fighting agaisnt my own team, trying to explain why I'm the one farming, that I'm not trolling and I just want to win, and I can't trust our fucking ADC who doesn't seem to understand anything about the game and has done worse than nothing.
      League is not a good game, just an addictive one. I think Yuumi could be a healthy enchanter if they made her W into her ultimate, similar to what they did with Twisted Fate's ult. They would have to change her Q a bit and could probably give her a small CC on her W instead to fit the "enchanters have minor but reliable CC" mentioned in the video, but if they made her ult only able to attach to one person for a few seconds it would turn it into an interesting tatctical choice of whether to buff the diver for better engage, buffing your frontliner for more tankyness, or buffing an ADC or assassin for more damage (dps or burst). Then it would also make her relatively easy to shut down, because if she can't change who she's on, then CC'ing one person is killing two birds with one stone, giving a good risk/reward feedback loop. And if she really needed to do something while attached and CC'd she could always cancel her ult and jump of them at the risk of getting killed for being squishy.
    It would also delay her being really hard to punish early game and create better counterplay. She would probably need some minor buffs to health, and the stat increases on her target would need to be more for it to be a proper ultimate, but I think it's an interesting idea.

      I think the problem with banana launcher soraka isn’t just winning, but autonomy. Suppose I am playing a carry in ARAM and I have a an AD soraka on my team. The reality of the situation is that the enemy team will focus their efforts and CC on killing me-reducing my autonomy-because the AD soraka is just not a threat. If the AD soraka were an AD Lucian, for instance, this would not be a problem. If the AD soraka were a support soraka or a tank, this would also not be a problem. But playing a champion that is closer to being AFK than a meta champion is makes the game more like a 4v5 (which usually isn’t very enjoyable, no matter what you are playing).
      I have no problem with people playing for fun, and I think you are within your “rights” to play AD soraka if you want to, but I think it’s worth recognizing that some styles of fun will decrease the fun other people have *regardless of whether or not they care about winning*. Just some food for thought.

    Yeah the most exciting thing for me when I played league was the Champion collection it self since it took me a long time to know and get all of them. Each champ I buy with the hard earned IP I got was a new experience to me. Just playing them as I like, disregarding their role to the game was the most entertaining aspect of the game for me, buying champs by their looks rather their strength and potency. It took me 3 years to effing find the role that fits me and where I excel at (Top lane). And those three years where irreplaceable, from that point where I started to understand and win games was where it all started to either bit by bit. Knowing the "Nitty gritty" of thing was where I learned that every game is a flow that you need to follow, minimizing errors to win started to become more of a chore rather than a game. All building up to the point where you realize your doing a task rather than playing the game, where the micro is overruled by the Macro.

    Yeah it is. The gameplay has gone to crap because we have 160 champs. People say they can play the game but only play 1-5 champs. The new champs in last 2 years specifically far eclipse the champions that came before them. If they weren't OP, they wouldn't sell. It's more profitable to keep churning out champs and then trying to balance out 160 champs against each other after the fact. No one with an ounce of intellect would do that without knowing they will make more money. They just raised the prices of everything on League. They aren't out to make a balanced, competitive game. They are out to make money. Balance is a secondary, unimportant objective that only needs to be addressed when it threatens profits.

    Doublelift is so dead on on the not knowing part of fun. The game becomes unfun when people create meta. Game developers should remove or at least decrease the rate at which knowledge is thrown out. Let's say in league. I've been saying this for so long but practice tool made the game metaish. It's so unfun. The fun part about league is when people try to discover and we played games while we discover. Games are unfun with metas because meta means repetitive set of rules. People back then played games while discovering new stuff and not just copy pasting build and strategies from pros.

    In dota the option to choose any sort of role doesn't even exist when you're above 7.5k mmr (which is rank 2000-2500 ish in EU), you can see everybody's rank both ingame and during select and it's the ultimate whatever the returning the shopping cart morality test is called. People "usually" give higher mmr people the roles they want but some games you'll just have some carry or die dead inside pos 1(""adc"") player who's 4000 mmr below the other guy who wants it firstpick it resulting in both getting counterpicked and usually having someone infinitely better in the enemy team playing their pos 1. Still I prefer having to actually learn to play THE GAME instead of learning to play THE ROLE, I didn't get to rank 300 in dota by learning to play 1 role, I got here by spending 15000 hours and slowly improving at every single role (which are all infintely more diverse than league roles)
    Also in terms of champ balance it's hilarious how stuff like yuumi works, dota has a hero called Io, or wisp, which is basically a yuumi which is a squishy ball that tethers to a hero and has to move inside a pretty small aoe, a ball which can actually be focused down, stunned, silenced, interrupted, blinked on and engaged on so you actually have to position yourself properly in order to have effect, while yuumi gameplay seems to be sitting on a champ and healing off cooldown.
    And while I think dota is a way "better" game than league (even though if you're in here you probably disagree and that's fine), the problem is that both the skillfloor and skillceiling of dota is soOOOOOOOOO much fucking higher than it is in league, when I was coaching newish players I honestly told them you might not get to have fun until you've played 500-1000 hours of the game, which genuinely sucks, while on the other end league is like babby's first pc game for the reason that it's so easy to get into.
    also holy fuck league has 230 champs

    Promos are so dumb--with the nature of soloqueue having a random Bo5 thrown in is completely useless for determining skill. It is great at making it take longer to climb which keeps people playing the game more.
    Also, on the discussion of powercreep, I think one competitive game has done so well with it--Pokemon. It suffers from powercreep like other games, but can regulate it's competitive format in a way that can bar some of the worst offenders. There are pokemon who definitely push the boundaries and make older pokemon obsolete, but there's nothing stating that those pokemon need to be allowed in any meta that comes after their release. Pokemon just doesn't always manage their competitive scene for months on end, but even the worst offenders of powercreep aren't nearly as oppressive in other games. 20 year old pokemon still shine in many formats, and brand new pokemon can really suck as pokemon doesn't like to make every single new thing competitively viable.

    League has become so streamlined in how you HAVE to play, there's no room for any kind of experimentation, and to me, I miss that in the game. Anyone remember the craziness that was AP Yi waaaay back when? How Zergging one lane used to be a somewhat effective tactic? Not anymore, the players as well as the company, have done everything to remove most of that creative play from the game. To the point that if you don't play a specific champion in a certain lane, or with certain Spells or with certain Runes; it's trolling.
    Personally, I always wanted to try packing Smite mid, to help the jungler and have more counter jungle play, as well as possibly more control over Herald and Dragon early on; because if I'm winning lane, and push up to enemy tower, what else is there for me to do? Sure, I could back to base and buy, but why not try to steal dragon with bot and jungler, or steam a camp from the enemy jungler? I think it'd give more pressure on the enemy jungler, but most people don't think about that; they're just so stuck on what is meta or the norm.
    All-in-all though, to me, the playerbase makes up the game, and if majority of that playerbase is toxic, tilted, trash; then to me, the game is that as well.

    I started playing in 2010 and thought it was a ton of fun watching my friend playing Lee Sin with his shorts and long hair skin, making ninja noises, and I was into it.
    Never been out of bronze, I go on lose streaks like crazy, and I'm still really bad at the game, and have played less than 500 hours in the 12 years since I started.
    But man. It always feels like I'm playing at the worst times, right after big changes. This durability update seems like it just made already durable champions unkillable, and squishy champions.. slightly less squishy. Watching an Illaoi one-shot half my team and go from nearly 0 to 100% HP in one attack is mind-blowing, and incredibly frustrating. Watching a Yorick faceroll his keyboard through every single top tower before 20 minutes because he bought Hullbreaker is incredibly frustrating. Watching my LP going down as much as it goes up in two games, is incredibly frustrating. Never once seeing the promos to silver screen, is incredibly frustrating.
    And that's what this game has become for me, and I suppose what it has been for a long time now. Incredibly frustrating. But, I still play, because I'm a masochist.

If a person gets caught inting (REAL inting, not just a bad game; for example, they recorded the inter, or multiple games getting 0/10/0) just get him a 1 day ban, if he insists anywhere between a month after the ban, you get it up to 3 days ban, next 10, 15 and perma. I wonder if removing the MMR system would work to battle toxicity. It's a weird idea IK but if a person's MMR was no longer treated like the holy grail, and instead received a set amount of LP for a win or loss, I feel it could go a long way to changing the outlook on how often dodges happen, because of how players will dodge to protect their MMR. Or people queueing up tilted out of their socks could potentially happen less because you could no longer brush off a loss like you can now, with MMR allowing players to gain 20 LP a win and only 11 or so with a loss.

    I think one of the best solutions that Riot could implement is a CASUAL game mode. Something where you can't be completely stuck inside a match if you suddenly need to leave or if you aren't having fun in the match. Somewhere people don't take it too seriously. Even regular normal matches people take it as seriously as ranked! I'm a try hard diamond but I like to play normals with friends to have fun. But, people take it too seriously and riot encourages that. By not being able to leave the match without getting punished, you create this motive that your match absolutely matters. It's practically the same thing as ranked just without LP, so it only effects toxicity by a few percentages... I feel like ARAM also suffers from the same issue. I think the "casual" game mode should be something like CS:GO casual lobbies. Something you can leave at any time and have someone else take your place. Something that doesn't feel like a commitment. Something that allows you to play the game however much you want. Something that allows you to try as hard as you want without it actually mattering at all. No match history, no constraints, nothing. The problem is that there's no way to create a true "casual" experience like fps games. Most fps games have a deathmatch mode that doesn't care how many people there are, so you quit the game it's whatever. And if the game has a round system like csgo and R6, you can just replace the quiting player next round, so thats even better. None of this works in league because the nature of roles/champs/gold/exp/map doesn't allow players to join in the middle of a game "comfortably", and there's no "reset" like a round system to fill players in. So Riot would have to create a new gamemode from ground up JUST to have a mode where you can quit. And that it's definitely not worth the effort, considering that full casual players already play Aram. Also, the "tryhards in unranked" are not necessarily Riots fault, its mainly on the players, so adding a new gamemode would just move the problem, not remove it.

      @@pedrohenrique-db3xd Yeah, just imagine an ARAM gamemode where you can change champ and have infinite gold and you can leave at any time and have someone else take over.

    Here's the problem with this game. At this point, if you've played for 12 seasons, like me for example, you already know the game inside out. The problem is when you're in ranked and you see people that don't know what they're doing and they ruin the match for a player like me. Now the thing is, most people will not be like me and they'll instantly turn toxic on the newer player. I get inters every single match and it's infuriating, but I don't turn toxic on them second one, not unless they intentionally run it down or they're extremely bad for their current ranking.
    The problem is that this game's ranked system doesn't properly separate good players from bad players because of how it's designed. The system is made to hold you down and not everyone can play for 12 hours a day to get out of the win,win,loss,loss loop. It doesn't matter how good you are if 4 of your teammates are feeding and this has happened to me every single match this year.
    If it's a new account, you should start iron. If it's not a new account, but you've been to gold, start gold. If you've been to diamond, play a few games with diamond players and the system should know if you deserve diamond or not based on your kda, cs, tower damage,etc., stats combined.
    Then there's the other problem: Champion balance and design. It's atrocious, the newer champions in the games are extremely obnoxious by design, they have massively overloaded kits compared to older champs. Let's take Udyr for example, even after the rework, he still feels BAD. I've been playing Udyr for years and I was expecting a proper rework, instead they... I don't even know man, they made him feel worse to play, at least for me, but they made his kit overall stronger.
    Also, we have items, don't get me started on Death's Dance, The Collector, Zhonya's and many others... AND true damage, remove it from the game already, it's ruining it. Also nerf % armor penetration and %hp damage, it's stupid and makes tanks be unable to play their role properly at some point in the game. I mean 400 Armor 4K+ HP into full AD teams and you can't tank more than 3-5 seconds? Brother that's absurd, there was a time when a tank could tank up to a minute, that was good and how tanks should be, low damage and massive TANK potential. But now instead, we get massive damage on tanks and much lower tank potential. Now let's take my current favorite champion, Kayle, she's extremely weak early game unless you're into certain matchups where you can win level 1, and scales pretty nicely with items until level 11, she's actually pretty balanced, but the problem is exactly that, she is balanced compared to the rest, she gets blown up in seconds before she can do anything most of the time. She was a really support champion until they nerfed heal and shield power, now she's even weaker on a role she was not really supposed to be on but people were making it work before that nerf to the items. Game feels bad from all points of view, the damage is just absurd nowadays.
    Then we have hitboxes. Blitz Q, Jinx W, Thresh Q, Nautilus Q, Jhin E, they're all good hitboxesm but their actual abilities are dislocated from it and hit you when they CLEARLY MISS, they just snap onto you.
    Then there's the problem of "loss mitigated -8LP" ... brother... why is a mitigated loss not -0 LP instead !?
    What this game needs is season 3 back, champions weren't massively overloaded and the champions that were overloaded were not many; the ranked system felt much better as well at the time.
    At this point I just play the game because of nostalgia, I'm still obviously massively addicted after 12 years of playing it, but I'm really just waiting for the Riot MMORPG and fighting game they're making xD

    So basically the biggest problem with league is that it relies on the assumption that your teammates are all playing at their best, all trying to win, and all agreeing to work together. Then, in the event that this assumption is not true, the league system is not equipped to deal with situations where there is intentional hostage holding, griefing, and toxicity, because they need to leave room for freedom of choice in how people want to play the game. The thing is, many other games also face this problem, just to a lesser degree due to their game design. For example, Fortnite which is more focused around solo play and performance. What compounds the issue with league is that it also feels like they removed a lot of agency from the game. The old adage of "just be good enough to carry" doesn't really apply anymore. In fact, there are instances where even challenger and pro players can't carry griefers in a silver game. The real question for all the game designers out there is how do you fix a problem like this?

  • @CrowleyRises
    @CrowleyRises 2 роки тому +1

    The main problem in my opinion is the griefers and leavers. I have never cared about people flaming me. Like mentioned there is a mute button. But people continuously leave games and the only penalty they get is saying they agree to not do it again and then they continue to do it. There is no punishment. The amount of people that either leave after dying once or griefers after a death is so large. I have been playing since season 1 and honestly it's not fun anymore. I only get a few hours a week to game now and there is always someone ruining at least one game. If it's my first game in a while I just quit again and take another leave for another game.

    Reason that i play very little or not at all, its no feel of progress, its pain to win lane almost every game, but to have 0-10 bot lane in 15 min and lose game... , not to mention perfect jungle games, you know when you clear, gank all the time, collect dragons and heralds and still lose// and how i gank 3 times top, and player still lose lane, e p i c ... so when i lose 1 game i have to win 2 in order for something to happen, that its 90 min for maybe progress, so even if you played best game ever, you get little or no reward, that its only problem with game

    Game is too “teamplay” heavy so now once your teammate is 0/4 you give up and run it down cause you know it s gonna be a 4v5 game and you still lose 21 lp regardless of how well you do . They need to change LP/ELO rating if they want people stopping running it down every 2 games

    Will riot need to eventually put in a champion rotation where only 60% of champs are available for a patch or two and then it rotates so that too many champs aren’t available and it switches up the meta. Or will they just need to increase the number of bans that each player gets

    • @tristan9565
      @tristan9565 2 роки тому

      They wouldn't do either and neither makes sense to do. You could play the game with 0 bans and the game won't feel any different than it is with bans. Because there are many champs that do the same thing. Sure you can ban yuumi every game but the game is t much different if ur opponent picks sona Lulu soraka. You can ban zeri but jinx ashe kog maw do very similar things. I recommend playing where you ban no one the game won't feel any different. Doubling bans just removes content from players and makes the game less diverse same with restricting champion pools the game becomes less fun for everyone imo

    One thing I disagree with is promotions. Promotions may be frustrating at times, but they encourage a player to try their best to win. This is something that is definitely lacking over the last 5 years. Most people treat ranked like normals.
    I understand it is bad when you get trolls in your promotions. Therfore riot should matchmake people with others in promotion as often as possible, to give the best gameplay experience and sence of accomplishment.
    They also need to find more thematical ways of separating normal games from ranked.
    One way of making this happen would be to change the appearance and bring back the old ranked select music. Many of the community agree that this music is fantastic. The music was allegedly removed because it made casuals nervous. This is a good thing. You should feel that ranked is different going into it, so you try your best and are not too relaxed that you want to play yummi mid, or full ap ashe to waste another players time.
    There are many more ways of solving these issues, but the couple I have mentioned, should be a good start.
    If you read all of this, you are a legend. 🙌

    I really like how shit this game has become, I've started in 2010 and quitted in 2015, came back in 2020.
    Last month i had a "cool" game in which we had enemy team 5man premade who:
    -racism, homophobia, death threats, ddos and doxxing (after game)
    I wrote, keep in mind that was everything that I wrote in this game "Dont be an idiot, dont chat with em" and post game "mundo"
    In this game I got 14 day ban and that was my first ban, best part, no one else got banned, even though I wrote a ticket about my ban and questioning why no one was banned, no proper response besides unappealable.
    Also if you get banned, a new lvl 30 acc can be bought for a whole 1$ or less on any server

    What this game needs and will fix it for more and make it more fun. Is simply more maps to play on. It gets tiring playing on the same map over and over. You can keep one map for ranked but for normal que I see no reason not to have multipole maps in the game.

    gotta say, recently i did "rage quit" a game of league ranked, it was flex full team, halfway through the game ish, for some reason my PC (11th gen i7 8 core hyper-threading, rtx 3080) gave me 10 fps instead of staying at 144. so the "rage quit" that i did was literally force shut down my pc and restart, got back into the game, it fixed the problem. why do i say this? because i believe that if communicated that you have issues that you normally dont have at all with your almost brand new computer, its basically one time off and shouldn't really be harshly punished if punished at all. sadly a lot of people I've had that discussion with say don't play ever if that is even a slight possibility can happen, so i say then, should no person ever play? because it can happen to everyone at any time. those that dont even communicate and do actual rage quit often i do agree should be punished more than what riot and other developers dont do.

    For seasons I don't understand why there is not more type of punishment for players who are inting and ruining games. The general argument is that everybody can have bad games, lose streak, bad day, etc not a reason to lose account over it undermining hunder-thousand hours of play times. But why act like permanent banning is the only solution. Disabling ranked queue for these players, normal queue, for a short period, x days 2 weeeks etc. They can still play with friends, or ARAM, or other game modes, but preventing from ruining ranked.

    Call of Duty Cold War had this issue, casual matchmaking had SBMM and you would probably see >80% of the lobby using the exact same load out because it was perceived as “optimal” (and sometimes it definitely felt like it was in a league of its own)

    Yuumi is my favorite champ (the character not the champion design. She is just too cute to delete!) and TBH I wouldn't mind them reworking her so that she can only be attached to a champion for a limited time. Maybe make her attach be her ultimate and have it last for like 6-7-8 seconds and have a 60 down to 50ish second cooldown. Then her normal abilities can be changed a bit like making her heal into a small aoe that is buffed in range and power when attached and her Q would be the same as her current attached Q, but only have the slow when she is attached (maybe buff up the duration of the slow too since it is only there when attached). Then maybe put her current ult on her W but narrow it to like a sona ult size and only give her 4 waves so you actually have to position when using it and when attached, it widens and gets more waves. Her general stats would have to be buffed a little as compensation. Her move speed should be buffed to 345, her health should be increased slightly, and mana per level should also be increased a little. Boom, Yuumi is fixed!

    How League should be developed:
    * Remove most of the useless champions.
    * Focus on bug fixes
    * Improve those few champions, and other QOL
    * Listen to community and update most requested
    * Add popular game modes more frequently.
