- A beach resort town in Thailand loses good chunks of its tourist trade when a killer croc is cut loose and left to roam amongst the locals. The feeding frenzy also raises the stakes in the competition between two competing croc farmers who are liable to lose an arm and a leg if business drops off.

I wish they would make more countries, like Thailand, just for movie shoots. It adds so much to the world building and enhances the story through a rich atmosphere that is not just simulated but realistically captured. Besides the beautiful scenery, the acting is also existent and adds something to the movie. Best character is definitely Greg, although Craig kinda dragged it down a bit in contrast.

Great movie! This is a classic I thought it would be like Sharknado but this has way more depth and beautiful footage and story telling!

Croc Hawkins is a Favorite character since i first watched this movie
Good job Mr. Madsen, as in "Kill Bill" and "Vengeance Unlimited". Excellent job on the multiple appearances of the "monster".
Reservoir Dogs was Madsen's best movie imo. He played his character perfectly...better than Clooney (who was first cast for it) would've.

Crocs are amazing.. I've been within a few feet of one.. but then there was a fence between us 😊
I've been swimming in Broome at the town beach where the crocs and sharks hang around the old abattoir pipe and you can hear the crocs crashing around in the trees and bushes on a little islet close by the shore. They're seen there often but they leave you alone. It was overcast with cloudy/murky water when I swam there (a mate lived at the caravan park at the time then mum moved there years later) and I never encountered any. Mum was filming a massive manta ray and, unknowingly, had a big croc right in front of her as she stood in the water on the sand bar's drop off where it goes deeper. People were yelling out but she couldn't hear them properly so thought they were yelling about the ray. Rangers in a Jeep came screaming down the beach with one of them using binoculars on the bonnet. They screamed at her to get out of the water so she did but told them it was a large manta ray. She nearly died when they told her a big croc was RIGHT in front of her and she's lucky it was chasing the ray.
They generally leave us alone if not provoked...just like sharks. You're more likely to die in a car accident on the way home. Victims of either were just unfortunate enough to be in the midst of a starving croc/shark or a juvie. They're less experienced and more prone to attack. I've been at the Guildford river (part of the Swan River) where tiger and bull sharks are sighted nearly every single day but they just pass through. If I get attacked, it's my own fault. I know the risks. Loved ones know I want no retaliation on the animal.

Nah, that’s Lake Placid
I have heard about salt water gators, however, they are extremely rare. I live in Florida so I do know a lot about crocodiles and alligators and the difference between the 2. In this movie they keep saying the Lake, but it's not a Lake it's the ocean. I know by the fish that are in that water, there were yellow tangs and beautiful colored fish that are definitely salt water fish. They do not live in Lake water. Loved the movie very much though.

Salt water crocs in that area of the world are also called estuarine crocs, they inhabit estuaries where rivers flow into the ocean, in rivers, lakes as well as the ocean. They can live in freshwater, brackish water and saltwater. Kind of like bull sharks can.
It did seem like most of this was shot in the ocean, but they are just as capable of living in freshwater as saltwater.
Maybe I missed the point, but I'm a reptile geek 😅 so I just wanted to make it clear that saltwater crocs can live in freshwater too.
