Wow. Absolutely outstanding. First rate in every respect. Sugawa's has been my favorite performance of this piece, but I'm going to have to take another listen to it now...
It doesn't appear to be. I have it on a CD by the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra called _Rainbows and Concertos_. It seems to be out of print: Amazon says "currently unavailable;" no sign of it on iTunes or CDJapan. You might try looking for it on eBay or something like that.
It varies slightly from Horn to Horn. The fingerings that I use for G6 (I think its 6. AS a pianist and sax player Im not completely sure of that... Just know most professional saxes have the HIGHT F# as the highest (Legit Fingering - 3 spoon keys plus the side key) The altissimo fingerings your asking about are for notes higher than that F#. But its true.. It varies from horn to horn. Ive seen "GENERAL" fingerings that might work and variants of those.. But Its something youll have to experiment with on your own. :)
Katherine: You, Ingolf and the Ensemble rocked the house!
The altissimo hit in the second Movment made my knees weak
