Just thought of this question if I may, is it better to have a plane that the landing gear actually retracts into the bottom of the plane than the other ones that dont, cause I dont know if I'm correct here or not, but with the planes where the landing gear doesn't retract, once you get up in the air and reach crusing altitude, doesn't the gear sometimes tend to actually slow the plane down, if correct it's called Drag??? tahank you......

Better or not will depend on the aircrafts' specifications which can be limited by many factors such as cost, payload etc. But yes the non retractable landing gear actually cause drag of up 25% of the speed if all other factors remain constant.
