Make your measurement points as far apart as possible. 1% error on 3 centimeters is 3 mm. 1% of 100 centimeters is 10 mm. Then your correction will be much more accurate.

I'm not sure which particular plans or models to recommend but if you choose one that has only 2 or 3 channels with a square wing, that should be easy.
But basically the quick and dirty is that take ur scan or photo import it into your cad program of choice i use autocad. Use the scale command in autocad to make it 1:1 using the measurements on the paper for example if there is a .5 cm measurement on the paper draw a .5 cm line and scale it with the measurement on the paper as reference and the .5 in cad as target then use a different color line /curves to trace the entire. Thing. It is tedious but very rewarding i use this method to actually create the entire plane parts and assemble them as 3d objects. Hope this helps
I have wanted to fly RC my hole 40 years well 35 years My Dad took me at age 5 to see the really nice RC Aircraft fly but there was a problem with people playing on the field! Now you would think by my age I would have accomplished something by now be the troubles of that first trip have followed me! Always something keeping me from trying, I finally Had the money and ordered wltoys F959,and my poor luck continued the Lipo Exploded first charging and the after find a smaller battery at my house I find the rear facing motor was, bad I had a Glider I got from Lidal Grocery store and thought take all working parts and going to try a cheap drone motor and make it work, but battery is not what is really needed, But if I am not able to use the electronics from the Wltoy Model I'm back to haveing nothing not even receiver or controller servos are attached to main board make movement of servos impossible! Long story short I will never achieve a simple life long Dream because of $ ! I must find a way to make a controllable flying glider to learn to fly before putting off a magic trick? to order better model parts, I see you ways Super Smart ways of making things work,yet I don't have your smarts, knowledge ,skills,! I would Appreciate it if I could find someone with the know how to show me the absolute cheapest ways,I Dont know what and the places to order from Banggood is on my Bad side for take my money for a Exploding Battery and finally figuring out the motor was no good as well It sounds impossible, that's I'm sure why Banggood did nothing, if they only knew my luck and true desire to fly! I got to be something better my days are over and Well I want to fly real thing but I hope for help with just flying cheap modified gliders! My father was an aircraft engineer. In my childhood I saw books about RC planes in his cupboard but he never made one. I think he read those book to get information about aerodynamics etc. I too am searching these channels to and hoping to build one..

Copying by taking a picture with a camera will introduce lens distortion. Not a good idea. If you have to do it, use as long of a lens as you can and shoot from as far away as possible to reduce the distortion.

Mark Robinson has a youtube tutorial on doing that but you need Adobe Acrobat Reader which isnt free

If you need help with that i can help you i am an architect and pretty much a dwg expert at this stage

There is an option in Acrobat reader to split a big drawing in A4.

You're completely right. An option is to hang it on the wall, use a camera on a tripod and a long lense and zoom in all the way.
