@@Sagi.Baten.Kaitos yes. Just as I said, there are few reviews of AAIC by people who got pre release copy of the game and they confirm a lot of official names. One of these names is Tabby Lloyd.
OK, so thanks to this video we can see few first minutes of official AAI2:PG translation, and, um... I'm really disappointed. You know, I don't really care this much about the official names (in fact, I really love Eddie Fender, it sounds so cool) but when it comes to the script itself... You see that the people who worked on it are NOT the same as the ones who worked on previous games. What I mean is that there are differences between how the characters in AAI1 and AAI2 talk. For example, in AAI1 Edgeworth did use a lot of smart words and sentences, but I as a non-native English speaker could always understand what he says. Well, now sometimes Edgeworth speaks too simple and sometimes his words are so complicated I don't even know what he says. (I played through entire AAI1 and inspected each dialogue from it, but never ever Edgeworth used such word as "scout", for example). But the biggest difference is in Gumshoe. "Buncha"? "'Em"? " Perp"? Gumshoe NEVER talked like this. Of course being simpleton he used simple words but he never used these slang words. Now he sounds like Lotta Hart rather that Dick Gumshoe. In fact, because the way how characters talk changed I have this weird feeling as if these characters are not the same characters we saw in AAI1's official translation. While watching the part of the video with AAI2 I had this feeling as if there's been few years between AAI1 and AAI2 so the characters have changed over the course of time. And you know it's not truth because AAI2 starts just in a few days after AAI1. And my final complain is the phrasing. No, sometimes, PG has better phrasing than PP (Prosecutor's Path) and sometimes PP has better phrasing than PG. And it's OK, really. What is NOT OK is Chief's Prosecutor's words in the opening. "If anyone can solve this, he can." Like, really? Seriously, it sounds like "Since literally everyone can solve this, he can do it too." And I know I am not the only one who thinks that the phrase sounds this way, because I asked people online and they agreed to me. I know that this phrase means that only Edgeworth can do it, but it sounds so wrong. "If there's anyone who could solve this case, it's him". This phrase is from PP and it sounds much better than PG's one. You understand it only one way. "He's the only one who can solve this case". That's the meaning that I get from reading this line in fan translation. I know that it was hard to Janet to make a localization for the game of the first trilogy era after all this time. I know there were difficulties because localization team was not the same. (Press F to Brandon Gay. Really loved seeing his name in credits) But please understand that game does not feel the same as AAI1 and in my opinion fans did much greater job for making their translation being stylistically similar to AAI1's one. So basically, yeah. In my opinion Prosecutor's Path translation is much better than Prosecutor' Gambit one.
Stop being stupid. The fantranslation is very blunt and doesn't flow well in the slightest. "Scout"? Wow, what a complicated word, only scholars of English will understand this. ""Buncha"? "'Em"? " Perp"? Gumshoe NEVER talked like this." Yes he did what the fuck are you talking about. Nor does Lotta talk like that. You're comparing this to the AAI1 translation? That's stupid. The AAI1 translation is notoriously one of the most flavorless translation the AA series has ever had. The notion that this translation doesn't resemble AAI1's is high praise. Your reading of the Chief Prosecutor's line is straight up braindead, there's no nice way to put it. How the official translation wrote it is a completely valid and common way to say it, and anyone who's brain isn't sludge won't even consider interpreting it the way you did.
