Amy, it looks like you do great work and you like what you do! But please wear gloves more often and consider at least a basic dust mask . So many taxidermists have neurologic problems later in life. I used to work in a taxidermy shop when I was in college and stayed in touch with many of the taxidermists. I’m a physician now and I look back and think of all the chemicals and the aerosolized particles from say, grinding antler horns down or sanding leather are just two things I can think of that are just not healthy for you. Anyways, I like your videos. Stay healthy.
I have owned a pair of Gator tail boot since 2000. I have found the hide will color fade after 10 years, so a good coat of Neatsfoot oil every 5 years helps maintain the color. If you like cowboy type boots, this hide will last the longest and not crack.
Im new to your channel but it looks like you definitely got the gift my friend i do about a 100 European mounts a season my self looks like got you it down to a science
Great job Amy,superb work, you do such amazing work.Ive recently came across your videos and watch alot of them.I used to mess around with taxidermy for myself.Ducks geese, and i did an blue snowgoose one time, they are fairly easy for me.But for you i would recommend your work to evryone. Was wondering what part of NC you are from!?
Your videos are awesome! I’ve been learning a lot. Do you think you can do some more videos on deer? Specifically mule deer, And some of the detail work in the face area. I see you have beautiful deer mounts in your studio but not much videos on them.

What tanning product did you use to tan it ? Awesome job!
Great job. Would really like to know how you tanned the skin?

Hey Amy I do taxidermy on snakes very easy if you want to know how
Baddy!!!!
Is there anything special you have to do to tan the hide? or do you treat it like a bird?
What tanning formula did you use my dear friend?
Why no hide paste on gators
