This is how trailers should be made. Absolutely nothing given away. No visuals of the face-huggers or the alien itself… just the emotions and suspense building of the characters. Brilliant
The same should be FF7 Remake. Not knowing who is Sephiroth. We just hear a guy with the long sword. But Nomura's team destroyed everything.

The film itself allows it. But try doing the same thing with a modern shitty movie. You can´t.
@@VincentKarabouladMusiqueIt’s not irony. It’s called taste. There’s a difference between trailers and teasers. Teasers will always be better because they serve to hook in audiences and get them interested in seeing a movie without spoiling the experience.
A chaotic set of video glues and cliches audio accompaniment
This is better than most trailers today for two reasons. Most trailers today give the entire movie away, and most movies today suck.

I'm glad they give it away because since most movies suck, one can see just how bad and not bother even trying to watch them. Saves us form wasting time. Lol
If this really was a "modern" trailer, it would give the whole plot away. This is how it should be done. Great job.

That was sublime. Even though a film that is over 40 years old you've maintained the integrity of mystery without letting anything away. Great dialogue quips, cuts and just generally well done.

I was one of the people that helped release the original ALIEN in (1979) into theaters as I was a film booker for 20th Century-Fox ... and have since become a filmmaker.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. The way it's presented here makes me want to watch this movie like I've never seen it before. Amazing job!
44 years have passed and this updated trailer reminds us that true brilliance in filmmaking is robust and long-lasting. This film is groundbreaking, not was, is and the fan-made trailer reminds us of why and just how terrifying the Alien movie remains to this day, decades after its release.
This gave me chills!
First, I was worried it would just introduce crazy fast slideshow that reveals 90% of action, with some typical modern trailer sounds accompanying, like "slomo", "wuzzz" etc.
But this is just brilliant! If this was shown in cinemas back in 79, people would freak out more than on Rosemary's Baby! ♥
Makes me want to watch it again for the umpteenth time. Nice work.

I respect that you built tension with out ever showing it. The first Alien largely did this too with a few exceptions, giving just brief glimpses of it until the end.

Form someone who is a massive fan of movies, especially sci fi, I feel like the classics should be left alone including the trailers, but this is amazing!, thrilling!, makes me want to go watch Alien again, going to sub and go watch all your others, well done for keeping the core of the movie there and making a better trailer than the original

I don’t consider this a horror movie. To me, it’s more of a suspenseful thriller. However, this trailer is the perfect representation of the movie’s official genre. It’s mysterious, edge of your seat atmosphere, suspenseful horror. And this is coming from someone who has seen the movie multiple times and loves the two films in the franchise. You are masterful at creating absolutely fantastic and appropriate trailers. Bravo. Well-deserved. Keep up the work.

Great trailer for a masterpiece and love how it doesn’t give too much away. The only thing I would change would be the person singing at the beginning. I feel that kind of choral harmony is overdone in all movies. Keep up the brilliant work.

Wow, this was great! As many of the other comments pointed out, you did an outstanding job capturing the atmosphere and tension of the movie without giving anything away. I wish more movie trailers took this much care in preserving elements of the story for when the audience actually watches it.
Hell, I'll watch that! (Again) - Great edit - and it also shows how good the film making was that it could be "re-sold" like this and stand up to the test of time!

Excellent!! I find that a lot of modern trailers try to create the pace of the film all within the trailer, showing you some of the best shots very quickly but fitting them within the pace (slow pace at start, action packed towards the end). This makes people feel as if they have seen the film before it's released and gives different expectations.
This trailer does that but notice its just the emotions that you see, darker corridors, sweaty faces, some flames and thats just enough since it would ruin the film if it was to reveal anything more.
If this was a true modern trailer you would see the face hugger emerge, you would see it on the face of the guy, you would see characters just before they meet their demise, you would see the good guy become the villain, and in the end they would show you a hint of what the alien looks like!
With this trailer though I like that it has that impactful style, but leaves everything to the imagination - which is what a lot of the film does itself. It doesn't make a different movie out of the edits either, it has slow shots of the corridor because that is what happens in the film, it doesn't have an obnoxious soundtrack lathered all over it either - if it was a trailer today it would have the song "Silence" by simon and garfunkel but done in some sort of slow - building to epic style and then the "in space no one can hear you scream" or something like that. A song that would not even be in the film or anything, just to sell the trailer in that style.
