- Shown at the Ranger ball in Savannah in 2000 or close to it. On Oct 11, 2008 I was asked to change the audio to a less fitting song due to some kind of infringement. That is why you cannot hear people talk. Oh well. Original songs were;I Dissappear (Metallica). Mission Impossible theme (Limp Bizkit). I don't make any money from videos. I just put them up for amusement. I did not make this video. It is from 1/75 Ranger Regiment. The two second out of place thing at the end is "Judo" Gene Lebell. This was one of my first attempts at cutting a video and I messed up.
The good ol days at Hunter wearing the Black Beret
D Co and A Co
It was nice to see my old guidon C co 1/75, and the old commanders in the vid, I actually saw someone I knew from Grenada. Shinseki never should have taken our berets away from us, too much politics, not enough killing....out.
HHC 1/75 ATW!
My dad was in Grenada as well Ranger
Just reflecting on the past. Just lost my mom last week. The time served in battalion taught me strength and fortitude . I’m a simple man but I learned to carry on because of being a ranger. It made a better man out of me ! We are only flesh and blood 🩸 humble but strong. Rangers lead the way 🇺🇸
Lost my wife to cancer, in all the years she was sick the creed kept me focused on my duty to love and protect her, I understand your pain brother.
I was never in any Ranger Bn., but I have tremendous respect for those that were. I was Mech. In. 93-98. I was out 8 years and then re-enlisted in 06. Went in as 56M (1-187th IN. OIF07-08), reclassed/ re-up for 11B (09-11 OEF10-11). Now medically retired. I missed the days of wearing starched BDU's and shining black boots.
I served 3 tours from 2001 to 2010 with the 75th Ranger Btn, I still have not came Home!
Rakkasan!
🤙
Those were the good days, back in the old barracks... no rules, all common living areas, and nothing to worry about other than training for war. Damn I miss it. RIP Davis, Dahlke, Sanchez, and Hario. I'll see you on the flip side. RLTW.
Wish music like this was still popular.
The original music was Metallica, but had to be changed. Metallica ain’t cool like that.
Memories. Aco 1/75 93-96 🇺🇸💥
It was the Army Chief of Staff Eric Shinseki that gave the order to change the Rangers' berets to tan and adopt black berets as the garrison headgear army-wide. Though uniform changes are part of being in the army, seeing pregnant women and fat f-ing legs walking around post with black berets took some getting used to.
Ellis Reyes, Gen Shinseki is tabbed out too...WTF
B Co., 1/75 Feb78-Sep79, tabbed 8-79, 61 years old and it still pisses me off. Still have my black beret from Bn and when a RI 85-88.
@@CaptainBadChad Imagine that.
Ernest Paul was Don Lamica in B Co. back then?
I was at Hunter 80-82 HHC 260th QM. Use to see these guys humping around the base in full gear year round. Man, respect for what they did then and now.
I was a medic in C Co from 96 to 99. Weapons and later 2PLT. Surrounded by the most grounded insane people on Earth. 🤘
Sua Sponte brother.
back when the "Black Beret" was given to rangers only!!
When only airborne qualified personnel wore berets!!!
maroon = airborne
black = Ranger
green = special forces
Shout out to the Rangers! , but Long Live 82nd Airbourne .
The black beret was not given to me. I earned it and I wore it proudly. Yes, it is given out now. But you are on the right track. SF earn thier green beret. And Rangers have the tan now. But both Rangers and SF earn thier shit, it is not given to us.
This is a great tribute to a great unit. It makes me proud to see this since the 1st Bn was assigned the Lineage from my Company in Vietnam when they were activated. C Co (Ranger) 75th Inf (A) First Field Force Vietnam. Also when we were formed in Sep, 67 we were the only Airborne Long Range Patrol Company (240 men) in the Army...E Co (Long Range Patrol) 20th Inf (A). On 1 Feb, 1969 the unit became C/75/RGR. "SUA SPONTE"
Nothing like a good ole 'Ranger Smash' video! I used to love singing Ranger songs on the drive out to Stewart... it was the ONLY time you could talk shit about your team/squad leader as long as it rhymed! And then of course you got to the range and your feet were elevated on the only vehicle out there haha.
Damn ness this give me goosebumps brother! Miss you roommate!!! A/T all the way!
How are you! I put some A/T vids up also of us at the range.
Good old days. Will never forget my time In 1/75
It was wild back in Savannah in the day
Man I love this video. There was another one out there of 90s Rangers from 2/75 set to Metallica’s Wherever I May Roam which seems to have been deleted from YT.
It’s crazy to see the same training events I participated in being done to the same standard with just older equipment. Love this shit.
RLTW, A Co 1/75 2016-2022
Thanks for posting this Jayson....I remember those days and when this was filmed ...miss all you guys
R.I.P Sanchez, Katzenberger, plutino, and "Benno"(the best warfighter K9 to ever walk this fucking planet)
Back when it was hard.
Batt life is still hard, just in a different way. Dufflebag Drag says chicks will be in the regiment and to wait for it. It is one thing to graduate a kickass leadership school such as Ranger School, it is another to survive career-wise in a Rgr Bn. I say this because you are looking at officer types that would be applying for platoon leader and company commander slots. It wouldn't take much to have them fall on their faces through efficiency reports (OER's).
💥
A Co.1/75 - 1974 (They call me Jingles)
As a member of the 1st Batt 75th infantry, you are privileged to carry the unique pride inherent in being a Ranger. Pride in being an especially selected and well-trained solder. Pride as a man. Pride as an American. Pride in succeeding while others weakened and failed...RLTW
Hey Ranger, I was in A co 1st batt in 75. Ft Stewart with Andy Bell, Jimmy Jones, Puppy Winslow, Shane, Sgt Hopkins, Sgt Callahan, Sgt Mims, Dobesh, Dickerson, Dickey, Terry Perry. Which one are you. Kelley out.
A Company 1/75 3rd platoon. I'm in this video a couple of times. RLTW
Wow..that brought back some great memories. Some faces looked familular.
I remember Savannah very well
Gave me the Willies watching this. Is there at least one thing the Rangers do that would not scare the daylights out of the average human. Higher, Faster, Heavier, Harder. Great to see so many highly motivated and fit individuals serving their country.
I was in Bravo Company of the First of the 75th in July 1974 when we first organized. Things haven't changed. I miss the fun.
Airborne!
Bat Boys back before Shinsekie decided to give all soldiers a trophy beret so that no one would be left out and could feel like they were all "EE-lite soldier boys and girls. Nope couldn't pick out another color but had to take what was already a distinguished symbol and make it common to all.
Boy you got that right
"Limp Bizkit" held the rights to one of the songs. I was forced to change the audio because of that. Someone else created this video at HAAF for private use. I just thought it was great, and worth posting on youtube but did not consider infrigement rights. To keep the video on youtube I changed the audio through an option provided by youtube.
I’m 49 and have been out of the army for 13 years and this video makes me wanna drop and do 50.
You’re a drive on kinda guy!
I saw some familiar faces. Sgt Hong, SSG Cahill, Spc Meyers, Spc Raymos, SFC Merritt, LTC Votel, 1sg Turner. RLTW!
1SG Helton... 1SG Van Cleave... Both Bco 1SGs.
@@rbarbetta1978 RLTW Brother
@@CaptainBadChad All the way!
I was there from 90 - 95 and I was in B Co 1/75 until 94 and spent the last year in Bn Commo.
Back when all that mattered was how much you put out while wearing green. Elite we're truly elite because they put out just that little more than 100% than those who didn't and earned the Tab, Scroll, and Glory
RLTW. God Bless
I have this video (Bco 1/75th 97 to 2001) and if I remember right it was made back in 99. I'm glad to see that someone put it on here. RLTW
Would you be willing to share a possible google link of the original video...with music? My two boys would love to have a copy, their Father was part of the 1/75th from 1996-2001. My ex and I use to own a copy but over the years it got lost in all the moves.
Ahhh yes, the days of the RIP'd and Black Beret'd Batts.
Man, memories... Thank you, for all the hard work. C co 1/75th
Such a different army
Back when we owned the Black Beret,
LEAD THE WAY
Rangers make me proud to be American.
marines think their basic training is like ranger school....there's not much you can do to prevent them from talking shit just punish them for it.
renegadekav ranger school is different from being in the regiment
It is .... this video is about the 75th rangers not ranger school these guys go though rip or they call it rasp now
Recognizing that I "VOLUNTEERED" as a Ranger....Rangers lead the way....all the way!!!!!
corporations, man.
the new song fits this video nicely regardless. I was surprised the originals were removed. awesome video, btw.
Pretty cool that I am in this:-)
They didn't show the 3 to 5 hrs. Spent waiting on the tarmac. Needing to piss like a horse before waddling to the transport for jump
How true, rigged up, laying on the flight line,, waiting for the birds, wishing I had taken a dump before rigging up. Ouch
A US Marine Paratrooper / Rigger back in the 80's volunteered for Ranger School-all I got from the OiC was: " wasn't Boot Camp enough for you?" "You want to get smoked again?" My quiet demeanor with a smile on my face was the answer. Refused. Still got my Air Assault training in for vengeance years later.
True heroes on the front line facing evil in the lights that you have never seen
I had a city week before I started Ranger School 1st class of 1974 they would serve apple fritters in the morning best I ever had! RIP CSM Donald Wingrove C company 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger " Ranger don't need no bridge"
Original songs were;I Dissappear (Metallica). Mission Impossible theme (Limp Bizkit) . Sound had to be removed due to complaint by owners of Limp Bizkit music. I make no money from videos so I'm not sure why they would complain.

@@carollawson342 I will find a way to link you to an original version.
the good old days with the black beret
Iwas a ranger, if your not in the army yet then train
your ass off, if you are in the army, then train your ass off
You guys make me proud!!Anytime fellas, I'll back you guys up anywhere!!!!!!!
Freakin awesome. There was another Battalion vid with Metallica - Wherever I May Roam but it’s gone from UA-cam now.
Regiment produces more senior leadership that any other unit of comparable size. My old CO, retired as a 0-9 in charge of the pacific. Frank Wiercinski.
B Co. 3/75

God Bless The Ranger Battalion
RANGERS LEAD THE WAY HOOAH!!!
This is a squared away video. It brought back some good memories. RLTW
Indeed
And what some of them see with them children some soldiers cry I feel it
Rangers, - the edge of the United States' Military Sword, so proud to have a cousin in the Rangers.
@CrosseyedSniper I was in 3rd PLT B Co 1/75 94-97. I checked out your channel. If that was you lifting weights then I didn't recognize you. The only snipers I can remember from back then are Grove and Sidote. And I didn't really know them. Only saw them from time to time. Since you mentioned Spizzo I guess you were in 2nd PLT for a while. I probably wouldn't recognize very many of those guys from back then but I miss them/it.
Marc Anderson at 5:34. R.I.P.
Spicer! Hope you're doing well Ranger Buddy!
song is "torn" by creed
1/75 born and bred, '03-'07. Good times, RLTW!
Shout out all the rangers past present and future.
One for the airborne ranger on the sky
🪖👊🏼🙏🏼
Sua Sponte!
Great Vid. Applied 2x..denied 2x. Bad knee, couldn't get past it. I was SERIOUSLY Bummed. Managed to get a slit for Air Assault @ Ft.Hood. We had nearly 500 on Day Zero, and only 112 of us got our Wings. Hardest thing I ever did. There were a few Rangers who were going thru and only ONE didn't make it. No idea what happened, but I didn't see him @ the end. To ALL you service Men AND Women server our great country...Thanks and be safe.
1st 75th 1976-1978 here.
Hurrah!!
The cooks! Could go to any training and were bad asses themselves, forgot about the cooks!
"judo" Gene LaBelle doing some wrestling move. I burned it onto the same disc and didn't stop it in time. It is definitely out of place with this video. sorry. it was my first time making a video for youtube.
RLTW
Yeah seeing the black beret where it belongs warms the heart. They never should have taken fromwarriors and given it to pogues and wannabees. Ranger up!
Nice work on the video: RLTW
Great video! Shame they took the Black Beret from the Ranger and gave it to the rest of the Army and stuck them with tan. Should have just gave the regular Army tan. But I guess it doesnt matter about hats... but it sure made me feel proud to sport that black beret.
1st Ranger Bat. (92-95) Hard Luck Chuck Also known as Cell Block C
when i was in (2 years go) we were allowed a more relaxed hairstyle than regular Army. neck hair, sideburnes and clean face were still a must though...
It's crazy this video was uploaded in 2006.
Ranger cooks lead the way!
Hell YEAH! 1/75 born and bred.
RLTW.
k.
The black beret was the best. Oh well.
This inspires me. Thanks for the video....
yea..don't quit. and do what ever they tell you to do the best you can and the fastest way posible.
You're goddamn right on that one brother. There is ONLY ONE place to be and that's 1/75!
this is a kick ass video,,,,,,I don't care who you are!
one of my favorite fucking videos...
By the way, you do realize that SSG Beilich's 3rd platoon ruled!
Rangers Lead the Way!
First one is Take A Look Around from Limp Bizkit
and the 2nd one is: I Dissapear from Metallica ;)
High and Tights are gone with the wind since 2002.
SFC Meyers was my platoon Bco Weapons platoon.
RLTW!!! Good job Brothers!
TO PROTECT AGAINST ALL ENEMIES BOTH FOREIGN & DOMESTIC!
RLTFNW!
My father was in the 1/75 airborne rangers from 83 to 84
Pretty neat video, looks very well made--wish there was better video quality though. Definately Pre-9/11 with the black berets.
Put your knees to the breeze!!
Rangers Lead the Way!!! Hoorah!!
Nothing like home guys, HHC 1/75th RGR (A) BN. (89-92) RLTW!!!!!!
Aco 1/75 1st plt Weapons Sqd 96-99
Same
It's still awesome without the talking. You can appeal the use of the original music. Tell them it is not for personal gain. You aren't getting any money and it's a short video to honor the Army Rangers. I had them do the same thing to me but they changed their ruling after I appealed.
This is definitely old because Rangers now wear tan berets, am I right?
Yeah. Rangers went to Tan berets in 2001 I believe...
Does any of my fellow 1st Batt wariors know what ever happened to Doc Donovan?
Doctors without borders comes to mind. I think I recall hearing he went there.
What's with the Pro Wrestling at the end of the video? Thats's some old school Rocky III "Thunder Lips" type stuff.
Cool Video BTW.
RLTW
When were you in B 1/75? I was there July 77-July81.
Feb78-Sep79 B Co. 1/75, Cls. 8-79. Good times and bad times, but would never have done it any different. Enlisted straight for the Rangers and had a hell of a ride in many ways. Someone mentioned the beret fiasco, I'm 61 now and it still pisses me off. But then that intestinal fortitude and self-discipline instilled in us, kicks in and keeps me from doing something my family would regret.
Limp Bizkit - Mission Impossible theme
Yup by Limp Bizkit....
ohh it shouldnt be so they are damn good soldiers risking their lives they deserve more money
hey who are the best piad in the amry and marines (without counting officers), i heard scout sniper was one of the best positions
Good vid.
"Sua Sponte"
Rangers Lead the Way! Spc. Michael Brown Cco 1/75 96-99
