Fantastic. Do you think Ruger could add a few more little tiny pins and small parts to the receiver in order to increase the chances that you'll lose one and make it more labor intensive to break down and clean? THANKS!! *goes back to using a single punch to break down his AR-9*.......
@@highspeed9518 Uh....no. An Ar requires that you push ONE damn pin out with whatever you have. This requires TWO separate punches, a screwdriver (!!) AND a mallet. Screw that.
I wish Ruger would bring out an integrally suppressed barrel assembly that you could just swap out for the regular barrel assembly, maybe even do it like the MP5SD barrel with bleed holes to reduce round velocity to subsonic levels.
9:15 pm you make no mention in this video that you must pull the slide back locket before you remove the barrel please include that information. Thank you.
When I work on my guns I not only make sure they are not loaded and no magazine. I also evacuate my entire street and the streets around my home by 16 thousand miles! Then I know it's totally safe.
You are a true patriot, sir. Sometimes I consider ejecting the round in the chamber but, I usually keep things interesting and admire the random holes through every wall in my house 😮
What is keeping the barrel spacer from falling off once the barrel assy. is removed? I didnt seem to have a problem until I removed the barrel from the hand-guard and re-assembled. Now it falls off regularly every time I break down.
@@donkeedic4451 Thankyou for your response, but I'll clarify my question. With the barrel removed from the receiver, how is the hand guard removed from the barrel?
@@nirod555 ok. I did a search and theres a 6 minute video on youtube when you search "pc charger handguard". It shows how to do it. I was going to summarize it here but theres lot of detail when removing it.
I'm so glad Rugers run so well with sloppy spray in lubrication, because I will be doing this exactly once and only once in its lifetime.

This exactly.
I was trying to decide if I wanted to get this or the CZ Scorpion and just watching this made me decide on the CZ
Lmao its not that bad, you guys should see some other rifles and guns, but seriously this is not much more that a full breakdown of a ar15

It's not a battle weapon it's a plinking gun, like I said this is easy compared to some guns
I remember watching this guy with my grandfather when I was a kid. I hope ruger pays you well sir.
Wow! So glad he had on those safety glasses, I’m I right?
That screw dose come out I've taking it out three times

I want an 8” barrel on my charger. 6 1/2” hits hard, 8 would be amazing. Hey, I’ll go for 10.

Well, that's not too complicated. Bahahahahaha. Love the weapon, hate the disassembly.

Those 2 pins will fall out by themselves. They are very loose.
Thank you Thank you! I love all my Rugars! But I came here to install a new trigger so I was hoping you would've shown the trigger disassembly.
Ruger has had the problem of designing a simple disassembly with every single one of their products.
10mm Pretty Please ???
Nice video, thankyou. One question though, how is the barrel removed from the hand guard?
I have the same problem and question
Lock the bolt back so chamber is visible. Then you can remove the barrel. It doesn't work if thr bolt is closed.

Wish they offered it in 40 s&w.

Ok just did this for the first time and I’m ready to sell my PC charger. Great video. Horrible design.
