The problem with the west is that they do little weight training unlike the east armwrestlers does and only keeps on wasting time armwrestling with the amateurs and thinks they have completed their homework like Devon did this time. Such overconfidence and complacency is dangerous in any step of life.. They should spend a major part of their training lifting and pulling weights and train with the most elite rather than waste time pulling at amateur level armwrestling which proved futile this time.. Should learn alot from this event for the west esp Devon Larratt and come much more prepared next time!
That's not the problem. John Brzenk barely did any weight training throughout his entire career and he still destroyed giants. It's all about work ethic. They don't train enough

The sport has grown so competitive lately, where the armwrestlers from the east have started lifting and pulling weights and arm training with such intensity and determination day in and day out that they have become almost impossible to beat just by pulling be it everyday and/or multiple times at amateur level armwrestling clubs.. It's definitely just not enough! Things needs to change and quickly for the westerners!!
