iPhone X Ear Speaker replacement- without loosing face ID

This is a video of how I replaced the ear speaker of an iPhone X. The whole process didn’t took much time , however i was shocked at the pricing for such services at the Apple service center. Apples grow on trees, but money don’t. So be smart save some money and find good place at good price for your repair .

I broke the old ribbon, which part of the assemble responsible for face ID? It's part of the ribbon isn't it?

Well yeah the ribbon is paired to the phone so face id wont work if you just replace it . To fix this you need to transfer the proximity sensor and the flood illuminator on new flex . But that’s something a professional should try

Does phone need to be backed up before this?

I usually recommend backing up the device no matter what repair is preformed as things might go wrong. However if the device has no data on it , no back up is needed.
