I have watched this film repeatedly, always with joy and awe. A technically proficient group playing with the kind of wise-ass attitude that I really enjoy. I love the guitarist in back of the lead singer, always trying to work his way into the frame! And that knucklehead Wills! Wonderful.

As the title said, the main vocal is by Luke Wills. Luke originally played Upright Bass
    Bass guitar is Kermit Whalen.
    Piano is Al Stricklin
Electric Mandolin beside the drumset is Tiny Moore
Drums are almost certainly Smoky Dacus, though he can't be seen.
Left-side steel is Maurice Andrews, Right side looks like Leon Mcauliffe, but that player isn't really very recognizable in this video.
Fiddler (after Bob Wills initial part) is Joe Holly.

Destiny4511 Do you think so? Wild assed guess only, but I think Leon McAuliffe left the band in 1942 and formed his own band after the war's end. Tommy Duncan left in 1948. And according to his bio Joe Holly didn't join the Playboys until 1944.Damn there's an awful lot of information on the web! I wish we had a date for this film clip!

Destiny4511 Yeah, I'm pretty sure. At 1:03 you can plainly hear Bob call the fiddler "Joe", and I think Joe Holly is the only one of many fiddlers he had that was named Joe.
I would like to get an exact date, (at least to the year) of this clip also. If it's important enough to you, you might be able to ferret that out, because I think this is a clip from a "Star Route" show he did including a young Glen Campbell in 1963.
Glen was on the show often, but it may be the only time Bob was on it at the same time.
There's another, more complete clip of this same video where, in an incredible instance of bad showmanship, Bob makes excuses for Luke, introducing him as as being fat and being allowed to do this piece because he's "Family".

BrickPa Members of the band came and went, and sometimes came again. Leon is one that bounced in and out, and so is Tommy Duncan.
That means you can't really tell by dating a video when someone playing on it joined the band, left it, joined again, or temporarily subbed for one of the regular Playboys.
I spoke with Johnny Gimble a few years ago, and he told me that Bob had over 500 Texas Playboys over the years, and of course Johnny is one that came and went as needed, starting when he was a teenager.
A lot of band members grew tired of life on a bus hundreds of days a year, and left the Playboys to play with Hoyle Nix, who performed all the same material, pretty much all the same way, but didn't tour.
Hoyle acted as a Musician Bank for Bob.
Playboys would leave to play with Hoyle, then later when Bob needed them back, he'd get them, as a sub or as a member of the band again if they weren't still burned out on touring.
If Bob needed a new Playboy, he'd often take one of Hoyle's people.
Hoyle sang on Bob's last album "For The Last Time" recorded in 1973 in Dallas, and his son, Jody Nix, played drums on some of the tracks. The album was recorded in two days.
Bob was wheelchair-bound (from previous strokes) so he only did Patter, and only on the first day, because he had his final massive stroke the first night and went into a coma that he stayed in until he died 16 months later.
Hoyle Nix played fiddle, sang and did the patter on most of the tracks.
The second day, Merle Haggard arrived, and HE was Bob Wills on three of the songs that day, playing fiddle, vocals, and patter.

Seems like Gene Crownover is probably the steel guitar player here - not only does it sound like Bob says "Gene", but his solo sounds very similar to the version of this song in the Together Again album

Anyone have names for who is singing or playing which part?
I heard an introduction from Bob Wills where he called the singer of this song fat and made some excuse to let him sing anyway.
I'm guessing that Luke is the active fiddle player.
Anyone know anything about the pedal steel or the other instruments?

yeah who the hell is the steel player?

The steel player on the left is Maurice Anderson. The one on the right looks like Leon Mcauliffe, but you can't see him all that well in this video.
