I propose the bark beetle have a new ability I called "woodchipper" it allows it to set spikes for free when it hits a grass type with a physical bug type move. If that's too general, you could add extra requirements like the hit has to be super effective, and the move must make contact.

Ragank, the burgler Pokemon, Ragank is said to follow trainers who have an abundence of items on them and steal from them. If they are not able to, they will initiate a battle with the trainer instead. (if you lose the battle, your most valuable item will be taken)
I think it's ability should be called Heist, this ability has a 50% chance of being activated if the opponents Pokemon has an item, that Ragank will use. It becomes 100% if the opposing Pokemon ends up with a status condition that last 2 or 3 turns.
i'm not good with giving possible game explinations, so if you have any changes feel free to add them :D

I think a good ability for Chipeetle would be sap sipper, getting an attack boost whenever hit by a grass move. I could also see a new ability that’s the grassy terrain equivalent of Alolan raichu’s surge surfer
I feel like the bug should have Sap Sipper, or a renamed version of it.
Since the idea is that of a parasitic invasive species that can decimate any kind of tree, I feel like an ability that leaves grass types in absolute despair should fit.
I love that the starters are inspired by movies since the professor was a movie star. I can even imagine the professor describing the pokemon from films like "Klafambe, the fire starter, it reminds me of all the action movies i starred"

14:53 I totally agree with you, I think there should be a standalone woodpecker Pokémon, but I would like to inform you that there is a logical reason for why trumbeak evolves into toucannon, and it is that toucans are actually very closely related to woodpeckers, both being part of the order Piciforme. Toucans are basically just big South American woodpeckers that replaced their wood pecking ability, for very good catching abilities. There’s even a type of bird in the same family called a barbet, that straight up looks like a combination of a woodpecker and a toucan(kinda like trumbeak.) It would be cool to get a regional form or a split evolution for pikipek that is more based off of woodpeckers, more specifically the largest species of woodpecker, that is now thought to be extinct, the imperial woodpecker.

For the woodpecker Pokémon’s next/ final stage evo it would be so cool if the block of wood on the beak turned into a hammer it could use. Could even be its special move or something. The block would stay on the beak, but the Pokédex entry could be something like “this Pokémon’s evolution was brought on my it figuring out how to use a potential weakness to its gain.”
This looks amazing! I love the art, these should be real Pokemon! As for my starter, I would choose the fire type! I love him so much and I usually go for fire types anyways but this one just got into my heart 💝

This is the first video I think I've watched of yours and I enjoyed this very much. All of your Route 1 'mons are adorable. The enjoyed how expressive they are with their own little personalities, especially the little raccoon! (In my mind I've named him Yoinkoon lmao)
As for any ability ideas for Bug, all I can imagine is it doing like more damage to Grass types, which is grossly unfair for Grass types lmao! Another idea is maybe like a Grass type Water Absorb where it heals from being hit with Grass moves as a nod to how it feasts on trees.
I don't know how you go about movesets for your Fakemon, but I'm just imagining the Raccoon learning things like Payday or Switcheroo and things where you can gain money or items from it. Pickup would be a very good flavor ability, if you haven't already though to give it that.

I was thinking a pistol shrimp, considering the western motif. Some also have that pink coloration on their underside that the fakemon already seems to have.
@DarkwingSnark i too was thinking pistol shrimp. Could end up being a water/ fire maybe or something like that due to the fact that pistol shrimp close their claws so quick it can boil the water

Yo, I think I know how to help Glolurk! Ok, so he's like a nuclear reactor without the containment needed to keep him from burning and radiating everything and everyone around himself, right? Well, why not give him an evolution that does just that and gives him the containment he needs?
I mean, think about it, it makes sense, right? Plus, he could function similarly to Pokémon such as Galarian Weezing, Grimer/Muk, and Alolan Grimer/Muk, making him be able to not only feed off his own radiation, but *any* kind of radiation as well! He'd be the clean energy Pokémon! :D
As to how to evolve him, I'd love to make it a friendship evolution, but that'd take too long, and it's not realistically feasible, I think. No, instead, let's make it an item evolution! By giving him a certain item, he'll immediately evolve into his more contained final evo!
Question is, what item would work for Glolurk? Maybe a depleted uranium plate or something?

It took away so much from your STARTER video, plus no DEX display /entry / stats, i swear its been a minute after i cant remember the names...
As always your art is TOP TIER but just like the PoryCo videos, you should have mantained the narrative aspect to really seep in the love for this mons aswell... (adding route 1s also takes away from them).
PS: After finishing the video, im starting to believe your intention was to make it casual, by giving those glimpses of the Ominous to come... perhaps? The feeling of it, great, my past point stands; the Starters felt foreign in there own video
