Pumping a septic lift station all night

Lift station was in failure with possibility of overflowing all night. Spent the night in the pump truck ready to pump it down all night if needed to avoid having raw sewage spill out.

Been there, done that. Worked for Utility Company for 15 years. Was pumping out a lift station that had a double pump failure at 2 oclock in the morning. A sheriff deputy came up and asked what I was doing. I told him, what's it look like, I'm stealing crap.

The city of flint had a pump failure at one of their pumps closest to the pumping station, a mop head got all tangled up in the pump, a company came from Chicago to replace the pump since it was installed in 1952 parts were not available.
