If u want help i can tell u how to do it. Theres also bunch of thread as well. 9thcivic.com/forum/threads/adexternals-2012-honda-civic-reverse-backup-camera-diy.6538/
Ik this video is a bit old but do you know if this can also do Android Auto? Also I noticed you used the camera on the secret menu for it but will the normal camera still show when you put it in reverse?
Yes it will work with android auto and im pretty sure that ur back up camera will show up when in reverse. i think the reverse camera will over ride the secret menu screen. Btw mine didn't come with a back up camera cause its the Canadian model. We get heated seats instead of the back up camera on the LX.
@@killaz5729 Hello, could you help me please. I have installed a simple rear camera which connected to iMid Civic 2014 LX with the harness from the kit. The camera works ok actually but only in the hidden menu. Yes, this is Canadian model:) I heard about the difference between US an Canadian models iMid software. Is there any tricks how to make it workable in normal screen mode? Thank you in advance

So first thing is that u need rca connector to ur imid harness. U can either buy the imid harness that has the rca connector or u can wire it in ur self. My suggestion is to buy the harness. killaz5729 this would work on trims without a built in camera already. Because it won’t have that camera option in the settings you used to activate the CarPlay. Right ?
I got the controls working with my bluetooth media remote to navigate left and right and select via the button mapper integrated in CarPlay APK, also had wireless CarPlay.
