like monoclonal antibody therapy, could you use RNAi as a technique to inhibit a virus from replicating? you create an siRNA that compliments the mRNA a virus produces to create its proteins in your cells (I guess in a highly conserved section of the virus's DNA), and boom, you have an inhibited virus. I guess you need a mechanism to get the mRNA from an IV drip or something into cells... and specifically into infected cells.
