Thank you for this upload. I haven't heard a voice this good in over 30 years. I really enjoyed listening.
Absolutely beautiful voice.
Such a beautiful voice. So smooth, like silk
So emotionally sung, I burst into tears. Bravo!
MARAVILLOSA VOZ.BRAVO!👏👏👏👏👏❤❤❤
Fabulous! Thank you.
amazing voice agent 47
Glorious. A performance that transports you...
What a beautiful Verdi voice! Such a sense of the lyrical line, too.
My guy John Brancy killing it ! Bravooooo!!!
Big fan of yours!
Beautiful!!
Beautiful rendition! This man has a very big voice but he has it under complete control! His bronze tone is a treat to listen to.
how do u know he has a very big voice?
@@GeeEmming Exactly! Sounds like an undeveloped tenor to me!
He is a tenor!
@@xxsaruman82xx87 i dont know about that, just bugs me, since that is impossible to tell from a video.
@@xxsaruman82xx87 And it bugs me even more when people want to tell singers what fach they are, or that they are singing in the wrong one.
Wonderful, Bravo!
Wow, so impressive
Grandioso splendido
Wow! I've sung the aria, but never the following cavatina. This is beaufitul and artful singing. I'm so glad I've discovered this wonderful young singer on UA-cam. This is an inspiration!
He's a tenor
@@xxsaruman82xx87 No, he is not. I know it may be hard for you to understand singing, as you probably don't really do it for a living, but John is what I'd call a cavalier baritone. Happy to sing high notes but his voice doesn't live there. Nucci is infamously a "tenor" but has been paid, and still is being paid, as a baritone. Do not tell another singer what fach they are. You are not them.
@@thomaslehmanbaritone Nucci is a tenor!!!!
@@xxsaruman82xx87 Did you just not want to read what I wrote? I don't care what you, some random person think, you cannot tell people what voice type they are.
@@xxsaruman82xx87 It's about TESSITURA. Period.
I'm blown away!!! I don't believe it gets any better
A new star is born with a beautiful voice. Bravo for this wonderful rendition.
Podia el senior cantar tan bien ? 💝
Impressive performance..bravo
Très exceptionnel! À surveiller de près.
damn I almost clapped in the middle there ngl
❤
Bravo
Why his voice tremble
Some people have faster rates of vibrato. Is this really a question?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Good voice but not for Verdi yet.
Someday maybe, but not yet. Though beautifull voice.
He's a tenor
@@xxsaruman82xx87 Jesus christ you really commented on almost every comment. I'd like a link to your videos please so i can give some constructive criticism, thanks.
@@GeeEmming That's because he is a tenor. He sounds like Thomas Hampson, and Nucci, also both tenors.
@@xxsaruman82xx87 No, pretty sure they're both world class baritones.
Que maestro ruim de serviço.
pretty voice - WRONG Rep.
Excellent. But in all honesty, not the breath control of Dmitri at this age. The long phrasing by Dmitri gives the aria a more lyrical melancholy quality. Must have been Dmitri's suffering hard early life in Siberia Communist Russia that made him so soulful. Besides the technique, with any instrument, it is the soul that communicates in the end.
Oh, I have the breath control of Dmitri, don't worry.
You opera fans love to do two things: Act like you know a single thing about singing and act like you know a single thing about the lives of singers. John, you sound awesome dude, and this was a triumphant sing in a very important competition! ALWAYS love your singing!
@@thomaslehmanbaritone Perhaps you should listen to Mr Hvorostovsky’s interpretation before dismissing the comment. I first heard the Russian sing this aria in the 1989 Cardiff Singer of the World competition, as it was part of his winning program. He was only 27 at the time and there were other serious contenders for the title that year, particularly the Welsh.bass baritone, Sir Bryn Terfel.

@@ixopo6715 Yes, I've seen every single clip from both of their song and aria prize winning performances. I've seen both of them live many times and consider them legends in the operatic world who everyone should aspire to be.
@@JohnBrancy, привираете, батенька! Ария лавочника, а не героя. Привет из России. 😊😊😊
EXCELENTE!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
